An interview with Dark Lord Darth Nox, a member of the
Dark Council as Sphere of Ancient Knowledge.

INTERVIEWER - Thank you for meeting me, my lord. I must say,
you're almost a mirror image of your ancestor, the legendary Sith Lord Aloysius Kallig.

DARTH NOX - I am no longer a lord. I was recently promoted to the rank of Darth,
by the Dark Council.

INTERVIEWER - Sorry, Darth Nox. How exactly does the rank structure work
within the sith empire?

DARTH NOX - A prospective sith starts as an ACOLYTE at the academy.
After several years, the top acolytes may be selected by a Sith Lord to become
their APPRENTICE. I was taken by Lord Zash as her apprentice. After many decades,
I was promoted to LORD; while Lord Zash was promoted to Darth Zash. After defeating
Darth Thanaton in a kaggath, I was promoted to the title of DARTH by the Dark Council,
and given a new name; NOX. Since Darth Thanaton sat upon the Dark Council,
I inherited his seat.

INTERVIEWER - And how do you like your new position on the council? Do you appreciate
and respect the past as much as he did?

DARTH NOX - At first, I must admit I did not. Like many sith, I considered the past to
be history. However, since discovering my own connection to Aloysius Kallig, I have begun
to appreciate the past. We can learn much from those that came before us.

INTERVIEWER - So very true. You mentioned your kaggath with Darth Thanaton.
Do you remember what started your feud with Thanaton?

DARTH NOX - He hated my guts, and the sediment was very much mutual.
I would do anything, just to get under his skin. I hated the arrogant, stupid bastard.
After I broke into his private library, the brain dead fool challenged me to a kaggath.
He lost. Now he's dead. Good riddance.

INTERVIEWER - I have seen the security video of your final fight with Thanaton,
fought within the chambers of the Dark Council. Impressive victory.
Why did you leave him alive afterwards? It was council member Darth Mortis that
killed him.

DARTH NOX - I would rather leave him alive, with no dignity left.
It's more humiliating. I can understand why Mortis broke his neck, however.
Since he lost, he had outlived his usefulness. He had shown how weak he truly was.

INTERVIEWER - Who with the empire has had the most influence on you?
Who do you try to emulate?

DARTH NOX - While I will forever be grateful to Lord Zash for choosing me to
be her apprentice, I would prefer to emulate my ancestor, Aloysius Kallig.
And of course our ultimate master, Emperor Vitiate.

INTERVIEWER - I find that a lot of sith admire the Emperor. Have you ever heard
of his homeworld, called Nathama?

DARTH NOX - I have heard of Nathama. The Emperor's crowning achievement.
A thing of true beauty.

INTERVIEWER - I wouldn't call it beautiful. The new Empire's Wrath, Lord Scourge,
threw up his lunch. Vitiate stole all of the force energy from everything and everyone
on that planet; leaving behind a lifeless, forceless world.

DARTH NOX - And I admire him for it. True power from a true leader.

INTERVIEWER - I noticed your body armor bears a striking resemblance to the
armor of your ancestor, especially the helmet. I has an almost ghostly appearance to it.

DARTH NOX - It should. It was his. He led me to his tomb, and gave me his old armor.

INTERVIEWER - I guess that makes sense. You are his family, after all.
You carry his DNA, his genes.

DARTH NOX - I have one advantage over him. I sit on the dark council. He did not.

INTERVIEWER - I don't think that Dark Lord Tulak Hord had a dark council.
Emperor Vitiate first formed the dark council shortly after landing on Dromund Kaas.

DARTH NOX - The Emperor may have formed the dark council; however the sith council
was around since the days of Ajunta Pall, in one form or another.

INTERVIEWER - I suppose that is the advantage of being the Sphere of Ancient Knowledge.
You study the past, so that it is not forgotten.

DARTH NOX - Correct.

INTERVIEWER - Mind if I ask a few more personal questions?
Is there a pre-battle meal that you must have?

DARTH NOX - Liver and fava beans. While I prefer jedi liver, rancor, blurrg, or bantha
liver will do. Fresh is preferred. Which reminds me, we need to rap this up soon.
I'm having some jedi over for dinner.

INTERVIEWER - How do you relax during your free time?

DARTH NOX - By studying holocrons. As the Sphere of Ancient Knowledge,
I have access to the entire sith archives. Including hundreds of holocrons.
Some dating back from before the sith empire.
