The Eye
The night was cold as a figure walked into a shady part of town without his usual protection. Before long he got to his destination, a downward leading staircase in the side of an ally, and with a look around started his way down.
As he made his way down he heard the sounds of dueling. When he got to the bottom of the stairs he saw a cage match going on with one side being a massive, bald man wearing nothing but camo pants and his electrodes, and on his field was an Ancient Gear Hunting Hound. And on the other side was a figure in a red duelist coat, a black tank top, black boots, red pants, and a black full face mask with orange hair wildly pointing in every direction with a clear field.
"I use the effect of my Ancient Gear Hunting Hound to send it, my Ancient Gear Golem, and my Ancient Gear Beast to fusion summon Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem!" said the big one as a massive centaur made of metal burst from a portal.
Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem- level 10/ EARTH/ ATK: 4400/ DEF: 3400
I can't wait to knock out your life points next turn. It's your move Inferno!"
"I do believe it will be your life points that will be reaching zero this turn. I draw" the figure said with a distorted voice.
Inferno: 3400 - ?: 4000
"Now then I think I'll start off by normal summoning my Volcanic Rocket in attack mode and activating its effect to add Blaze Accelerator to my hand."
Volcanic Rocket- level 4/ FIRE/ ATK: 1900/ DEF: 1400
"Next I play the continuous spell Blaze Accelerator. Now then the effect of my Volcanic Sniper activates! You see when a blaze accelerator card is on the field I can special summon him from my hand." and now alongside his rocket was a humanoid figure made out of brass holding a sniper rifle in its hand.
Volcanic Sniper- level 4/ FIRE/ ATK: 1500/ DEF: 1500
"Now then I tune my level four Volcanic Sniper with my level four Volcanic Rocket! Synchro Summon! From the cardinal east comes the god of the sun and wind! Behold! Quetzalcoatl, the Feathered Serpent!" and with a massive blast of wind a giant snake covered in colorful feathers and a pair of bird-like wings appeared onto his field. "And the effect of my sniper activates allowing me to draw one card."
Quetzalcoatl, the Feathered Serpent- level 8/ WIND/ ATK: 2700/ DEF: 2300
After the other duelist took his arm away from his face he got a look at the summoned monster, and laughed. "All that work for nothing!" he said as he swiped his hand sideways. "In case you haven't noticed your monster is much too weak to battle mine! Admit it, you've lost!" he finished pointing at Inferno, which only made him sigh.
"How long have you been an underground duelist? It mustn't have been for long because you've already made a foolish mistake." he said shaking his head.
"Oh and what's that?" the man asked confused.
"Summoning a high level monster against me. I activate my dragon's effect! You see once per turn I can pick another monster on the field and you take damage equal to its level x400, and you left me such a good target." At this the other man became pale and started sweating heavily.
Inferno swung his arm forward while saying "Now go Quetzalcoatl use your effect! Fire Whirlwind'!"
His dragon breathed out a blast of fire that covered his opponent as he screamed from his high level shock.
Inferno: 3400 - ?: 0
WINNER: Inferno
The man from before let a smile form on his face as he made his way towards the winner.
"That was quite the show you put on young man." he said whilst holding out his hand that Inferno looked at before hesitantly shaking. "What is a man like yourself doing here Goodwin?"
"Ahh, straight to the point, I was told about that." Rex Goodwin stated before continuing, "As you are probably aware the fortune cup is to be held in a week and I want you to join."
At this Inferno tilted his head, "And you want me why?"
Now it was Rex's turn to shake his head, "I want you because you are a skilled duelist and I will be offering you money to join, and I can assure you that the offer is much more than what you make in your underground duels. So do we have a deal?"
Inferno straightened up and after some thought, "You have a deal."
"Pleasure working with you Inferno, I will see you at the cup." said Goodwin before handing him an invite and walking away into the night, leaving Inferno to look up at the ceiling.
'So that was Goodwin, the bastard probably didn't think I knew, but all the same I would rather not end up in the facility after seven years of injuring sector security officers.'
Meanwhile further down the streat Goodwin got back in his car and drove off and with him several sector security vehicles followed.

Well that went well. On another note for anyone here wanting me to update my other stories I am working on them and should have the next chapters of White Tiger of the Fang and Of Knights, Ghouls, and Vampires done within a week.
Now onto this story. Unlike usual I actually have most of this one planned out as opposed to having only a beginning and end in mind like most of my stories. Also in regards to Inferno. Many might just say he's emo or something like that, but in my head he's not instead he is simply dedicated to something. What that something is well you'll just have to find out won't you?
