Spock sat in the pilot's seat in the Galileo. Random lights flickered on the console, which he watched without showing any emotion, as always. The lights stopped flashing and a female voice announced, in a very computer like tone: "Diagnostics are complete. Impulse and Warp systems are online and nominal. The shuttle can now resume space flight."

Spock shut down the console. He rotated his seat and almost leaped out of it, as the green changeling had been able to sneak up on him.

"Dude, so your ship is fixed?"

"It has been satisfactorily repaired. The components that the Kryptonian provided proved to be adequate, though they were slightly out of spec."

"So, this means it's time for you to go home?"

"That is correct."

Gr nodded and Spock noticed that the changeling was becoming misty eyed.

"Rave and I are gonna miss you."

It was another one of those irrational human emotions.

"You will both have your memories of me."

"I know … we won't forget you."

"I will also remember you, Garfield Logan, and I will remember your wife and her unusual abilities."

"You still don't believe in magic do you?"

"As I have mentioned before, just because I cannot explain her abilities, it doesn't mean they are supernatural."

"But; they could be, right?"

Spock stood up and tugged on his blue tunic.

"There is an author from your era, named Arthur C. Clark. He once said that 'Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic'."

Gar furrowed his brow. "Rave isn't technology."

"It is true that she is not an artificial being, but the point does stand. Her abilities could be based on natural processes that I do not comprehend, thus they would be indistinguishable from magic."

"Dude, that sounds like a cop out."

Spock calmly replied. "If it makes you feel better, I will concede that there is a possibly, however small, that your spouse has magical powers."

"I suppose that is as close as you are going to concede, Mr. Spock." Raven announced as she had just entered the shuttle.

"You may not see it this way, but that is a major concession for a Vulcan. We know that we are not all knowing or infallible. The Vulcan Academy of Science once declared that time travel was impossible."

"And yet, here you are."

"Indeed."

Starfire and Robin entered the shuttle. She handed Spock a Tamaranian data pad.

"A safe path back to the wormhole is plotted on this datapad. You should not encounter any Gordanian or Citadel patrols."

Spock downloaded the coordinates into the shuttle's computer.

"Thank you, grandmother Kori."

Cyborg entered the shuttle, which was now starting to feel crowded.

"It is time for me to leave." Spock announced.

Everyone nodded. Raven approached him first. She saluted him with the Vulcan hand gesture.

"Live long and prosper, Spock, of the House of Grayson."

Spock raised his hand and returned the gesture. "Live long and prosper, Raven of the House of Logan."

Cyborg approached the alien. "It won't be the same here without you."

"Thank you for your kind words, Mr. Stone."

Gar stepped up raised his fist. Spock recognized the gesture and awkwardly completed the fist bump.

"Dude, you're the best."

Spock resisted the urge to explain the Beast Boy's assertion was unprovable, and instead replied "So are you … dude."

Finally, Starfire and Robin stepped forward to say their goodbyes.

"I will miss you, my dear grand bumgorph."

"Take care, Spock. Live long and prosper." Robin added.

"Thank you. I also wish you a long and prosperous life." He replied as he once again made the Vulcan hand gesture. Starfire lunged forward and hugged him. Spock seemed surprised at first and did not initially respond. After a long pause he gingerly patted her on the back.

The Titans exited the shuttle and the hatch closed behind them. The shuttle's nacelles began to hum and glow. After which the craft levitated out of the Tower's hanger. It then began a rapid ascent into the sky and was gone.

The Galileo's journey into the Vega system was uneventful. Spock's presence was detected by a Gordanian patrol ship, but the Galileo easily outran it. As he approached the wormhole it opened and the shuttle entered. This time the shuttle was undamaged and he was prepared. The transit was uneventful and as soon as he emerged on the other side he received a standard Starfleet hail.

"Enterprise to Galileo. Please respond." Uhura's voice boomed from the console.

"This is Galileo."

"Mr. Spock, Welcome home. We have been expecting you."

"You were expecting me, lieutenant?"

"The Captain is back, He's waiting for you in the shuttle bay. He'll explain."

"Very well. I am on course for the Enterprise. Spock out."

Minutes later the Galileo was safely parked in the Enterprise's shuttle bay. As Spock opened the hatch he saw that the Captain, Bones and Scotty were waiting to meet him. Scotty quickly inspected the shuttle.

"So it's true, you put alien technology in my shuttle. Though I suppose that you dinna have a choice, right lad?"

Spock arched an eyebrow. "Mr. Scott, how did you know? I have informed no one of this."

"Welcome home, Spock." Kirk greeted his first officer. "Come, I'll explain everything to you."

Kirk pressed a comm panel switch.

"Bridge, this is the Captain, take us to Earth, maximum warp."

They entered the turbo lift. The doors shut and it took off.

"You've been gone for almost two months, Spock." Kirk said nonchalantly.

"All details will be in my report." Spock calmly replied.

"I know, Spock. I'm glad you made it back."

Spock turned to face Kirk. "Captain. Lt. Uhura said that you were expecting me. Would you care to elaborate?"

"You mother contacted us. She told us the time of your return. She didn't tell us how she came across this information."

"She must have uncovered it at the excavation site. Captain, why are we returning to Earth?"

Kirk shrugged, "Starfleet ordered us back to Earth. No explanation was given."

The turbo lift opened its doors and the four officers entered the bridge and took their places.

"Status, Mr. Checkov."

"We are on course for Earth, Warp factor 8.7. keptin. We will arrive in 47 minutes.

About 60 minutes later …

Starbase One hung in orbit over Earth, looking like a giant mushroom. The Enterprise was given top priority to dock and quickly entered the giant structure. After docking, Kirk, Spock, McCoy and Scotty disembarked, hoping to find out why the Enterprise had been recalled. A grim faced security officer met them at the gantry.

"Captain, you and your senior staff, please follow me." He said in a curt tone, immediately turning and walking away.

"Great, now the temporal investigators are going to grill us." McCoy grumbled under his breath. "They can be such a nuisance. As if they can do anything to undo what might have happened."

The security officer led them down various passageways, finally stopping at a door, which slid open. He gestured for them to enter the room, but did not follow them in. After they entered the door closed behind them. A Starfleet admiral and Amanda Grayson were in the room, with two civilians, one of which was an alien humanoid. Kirk immediately recognized the admiral.

"Admiral Ramirez. I thought you were commissioning Starbase fifty seven,"

"I was, but I came back as soon as I heard the news."

"News?" Kirk replied.

Spock stepped up to his mother.

"Greetings, mother. I see we have guests."

Spock stepped past his mother and stopped in front of the humanoid, who was female, had blue eyes, dark hair and a faint orange complexion.

"You are Tamaranian." He announced.

The female smiled. "Only half. I'm Mar'i Grayson and this is my husband, Damian Wayne."

Spock arched an eyebrow.

"My parents are Koriand'r and Richard Grayson. I am your great times 9 grandmother."

"If you are who you say you are, then you should know that I do not have any Tamaranian DNA. Surely, your parents told you this."

Amanda placed a hand on her son's shoulder.

"Perhaps you do not Spock, but I do. I also have some of Grandfather Damian's DNA. Turns oout we are also Waynes"

Spock formed a tent with his fingers. "Fascinating." Her turned to his grandparents. "May I ask how you arrived here in the 23rd century?"

"We were traveling to Tamaran and took a detour to avoid the Gordanians, who were chasing us, which lead us near the Draconis nebula." Damian explained.

"The one with the black holes." Kirk added. "It's best to avoid it if possible."

"Correct. Anyway, to make a long story short, we accidentally went through another worm hole, and, well, here we are. We arrived about 3 weeks ago."

McCoy stepped forward. "So, you are really Spock's ancestors? You aren't pulling out legs?"

Admiral Ramirez nodded, "It's been confirmed beyond a shadow of doubt. But before we have a family celebration, we have a problem to deal with."

"What kind of problem?" Kirk asked.

"We haven't had any children yet." Wayne interjected. "Unless we go home, the timeline will be affected."

"I see." Kirk agreed.

"Jim, I want to be 100% certain that these two make it back to 21st century Earth. Their shuttle is slow and primitive, they were found drifting in space. We can't risk sending them back through the wormhole in that tin can, they might not survive the transit or having these Gordanians, whoever they are, shoot them down if they make it through. I want the Enterprise to take them home." Ramirez ordered.

"Do we know anything about these Gordanians?" Bones asked. "All I know is that they're extinct now."

"They are somewhat backward. The Enterprise should be easily able to outrun them. It should also be impervious to any attack." Spock calmly replied.

Admiral Ramirez nodded. "The Enterprise is to leave immediately. Gentlemen, I cannot emphasize how important this mission is. We have no idea of what will happen to the timeline should our visitors from the past fail to return home.

"We will get them home, admiral." Kirk replied.

-(-)-

"Plotting a course for the Draconis nebula, keptin." Mr Checkhov announced.

"Take us to warp six, Ensign." Kirk replied. "Mr. Spock, our guests are confined to quarters to prevent any further timeline contamination. Since these 'Titans' already know you, I want you to deliver them. Stay as little as possible. Also, take them in the shuttle. There's no need for them to know about the transporters."

"Agreed." Spock replied.

-(-)-

The trip to the wormhole's entrance was uneventful, and as soon as it was reached it opened, like a Morning Glory at dawn. Kirk was instructed to destroy the wormhole on their way back. The Federation's Council of Temporal Affairs had decided that both wormholes needed to be destroyed, both to prevent further contamination of the timeline, and to prevent more visitors from the past from showing up. The last thing the Federation wanted was for the Gordanians or the Citadel to arrive and form alliances with enemies.

They Enterprise journeyed through the wormhole without incident. There was a single Gordanian patrolship when they emerged on the other side and as Spock predicted they easily avoided it and outran it, and quickly headed for Earth. It crossed Spock's mind that the Eugenics war would be beginning in another ten years, and he had no idea if Mar'i or Damian would survive it, all he knew was that their offspring, or at least one of them, would survive. While he would have liked to warn them, he knew that he could not.

The Enterprise remained outside the solar system, in the Kuiper belt, to avoid detection by any Earth observers. Spock collected his passengers and after boarding the Galileo they were off. Spock took them in at warp 4 and within a few minutes they were in Earth orbit. Before anyone could challenge the Galileo's presence Spock entered the atmosphere and laid in a course to Jump City. Soon the T shaped tower was visible and he received a hail. A few minutes later the shuttle was in the tower's rooftop hangar. Spock looked out of the shuttle's front window and saw five somewhat familiar figures, and a few new ones.

Spock opened the hatch and exited the shuttlecraft followed by Mar'i and Damian. A man in a black unitard with a blue birdlike symbol on his chest approached him.

"Spock, you haven't aged a day."

"From my perspective I left you only a few days ago. I returned via a different wormhole. I see you are no longer wearing the Robin costume."

"Yeah, I go by Nightwing now. And I see you recovered Mar'i and Damian,"

Starfire stepped forward next. "It gives me great joy to see you again, grand bumgorph Spock. And thank you for bringing them home,"

"I am also gratified to see you, grandmother. And you are welcome."

Gar, Raven and a young woman who looked like a younger version of Raven, except that she had green hair and eyes and pointed ears as well.

"Welcome back, Spock." Raven greeted him. She looked young for her age, but there was no mistaking that she was no longer a young woman.

"Dude, it's good to see you." A now balding changed added. "This is our daughter, Arella Logan."

Spock nodded his acknowledgment. "Thank you, and I am pleased to meet you, Miss Logan."

Cyborg was next. "Good to see you Spock".

Spock's communicator trilled, and he answered.

"This is Spock."

"Spock." Kirk replied. "There's a change in plans. You'll need to stay on Earth for a bit."

"What is reason, Captain?"

"The Enterprise is under attack."
