AUTHOR'S NOTE: Before this begins you should probably read the story "If Tails Was in Fortnite" otherwise half the stuff here won't make any fucking sense. Also I don't own any of these characters (the new catalyst was based on a concept I saw but idk the name of the artist)

"So you're Tails' brother?" asked Resolve

"Yep. I found him when he was 3." reied Sonic

"Wait what do you mean found? You mean an orphanage right?"

"Not at all. I found him in the forest."

"I'm not sure I want to know." said Catalyst

"So anyone want something to eat?" asked Tails

"Sure, I guess I'm hungry after that fight." said Resolve. They all walked into the kitchen. What they didn't know was that there was a camera inside of the workshop hearing everything. The camera was connected to many monitors in a mysterious lair. Inside that lair was a mysterious figure. That figure stepped out of the shadow and revealed to have a red hoodie, black sweat pants, and yellow and black high tops. He had a kitsune mask instead of a kitsune face.

"Oh Catalyst. You don't know what happened to you do you? You'll find out soon enough." the voice came from the figure who was none other then Drift.

(I would guess here if this was a show there would be an intro here so if you want to do something weird like that listen to the Jojo song "Chase")

CHAPTER 1: The new ability

After the 4 ate they decided to go outside and see Sonic demonstrate his power.

"So you run fast? That's it?" asked Catalyst

"It's a lot more useful then you think." said Sonic. He ran down the street and back in less then a second. He then used his homing attack to destroy the nearby tree in one hit.

"You just obliterated that tree!" shouted Catalyst

"It's called a homing attack." said Sonic "You curl up into a ball and throw yourself."

"Let me have a try." said Resolve

"You can try on the forest over there." said Sonic pointing to the forest behind the house "But you've never done it before so I wouldn't expect too much." Right after he spoke Resovle did a homing attack right through 4 of the trees! He landed onto the ground and looked at Sonic. Sonic couldn't say anything.

"Did I do it right" asked Resolve

"You said you've never heard of a homing attack till now?" asked Sonic

"Correct." replied Resolve

"And you had never tried anything like it?"

"Yep."

"SO THEN HOW DID YOU DO THIS FIRST TRY?!"

"Well I used chaos energy to charge up."

"Wait wait wait, you can use chaos energy?"

"Yep! It's been built inside my body for almost a year now."

"You were struck by the emeralds weren't you?"

"I did see emeralds so I guess."

"I guess you have a lot more potential then I thought." Sonic paused "Catalyst, do you have any ability?"

"Well I can shoot this red lightning out of my hands." Catalyst replied

"Alright, let's see it." said Sonic. Catalyst focused on a tree. She planted her foot on the ground and then struck out her hand and shot out red lightning that destroyed 5 trees in a row.

"Catalyst... I think you can use chaos energy!" said Sonic

"That's chaos energy? How can you tell?"

"I can feel the presence of chaos energy when it is shot out and that is definently it."

"Then why is it red?" asked Catalyst

"It seems to be unique to you. Meaning it has some sort of power you haven't discovered yet that will be very useful in the future."

"In the future? Sounds mysterious."

"It is. But the good news is that it will be for good use." said Sonic. Sonic paused. "Hey Resolve, what happened to the emeralds after they gave you that power?"

Resolve replied "Well first they shot off energy onto the new island I lived on for another year which explains the reason Catalyst got her abilities. After that the 7 shot onto this weird looking planet that had an odd combination of biomes."

"Mobius..." said Tails "The emeralds are here on Mobius! We have to get them before Eggman finds out they're here!"

"We don't have to worry about him for a while." said Sonic "While you were away he attacked the city but I stopped him. His Egg mobile fell on him and he's in the hospital for a while."

"Who's Eggman?" asked Resolve

"An evil scientist that makes robots to take over Mobius." replied Sonic. "But he won't be an issue for a while."

"Sonic, I know what you mean by feeling the presence of chaos energy. I feel it coming that way." Catalyst said as she pointed towards the forest.

"It's getting late." said Sonic "With Eggman around we won't need to worry about someone getting them. We'll just get them tomorrow."

"But Sonic what if someone we don't know takes it?" asked Catalyst

"Then you shouldn't go alone anyways." replied Sonic. "We might as well get some sleep now." They headed towards the house. "Resolve you can sleep in the guest room while Catalyst can sleep in my room. I'll sleep on the couch." They all got into bed and went to sleep. That was all except Catalyst. She still felt the presence and couldn't sleep cause of it. She had to go find the emerald.

"By the energy I can tell it's deep inside the forest." said Catalyst to herself "I'll have to use a vehicle." she then looked out her window to see a sudan in the driveway. "Perfect. Now to just find the keys." She put on her sneakers and went downstairs.

She tip toed down the stairs and into the kitchen. She saw the keys on the counter. "That was easier then expected." she said to herself. "Now to climb out my window so no one notices." She started to go up on the stairs but when she stepped on the 5th stair it creaked loudly. Sonic rustled on his couch. Catalyst sighed to herself and went up the stairs. She went up the stairs and into her room. She climbed out her window and into the car.

"Now to get that emerald." she said. She turned on the engine. She looked left and right to make sure no one was near. She pulled the car into reverse and pressed the gas pedal lightly to make sure no one heard the car. Once she was out of the driveway she put the car in drive and stepped on the gas. The car sped onto the dirt road and into the forest.
