I'm not a week late noooooo, neverrrr. Lol, anyways sorry if you were like waiting for an update. I took a week off to like do school stuff and whatever. I'm also completely out of stock on chapters so like, if you have ideas that you might want me to use I'm writing the next like 5 or 10 chapters now. Hopefully I'll get to update next week, Oct. 10th.

Kojiko Yuudai P.O.V.

My head hurts. Honestly at this point headaches have been happening way too often and I'm getting super sick of them. My mind races as my memories start replaying and I remember that I'm still kidnapped. I calm myself and try to refocus on escaping.

First, my current condition.

There's the headache for one but it isn't so bad that makes me think it's a concussion. I try moving around, my body feels heavy and tired. Moving my fingers makes them tingle with pins and needles and when I try to speak no sound comes out.

So immobilized then.

My eyes start to adjust to the lighting and my hearing perks up. The familiar voices of the villains are muffled through the wall. It looks like I'm in a storage room? It's definitely another abandoned building, though. The door opens and I am blinded by light. When I peek my eyes open I see the orange coat of one of the villains before my vision goes dark again.

Seriously, don't villains have something better to do than kidnap kids and knock them out?

Next I wake up without a headache. Once my eyes adjust to the darkness I can see that I'm in a different room. Also, by my feet is a bowl of some sort of mush. A door opens and light streams in, I squint at the figure.

"You're awake!"

I open my eyes and am greeted by a masked face. It's the dude with the tape measures for weapons. His eyes squint like he's grinning.

"Great, we were worried that you would never wake up," he says as he squats down.

I stare at him, not really knowing what to think. He pushes the bowl towards me and unties my hands. What? He seems to read me and squints a smile again.

"You're too weak right now to even fight," he tosses the rope away, "And we're not sure what to do with you so for now you'll live."

I stare down at the bowl. It's some sort of rice porridge with a red sauce on top. While I'm busy thinking about the villains reasoning for keeping me alive the guy leaves the room. I can hear the rest of the group talking in the other room.

I pick up the bowl of mush. Gross… I tentatively take a bite. It turns out the red stuff is hot sauce. While I eat I listen in on the villain's conversations. Their 'boss,' Shigaraki, apparently has been shut in his room for the past few days. The rest of the villains have been just roaming about and waiting for orders. I don't hear anything around a location or what they're doing with me.

They're kind enough to feed me at least.

I set down the bowl on top of a box and hoist myself up. My legs are a little weak and it makes me wonder how long I've been knocked out. The door opens as I start to try walking.

"Hey kid," it's a different voice, one that I haven't heard before, "We got a few questions for you so come on out."

There's not really much I can do other than listen to them. Besides, currently they're just a group of people hanging out in an abandoned warehouse. Other than them kidnapping me I really can't say they've done anything really, super terrible. The kidnapping and USJ. Right...so a little terrible.

I shake my head and focus.

So it doesn't seem like they're going to kill me. But it doesn't seem like they're going to just let me go. BUT if they don't hurt me then I don't really see the problem in sticking around… I hit myself on the head. What kind of thinking is that?! I've got friends who are worried about me! Eraser Head's probably having an aneurysm right now. Who cares if they're villains, I just need to get back...home.

I nearly die of embarrassment. This isn't the right time or place to be realizing that I now consider U.A. my home. FOCUS. I shake my hands nervously and step into the next room.

By the looks of it this place isn't their regular base and just a house that they're stopping at to rest. An old abandoned house with some furniture and a lot of cobwebs and dust. All the villains are here except for Shigaraki.

"Sorry, Shigaraki isn't here for this. He's…" Kurogiri glances up the stairs, "in mourning, I guess."

I give a slight nod to let them know I'm listening. The windows are boarded up but sunlight is leaking through. I can hear people and crowds but they're far away.

"I'll be honest and tell you we're not sure what to do with you," Kurogiri continues, "Shigaraki doesn't see you as an important piece but Sensei wanted to talk to you. Now that he's been arrested we have no use for you."

"He's so cute!" Toga swings her legs and taps a knife on the table with a smile, "So small. Hey, do you-"

"Leave him alone, Toga."

I reach up and feel my hair, the strands are stuck together with dried blood. I must have hit my head at some point.

"You don't talk much, kid," Spinner comments.

Kid? I'm not even that much younger than some of you!

I shake my head. I didn't notice but he's in the middle of a card game with the orange coat guy that keeps knocking me out. He clicks his tongue and goes back to his game.

"How come we can't just recruit him like we did with that Bakugou kid?"

Kurogiri sighs, "Again, Shigaraki didn't say he was an important piece."

Twice shrugs, "He seems pretty chill with us. He's shaking in his boots!"

"I still think we should mess him up a little more."

"He's just a kid, don't scare him."

I sweatdrop, these villains seem so much less villainous when they're not doing something illegal. Actually, they seem like huge dorks and really entertaining people to be around.

"Anyways," Kurogiri tries to have everyone focus, "Shigaraki is busy at the moment so we have to decide what to do with him."

"I mean we sorta have extra rations, why don't we just keep him?"

"We can't keep him!" exclaims Magne.

"Why not? I finally have the chance to have a friend younger than me!" Toga whines.

"I say we keep him."

"Dabi don't encourage her!"

"We have enough food for another person now that Muscular, Mustard, and Moonfish got arrested," Dabi shrugs, "I don't see why he can't stick around."

Actually, I can't. I kinda have people worrying about me.

Magne crosses her arms, "He probably has parents waiting for him! Can you imagine how worried they are?"

"That didn't seem like such a problem when we were kidnapping Bakugou," Mr. Compress notes, shuffling the deck.

"Well, we had a good reason for kidnapping him!" Magne protests, "There's no point in kidnapping someone if you're not getting something out of it."

Toga perks up, "I'm getting friendship out of it! So is the kidnapping valid now?"

"In no way is kidnapping valid!" Spinner exclaims, "When would kidnapping a child ever be valid?!"

"When you have already kidnapped the child and it's too fucking late to return said child!" Twice screeches.

I wince as the volume gradually increases. It surprises me how being kidnapped by villains and being in class are so similar. I mean in both groups there's loud people, people who want friends, and then the teacher. I guess in this case the teacher is the weird misty guy.

Kurogiri sighs again and just lets them continue on their debate. I get a little more comfortable on the floor as I wait for them to decide my fate. There's no possible way I can escape with them hovering around me. When the sun starts going down, Kurogiri manages to drag Shigaraki out of his room for food. I try glaring at him, still a little upset because of what happened at the mall. Toga approaches me with a gift? Well, it's a washcloth and food so maybe it's like some sort of peace offering?

"So how old are you?" She asks after sitting next to me on the floor.

You guys seriously called me kid this whole time without knowing how old I am? I force a smile and take the cloth and start scrubbing at the dried blood on my neck.

Twice throws a bag of chips at her and she catches it.

"We know how old he is, if he's a first year that means he's like 15 or 16."

Toga puffs her cheeks, "I was trying to make small talk!"

I glance at her. She seems like a normal teenager and even is wearing a school uniform. Of course the little bloodstains make her seem a little crazier than the average student.

Spinner nods his head, "Ask him about U.A. maybe we can get some useful information."

"Well he's not going to tell us if you say that," Mr. Compress mutters under his breath.

Toga hums, "Then what about your parents?"

"Didn't the press say that his dad was that villain hero dude?"

"What part of small talk do you guys not understand!"

Dabi smirks, "He doesn't look like the type of person to talk about himself."

"Speak for yourself," Shigaraki grumbles from his spot in the corner of the room.

"You wanna talk about my dad?" Dabi scoffs, "Where's your dad? Huh? Father," Dabi imitates Shigaraki's hand then turns to Toga, "Where's your dad? Toga, where's your dad? HM? We the League of No Dads."

"Someone's cranky about his snacks being eaten," Spinner teases.

"If you don't want them eaten then you should hide them," Toga smiles.

Dabi grumbles, "I did."

They're so….normal.

Toga turns her attention back to me, "So you're really comfortable around villains, huh?"

I shrug.

"You're not scared or anything?" Twice questions.

I think about it. I guess being surrounded by villains and being kidnapped is supposed to be scary. Maybe I've been desensitized to kidnappings and villains… I shrug again, still not exactly comfortable enough to form words. After all, they're still strangers that I don't trust.

"Wow, silent type much?" Spinner mutters and examines his cards.

Kurogiri sighs, "Enough of this. We need to decide what we're doing next."

Everyone's attention focuses on Shigaraki who's still curled up in the corner. Shigaraki doesn't make any moves to stand or speak.

"First off," Kurogiri speaks for him, "Kojiko."

I lift my head up. I just want to go home. Kidnappings and villains and whatever, I'm just tired at this point. And if you're not going to do something with me just let me go for fucks sake.

"Unfortunately we cannot let you leave."

I feel my heart sink.

Kurogiri continues, "You are important to Sensei and if you escape now our work will have been for nothing."

"Kurogiri," Shigaraki finally says something, "we can let him go."

Kurogiri seems to object to the idea but doesn't say anything in response. The rest of the villains listen on, doing their best to ignore the sudden tension.

Kurogiri speaks softly, as if Shigaraki is a child, "Sensei stated-"

"Sensei isn't here," Shigaraki says shortly, "I'm capable of my own decisions and I don't need an extra, unimportant piece here."

Kurogiri stays calm, "Fine. If that is your decision, then fine."

I blink, he can't be serious. Right? You're letting a hostage go?! That's so fucking dumb! I mean, yeah, I still want to be a hero and I'm not interested in being a "villain" but how shitty of a villain can this guy be?! I could be a better villain than this dude. Maybe not better combat wise, I glance at Shigaraki again, okay, maybe I am better but in terms of decisions that is one of the stupidest things for a villain to do!

I roll my eyes instead of voicing my thoughts out loud.

Magne raises her hand, "So if we're letting him go then is he just going to walk out the door or are we dropping him somewhere?"

"How about a ransom!" Twice exclaims, "Throw him out the window!"

"I was just getting to know him too," Toga taps her feet on the floor.

Spinner scoffs, "Kid's a stone wall, Toga, you really think you learned something you didn't know before?"

Kurogiri clears his throat, "Our current location is not our permanent one. We can decide what we'll do with him tomorrow."

Shigaraki shrugs and stands, trudging back upstairs. I try to not watch him as he walks past me. Toga nudges me, making me flinch a little at the sudden contact.

"Whoops, sorry!" Toga exclaims, "I didn't know you were that jumpy."

I give her a tiny smile.

She seems to take it as something more because she flashes me a huge grin before bouncing up and into a different room.

"So I guess I'm on watch tonight?" Twice points at himself.

Kurogiri nods, "Just make sure he doesn't leave."

Twice straightens his face and salutes, "I gotcha!"

He then sits on a box a little bit away from me and then literally just stares at me. It's a little unnerving. It kinda helps that he blinks every two minutes. Seriously, he sits there long enough for me to get bored and count. After about three hours of him staring at me the guy with the scars and metal on his face switches with him.

He's quiet at first then tries to make conversation.

"So, you seem calm about all this," he says while spinning a tiny blue flicker in his palm.

It's a soothing light, it hurts my eyes after staring at it for too long but it's nice.

I shrug.

He nods, "You used to this? The news said your dad was a villain."

I shrug again.

"Hey, if he's a bad person I can relate," he smiles softly, "I get it. Oh, I go by Dabi, by the way."

I raise an eyebrow at him.

He chuckles, "Yeah, I guess you don't really need to know my name."

"It's actually kinda stupid for you to hand out your name," I mutter quietly.

"What was that?" Dabi asks, I can tell he heard me the first time.

He snickers when I flip him off in response.

"Kojiko, right?" He scoots the box he's sitting on closer to me, "It's pretty boring to just sit around and do nothing."

I shrug.

He pulls another box between us, like a table, "I found these old cards," he sets a dusty deck of cards on the box-table.

I glance at the cards then back at him.

Dabi shuffles the cards a little clumsily, "I was thinking Blackjack but judging by your looks maybe we should play Go Fish."

Ha ha, very funny.

"So are you going to introduce yourself or am I just going to keep talking to myself?"

Seriously?

"I'm kidding," Dabi places two cards in front of me and two in front of himself. He glances up at me, "Do you know how to play Blackjack?"

I throw him a look, hopefully he catches on that I'm really trying to say 'I'm fifteen and been in a coma for two years, what do you think?' I don't think he'll get the full message though.

He flips one of his cards over and then both of mine over. Then he proceeds to explain, play, and win all of the card games we play for the next two hours. If it weren't for the fact he wanted to kill false heroes like Stain then he'd probably be a fun guy to hang around. At least for me, I think others would find him a bit too weird.

"So are you going to talk? Like at all?"

I shrug.

Dabi hums a bit then continues talking, "So is the reason you can't talk because of some trauma shit?"

I shake my head. I'm not exactly sure of why the talking thing happens but it's definitely not because of trauma. At least I don't think.

"Well, it's none of my business. Besides, we're probably not going to be here much longer."

He sees my confusion.

"I mean, this is a temporary base. After we decide what to do with you, we'll probably leave," Dabi explains.

Well that's useful information.

"You really give out a lot of information, don't you?"

I freeze as words just slip out of my mouth.

Dabi looks up at me, "Sure, insult any villains you come across, that'll go well."

"Being a blabbermouth isn't good for a villain," I comment softly.

"How kind of you," Dabi chuckles, "So now that you're talking to me, am I allowed a few questions?"

I shrug, it's not like you're forcing me to answer.

"Judging by the way you act around us, you don't actually think we're villains. Do you?"

Personal question right of the bat, way to go. I roll my eyes at my own internal dialogue. Dabi raises an eyebrow when I don't reply for a few minutes.

"You're not that bad," I mumble.

"Really?"

I avoid looking at his eyes and fiddle with my hands, "I mean, I've been kidnapped before and unlike other villains you guys actually gave me food. Also, we're playing a card game. Seriously."

Dabi snickers, "Good point. Don't go sympathizing with us though. You're a hero in training, aren't you? It'll be bad rep for the both of us for you to say we're not that bad."

"Yeah," I say quietly.

"You have the chance to escape now," Dabi comments.

I gaze at the door over Dabi's shoulder.

"You wouldn't let me just leave."

"That's true. But there's no reason you can't fight like your friend did."

I tilt my head, "Bakugou-kun?"

"Kid nearly blew my face off," Dabi scratches at the seam of his staples.

You mean what's left of it? I wince, that's mean of you to think.

Footsteps.

"You two are still awake?"

My eyes keep steady on the cards in front of me but I focus on the footsteps walking closer. I glance up, it's one that has glasses and red-ish hair.

"Deal me in," Magne pulls up a chair to the makeshift table.

Dabi smirks, "You sure? You'll never win."

Magne scoffs, "I've won before."

"Yeah, against Spinner," Dabi deals her hand anyways.

Magne meets my eyes, I'm not even aware I'm staring. She throws me a smile.

"Name's Magne," she grins, "You can call me Big Sis Magne if you want."

I nod.

Her smile drops a bit and she goes back to her cards. I fall asleep listening to them debate about who ate Dabi's chips.
