Chapter 1
Heba ran holding his mom's hand. He heard the footsteps of the people chasing them. He saw as his mom fell to the ground and saw the blood near her cat ears. He listened to his mom. "Heba , My son run and save your self " She said. He ran and kept running. He saw , he was near the sewers and crawled inside the pipe. He kept crawling and came to a small town of other Neko's who wanted freedom. He realized it was a trap as a man removed fake cat ears with his son.
Heba screamed and tried to crawl back into the pipe. He felt a rag over his mouth and passed out. He woke up next in a cage and was scared and felt the locket on his neck and. " thought mom , protect me " He noticed the kid from earlier leave food. He backed away and did not touch it. He knew something was wrong with it. He kept pushing the food away and heard the cage open.
He noticed the kid. " its been , seven days , neko the food is safe " He said eating some. Heba took the food and ate some. He noticed a smirk on the kid's face " I promise , i will break you my name is Adrian Gekko remember that " he said leaving. Heba gulped and felt his tail shiver and put the food down. " I have to become free " he thought. He noticed the cage was rusted and broke the bowl of food. He picked up a piece of the bowl and used it to break the cage.
He noticed his hand was bleeding and ripped the sleeve of his shirt to bandage it. He slowly snuck passed the sleeping dogs. He saw a fence and touched it and felt an electric shook and passed out. He woke back up and noticed , he was chained inside a new cage.
He felt the years go by , being trader to owners and brought back. He felt fear in everything as he was tossed in water by Adrian. He felt all the pain in his heart. He then noticed a human with a kind heart , purchased him. He started to cry as they stood in a park. " I am sorry , Heba what ever you had to go throu , my name is axel and i promise from now on your free to do what you wish because the moment I met you , I feel in love " Axel said. Heba started to cry at Axel words and could not speak as they headed to his new home.
Heba looked around his new home. He noticed Axel walked to the kitchen. " I will make you some dinner , anything you want " He said. Heba scratched his face as his cat ears moved smelling salmon in the fridge. " Salmon " He said. Axel nodded taking it out of the fridge and cut off the head with the knife. He noticed heba curled into a ball. He put the knife down. Axel walked closer and noticed Heba scratched him.
Axel took a breath and hugged Heba as he kept scratching him. Heba calmed down " sorry , i am sorry Axel " he said. Axel smiled " its fine , Heba i understand , go and rest in my room and I will finish preparing and cooking dinner. Heba nodded and stood up. Axel led , heba to his room. Heba opened the door and laid down on Axel's bed. Axel kept the door open " if you need , me just call Heba " He said. Heba meowed and felt the warmness in Axel's voice.
Axel walked back to the kitchen and finished preparing the salmon. He started to fry the fish. He noticed , heba sneaking out of his room at the smell. He chuckled and smiled. " it will be ready in a minute , heba take a seat at the dinning room table " He said. Heba took a seat at the dinning room table. He smiled as Axel placed the plates of salmon down. Axel took a seat and smiled at Heba eating. Heba noticed Axel wasn't eating. Axel noticed , Heba pointing to his food. Axel started to eat and smiled at the joy on Heba's face.
Axel noticed Heba fall over in pain. He picked up , Heba and rushed him to the hospital. He walked around the room , waiting for news on Heba. He then saw the doctor and nurses. " Are you , heba owner " the doctor asked. Axel nodded " i just bought him from a trader " He said. Axel clenched his fist at hearing , Heba lost his litter and what the trader did to him. " you can see , Heba now " the doctor said. Axel walked in and saw , heba crying and hugged him. " I am sorry for your loss , and if i see Adrian again " He said as Heba hugged him with a pleading look. Axel smiled " lets , leave the city and head to my parents cabin " He said. Heba smiled " all right , Axel " He said.
A few days past as Axel wheeled Heba's wheelchair to his car. Heba noticed the car was packed. Heba smiled and noticed all the clothes , axel bought for him and toys. Heba jumped out of the wheelchair and hugged Axel. Axel smiled and opened the car door for heba. Heba took a seat as Axel got in the driver's seat and started the car. Heba fell asleep as they started driving towards the mountains and woods.
