Annabeth was halfway through her Econ class when she realized she hadn't gotten a number from Percy, or any way to contact him, and she sighed. He'd come back to her, he had to, right? She was drawn from her thoughts with a tap on the shoulder, and she looked to see Jack Flaherty, a kid from a wealthy family who also went to Columbia. Jack was chewing gum annoyingly, and smirked at Annabeth.

"So I was thinking… Annabeth, do you want to grab dinner sometime?" He asked. They were partners on this econ project that was due in a week, and Annabeth had done a majority of the work. She smiled back at Jack.

"I'm sorry, but I can't I have plans." Jack rolled his eyes.

"But come on… we've got to talk this project stuff over, remember?" He said, thinking of a reason to keep this conversation up. Annabeth rolled her eyes.

"I said no." She said, and the class was ending. She grabbed her bag and started to walk out, and Jack followed.

"Why not? Do you have a boyfriend?" Her breath hitched. What were her and Percy? It was just one night but…

"No. I don't, and I'm not looking for one." She said, leaving the building, but Jack still followed. She walked forward in the mid-day spring weather, semi-ignoring Jack, until she saw a man in a T-Shirt and sweatpants sitting on a bench, staring at her. A familiar set of sea green eyes met with gray, and suddenly, she swiveled her path and walked straight towards him.

"You know… I could pay for your tuition."

"I'm a person, not a prostitute." Annabeth snapped back.

"Woah… woah… this guy bothering you?" Percy said, standing up. Jack was just five-foot-nine, about the same height as Annabeth, and Percy, at around six-foot-four, towered over him.

"No, he's just a classmate asking for help." She responded with a smile, and Percy chuckled, looking Jack up and down.

"Oh shit… you're, Hermes's kid, right?" Percy said, and Jack frowned.

"How'd you know?"

"Seen you at the Olympian ball. Didn't you spill wine all over yourself?" Percy said, smirking, and Jack growled.

"You fucking piece of-" he started, before Percy rolled his eyes.

"Don't try it kid." Percy said, wrapping his arm around Annabeth's shoulders. Jack huffed, and walked away. Annabeth giggled, turning to hug Percy.

"How'd you know I was going to be here?" she said into his chest.

"Texted Thalia." He said, and started walking to the parking lot. She followed, eagerly.

"Hey, you trying to get dinner tonight?" He said, looking down at her.

"Is it going to get interrupted by you being attacked again?"

"No promises." His phone rang, and he brought it out of his pocket. She saw it slightly, but the name was clear. Poseidon.

"Percy." he said. She couldn't hear the other side of the phone, but she could tell it bothered him.

"Rome?" he asked. He laughed.

"Thanks for the tip, unc." and hung up.

"How do you feel about taking four days and going to Rome?" Annabeth's jaw dropped.

X

"Percy's taking you WHERE?" Thalia yelled, eyebrows raised.

"Rome. Four days, I don't know why, or what, but he offered, and I think I might go."

"So this guy you met a few weeks ago, you don't know enough about, you're willing to go to Rome with them for a week." Thalia asked.

"You don't understand- there's something different about him, something more normal, something that is so attractive and irresistible, it's insane." Annabeth complained, and Thalia gasped.

"You're in love with the fucker, aren't you?" She said, and Annabeth blushed.

"I am not. I merely have a crush."

"A crush does not result in anticipating and wanting to spend the night with someone at the first opportunity. You did like, the legit version of a one night stand! You guys didn't- oh my gods!" Thalia screamed.
"No! God, no, Jesus no, we didn't have sex. Things got heated, but then we got interrupted, Nothing more, nothing less."

"By who?"

"He just had some- business to take care of." Annabeth said, blushing. Thalia laughed her ass off.

The flight wasn't too bad. It was long, but there wasn't a disturbing child or aggravating adult, and Annabeth felt more comfortable with Percy around. She was fairly certain he had gotten a gun past security, but she didn't want to reach on something like that. He was asleep, drooling slightly, and Annabeth's head was resting on his chest. He had his arm wrapped around her, just like in the cab.

X

Annabeth was not used to Percy's lifestyle, to be frank. He rented a Ferarri F12 on arrival, and drove them to the hotel. Everything he did felt perfect.

Until they reached the hotel.

He walked to the check-in desk, where a woman smiled at him, and he nodded.

"Perseus Jackson." The woman's smile dropped, and she looked down at her computer.

"The Honeymoon Suite is ready for you, sir. And Sir Hades has his six o'clock open for you." Percy nodded.

"Schedule it."

Annabeth was so surprised at the 'honeymoon suite' part that she didn't hear that Percy had a meeting with Hades, one of the Three, the wealthiest brothers in the world. They walked to the elevator.

"The Honeymoon suite?" She whispered, slightly angry. He looked down, frowning.

"Do you have an issue? We can change it." The elevator arrived, and they walked in.

"No- it's just that we aren't 'official' yet, if you would call it." She said, blushing.

"What are you on about?" He asked, laughing.

"That Jack guy asked me if I had a boyfriend, and I don't know what to call you. My boyfriend? The guy who feels like my soulmate but is an infamous hitman?" Percy laughed harder.

"I feel like your soulmate?" He asked, a smile plastered on his face, almost with pride.

"Yeah you just have this stupid little feeling about you that feels so right, so easy, everything you do is-" He stopped her rambling by kissing her, and she melted immediately. The elevator door opened, and they split, but walked to the room with his arm around her. He unlocked it, they walked in, and they immediately dropped their bags, and Percy lifted Annabeth up, her legs wrapping around his waist. He closed the door, and navigated his way to the bedroom, lifting off his shirt.

"I'd be glad to be your boyfriend, Annie." He said against her lips. She punched his chest.

"Don't call me that." she basically moaned. He chuckled.

"How about Wise Girl? Columbia Girl?"

"Less talk…" she drawled off, fumbling with her shirt. He laughed.

"Yes ma'am."

X

"You guys didn't have sex the first day did you?" Thalia questioned over the phone, and Annabeth laughed.

"No, he's just really sweet with taking time. He knows my boundaries and his own, and it's just nothing but pleasure being with him." She said, and she put on her dress, which hugged her figure really well, and was pretty tight. "Fuck." she growled.

"What's wrong?"

"We've got this double-date with Hades tonight, and Percy says we have to dress really nice. He's got like twelve suits tailored to his exact centimeter but I've just got some shitty-"

"Wait, Hades? As in my father's brother Hades." Thalia said.

"Yeah. That guy."

"What does he want with Percy?"

"No idea, but Hades is the reason we're here, therefore I'm following the plan. Is he as bad as people say he is?" Annabeth asked, strapping on her high-heels. "Dinners like these have no room for my college ass." Annabeth laughed.

"No, he's not. He's closer to a darker version of me than my father. Really nice if you're close to him, and I think he and Percy are friends, so you should be okay."

"Thalia?"

"Yes, Annie." Annabeth scowled.

"Do you think I should… you know?"

"Have sex with Percy?" Thalia said rather bluntly.

"It's awkwardly easy for you to say it, but yes." Annabeth was blushing.

"If you think he's worth it and you're really into him like that, then go for it. I'd still take time, though. He doesn't seem like the type of guy who needs sex, so you might be able to draw it out a bit more." Thalia said. Annabeth frowned.

"Maybe. I still don't really know what we are."

"Seems to me like you're in love with him, and he loves you."

"You think?" Annabeth asked, looking at the bathroom door where Percy was.

"Have you heard yourself talk about him? You use big words to describe how immaculate and how confident and safe he makes you feel." Thalia said, teasing Annabeth, who rolled her eyes.

"I hate you."
"Have fun at your dinner!" Thalia said, and Annabeth hung up. Percy walked out of the bathroom with his pants and belt on, and his shirt unbuttoned.

"You look amazing." He said, walking up to her. She stood, looking into his eyes. He started buttoning up and tucking in his shirt.

"You look handsome as well." She replied, and he smiled at her.
"Hey, tomorrow, I'm going to be out on work, are you going to be okay?" He asked. She laughed at him.

"I'll be fine, you dork. You make sure you come back to me alive." she said, and he wrapped his arms around his waist.

"I think you'll kill me before any of these cronies do." He said, and she smiled into the kiss.

The Ambrosia Restaurant was the location, and as Percy sat across Hades, he already knew the man was disturbed. Usually, he had a calmness, but here, his leg was shaking, and he was occasionally looking around nervously. His wife, Persephone looked as elegant as ever, but Percy's thoughts rarely left Annabeth. How she looked in that dress, she was perfect. Percy had never once thought about a girl seriously until now, and he hoped that they'd take it further in the next two days.

"Perseus. A word, please." Hades said, and Percy nodded, following him out of the restaurant and onto the sidewalk.

"How's life?"

"Doing good. Annabeth has been a blessing. Keeping me grounded."

"I'm so sorry, Percy, but I must ask; are you working again?" Percy froze. His blood cold. He looked down.

"Yeah. What do you need?"

X

The dinner wasn't eventful. It was really nice, and everything went good, but there was no major event outside of his and Hades' 'chat.' As they drove back to the hotel, Annabeth grabbed his hand.

"Percy." He nodded in response, keeping his eyes on the road.

"Which answer do you want to hear? They're both true."

"What are my options?" Percy smirked.

"The one that you want to hear, and you know is true, and the one that you don't want to hear, and want to believe is false."

"Let's go with the one I want to hear."

"Because I think I'm in love with you." He said, dead serious, and her smirk dropped instantly. He looked over slightly, because her face was just completely shocked. "Does that bother you?"

Her shock turned into a smile, and she laughed.

"I think I might be in love with you too, Perseus Jackson." That felt good to hear. His smile beamed, more than it ever had before, and he stepped on the gas, wanting to get back.

X

They were on one another barely after they got out the elevator. As he led her into their suite, his shirt and jacket were off almost instantaneously. He had her dress off her just as quick, and they walked into the bedroom, where Percy laid down, dragging Annabeth on top of him. She continued kissing him, and tugged at his belt.

"Are you sure?" He said, going from kissing her lips to her neck. She moaned.

"Yes. Fucking yes." Percy smirked, and his belt was off. He pulled away, his hands going lower and lower, looking into her eyes for approval or acceptance, something that let him know he was doing this correctly, and his fingers found what they were looking for.

"Are you sure about this, Annabeth?" He whispered, and she looked him in the eyes.

"I've never felt so sure about something in my life, Perseus."

X

His back fucking hurt. He felt the claw marks, knowing they were there before he saw them. She was still asleep, and they were both… completely naked. Everything from last night came back immediately, and he smiled.

He'd thought about it for a while, if he wanted to pursue something serious, something real, and he'd felt it was the time. He'd never felt something like this before, something as strong as this. She stirred under him, feeling his wake, and opened her eyes, smiling up at Percy.

"Good morning, mi amor." he whispered.

"When did you learn Spanish?" she giggled, and pulled him down to her, flipping them so she was on top. He groaned in the heat.

"I've got to get outta here, 'Beth." he growled, bringing her down into a kiss.

"Unfortunately." she whispered with a giggle. His phone rang, and he reached over lazily to see it was from an unknown number. Annabeth got off him, and grabbed a t-shirt from his suitcase, throwing it on.

Percy picked up the phone.

"Perseus." the person said.

"Who's this?"

"Nico Di Angelo. Meet me outside the pantheon in thirty." Percy sighed.

"Thirty-five. I just woke up." Nico hung up.

"Work?" Annabeth asked. "Work." he responded, throwing on underpants and a shirt, walking to start the shower. Annabeth caught his wrist, and he turned to her.

"I love you." She said, and his breath caught itself, and he looked her up and down.

"I love you too, Annabeth." as he brought her into a kiss.

"Come back to me in one piece. You're too good at the whole sex thing for us to only try it once." Annabeth said, and Percy laughed.

X

"What's your father want?" Percy said as he walked up to Nico, who raised an eyebrow at the hitman's entrance.

"He'll tell you himself. I'm just here to escort you and make sure nothing goes bad. No offense, I know you're more qualified than me to protect yourself." Nico said, walking. Percy shrugged, he was reasonable.

"Why are you back in business?" Nico asked.

"Some dumb child stole my car. Big possession of mine." Nico was one of Percy's only real friends, they went to school together, worked under Chiron at the Academy, and Nico knew that story. He cringed.

"Is he dead already?"

"I'm dating his sister, so no." Percy said, and Nico was hollering laughing.

"You? Dating? God forbid I ever hear those two words tog-" He saw Percy's face. "Oh you're dead serious aren't you?" Percy nodded. "I'll pray for that child if you two ever break up. Is it that girl that you were at dinner with last night?" Percy didn't even ask why he knew.

"Yeah. She's amazing, and I think I'll permanently retire if it means I get to be with her. I've made my money." Percy said. Nico nodded.

"Understandable. I think I've met her before. Annabeth? She's Thalia's roommate." Nico said. "Cool girl. Said she wants to own an architecture firm one day, and with the bank you made off the Poseidon job, you can do more than help her." Percy laughed.

"I think she's more than good on that stuff, Nico." Nico stopped walking at the front door of a semi-run down townhome. This stuff was never good. Percy brought out his Glock, and took the lead.

"Is your father here?" he asked Nico, who nodded. Percy holstered his weapon. Percy entered, and Nico was right. Around a dining room table was Poseidon Green, Hades Under, and a brunette who looked awfully similar to Annabeth.

"Perseus! So glad you can join us!" Poseidon said, getting up. Percy remained suspicious.

"What's this?" he asked, and Poseidon nodded.

"You were never one for formalities. This is Athena Wisdom, and she's going to be planning this job. You're the centerpiece, Percy."
"What job?" He asked, not sitting. His hands remained ready.

"Swear an oath on the Black Coin that you'll never repeat what's said in these chambers." Percy reluctantly agreed, placing a drachma on the table, sliding it to Poseidon.

"Done."

"Zeus has been stealing money from us for decades now, but it's grown too much. Nearly fifteen billion in profits from me he's stolen, and double that from Hades. We want it back, we want justice." Poseidon started, looking at Percy, who remained calm.

"Elaborate." Percy stated firmly. Hades coughed.

"There's more to this. We believe Zeus to be the centerpiece of a human trafficking ring, and we want him… uh," Hades drawled off.

"Dead?" Percy said bluntly.

"Dead." Athena confirmed.

"Who are you?" he asked.

"I am a forbidden daughter of Zeus. I've been shunned from my family, but I think with my planning and my smarts, we can defeat my father." she said, and Percy nodded.

"What do I get from it?"

"Approximately fifty-two billion dollars, and your car somewhere along the way."

X

Percy had been tipped off from more than two people that his car was in this car show somewhere, and he intended on finding it. He walked around the parking lot, and he didn't see it. There was old American muscle but nothing that matches his knowledge or plates. He presumed that Zeus had already flipped plates and paperwork, but Percy would know his car from a mile away. He also happened to notice the four or five men in black suits staring at him. He smiled at the rich old man who was talking to him about his attire, and walked from the parking lot to the closed restaurant, where he checked his magazine. Full, one in the chamber. He looked at a wall while he heard the guys scuffle into the kitchen.

"Who sent you after me?"

"None of your business." A gravely voice answered.

"Do you work with the five dudes I killed in New York like, four days ago?" he asked, and heard one of them growl. Checkmark.

"Tell Kreuger I send my condolences." Percy said, turning, shooting two in the head immediately, and ducking behind the island, peeking around, shooting someone in the foot, and grabbing a knife. He heard someone rushing him, and he stabbed the man in the chest, and used him as a meat shield while the other two knuckleheads shot their friend's dead body, until they were out of ammo. Percy dropped the body and raised his gun.

"Drop your guns." They didn't. "Now." he demanded, and they dropped them.

"Kreuger sent you?" They nodded. "Does he know who I'm with?" They shook their heads. Percy groaned.

"Fucking idiots." Percy put his gun down. "Have either of you seen a 60's Mustang with black rims?" Percy asked, hoping for something, they both shook their heads.

"Escape with your damn lives." They both hobbled out of the place. Percy looked around at the bodies, and rolled his eyes. "Fucking- bloody, dead idiots." He kicked one of the bodies on his way out.

X

Fifty-two billion dollars. That was on the table. That's basically eternal wealth. No, it IS eternal wealth. Annabeth wouldn't have to work a day in her life. He could provide for her, everything she ever wanted. He already had money, but this was them and their children. He blushed and shunned himself for thinking that.

"Why's that on my plate?"

"We decided that in return for you helping us, you'd inherit a complete liquidated amount of Zeus's wealth. Assuming it all goes right, of course."

"If you're paying me fifty-two billion, it'll go correctly." Poseidon smiled.
"How does this plan work?"

"We attack on the night of the Olympian ball, exposing him for his secrets and sins." Athena said, and Percy nodded. She explained some more, but minor details weren't his problem. He was nodding at everything at this point.

"I'm in."

X

"Tell me about your mom." Percy said, sitting at the dinner table, biting into his steak. Annabeth gulped down a ravioli, starting.

"Well, my REAL mom hasn't been in the picture… ever, but I always thought she was looking over me. My step-mom is okay, nothing to brag about. She's just really helped with keeping my dad sane." Percy laughed.

"And your dad?"

"He's great. One of the best dads I could've ever asked for. You'd like him, you share similar traits of ambition, your commitment." Annabeth said, slicing into another ravioli.

"And Columbia?" Percy asked, smiling. Annabeth smiled too, "Yeah, I'm studying Architecture in the GSAPP. I want to run my own firm one day." She said, and Percy chuckled.

"What?" She frowned.

"I just like hearing you talk about your ambitions. Makes me happy." he said, and she blushed.

"What about your parents, Mr. Assassin?" she said, and Percy laughed, rolling his eyes.

"My dad, uhm, wasn't around. He left early, around when I was two. I looked to Poseidon as a father figure, the way to brought me up, in the Academy. He was the closest thing I had to a father, and he treated me like a son." He finished, taking a sip of his drink.

"And mother?"

"Died in childbirth." he said, morbidly.

"Oh my, Percy… I'm so sorry for-"

"No, don't be. I asked first." He said, smiling.

"Percy?" she started. He looked up, raising an eyebrow.

"How will we work… when we go back? You're, no offense, living a double-life almost, and I'm a college student." She looked into his eyes, almost scared, and Percy reached over and grabbed her hand.

"It doesn't matter what comes between us, we'll deal with it." He sighed, looking down. "If I'm being honest with myself, I want to get out of this game, this joke of a lifestyle, permanently. Especially if it means I get to spend my dying days with you." he said, and she blushed.

"What's stopping you? From leaving." She asked. Percy looked away for a moment.

"This car situation, has escalated to more than just my car. Word spread of my… involvement in some activity in New York, some you were present for, and people believe I'm completely back, which is semi-true." Percy took a breath, "Poseidon and Hades came to me with an offer, and Annabeth, before I say this, I love you with my entire being, and no matter what, I'll always be there for you." She gulped visibly.

"They want to overthrow Zeus for his crimes against them and the world." he said quietly, and she gasped.

"Why would they want to do that? What has he done?" she asked.

"He's stolen… billions from the two brothers. I don't know the exact details yet, I will soon. They presume he's apart of a human-" Percy's voice caught itself. "trafficking ring, of the sorts. They want him dead, and they believe I'm the only person who can reasonably pull this off." Annabeth's eyes closed, and a tear dropped.

"I don't want you to get hurt, Percy." Percy smiled.

"I've taken enough shots, Annie." Annie smiled slightly.

"There's more, Annabeth." her face rose, meeting his. "They said that if we complete the job to their accordance, they'd allow me to inherit the entirety of Zeus's liquidated wealth. Around fifty billion dollars." he finished, and Annabeth's face remained the same. He looked for anything, any emotion, response. "Annabeth?"

"Percy, I- don't know what to say to that." She started, looking away.

"I don't want to lose you on this. This can provide eternal wealth, for us, our kids-" he caught himself again.

"Our kids?" Annabeth said, with an eyebrow raised.

"Uh-I, meant, uhm, shit…" he trailed off, rubbing the back of his neck, and Annabeth giggled, getting out of her chair and walking over. Percy scooted out, and she sat on top of him.

"I'd love to cross that bridge when we get there, Percy."
