"Give me more details. More information. Sell me more on it." Percy started.

"It'll take approximately three days to set up, and you'll be majority alone. It'll be your job to work through the mansion and to Zeus himself, where we think you'll kill him."

"Backup?"

"Too risky." Athena started.

"I disagree. Give me two friends and I'll do it." Percy stated firmly. Athena looked to Poseidon, who shrugged.

"He's the best at his job. Let him do what he wants."

"I need a guarantee from you, Poseidon." Percy said.

"I'm listening."

"Once this is over, it's done. I'm out, nothing more connecting to the Olympians. I'm done with your family. I'll continue work in the underground, where I belong, but I'm done fucking with your shitty family." Percy growled.

"Done."

"And don't come fucking searching for me like you did last time. If I catch you searching for me or trying to get me involved I'll take your head and place it next to your brothers."

They were back from Rome, sitting in the living room of the penthouse where they first spent that night together. The fire was burning under the mantle, and wine was poured.

"Have you even experienced the 'college' lifestyle?" Annabeth laughed. Percy smirked.

"Never had time. What's it like? The frat-bros and the stuck up snobby girls?" Annabeth feigned hurt.

"Ah yes, Annabeth Chase, a spoiled rich brat who I can't get enough of." Percy said sarcastically, and Annabeth giggled, pulling him closer.

"Come here…" she led off, kissing him. He flipped them, so she was on top of him, and he deepened the kiss, going from her mouth to her jaw, and biting her neck. Annabeth let out a very uncharacteristic moan.

"You should definitely try it some time, hang out with me and my-" she moaned again, "friends." she said through broken breaths.

"Why is that?" he said hotly against her skin.

"I think you'd like it." He pulled away, looked her in the eye, "you're so used to living this lavish lifestyle that I think you're overdue for a change of pace." she said, and Percy frowned.

"Maybe. I think I'm enjoying spending unlimited time in my fifty-million dollar penthouse and having an aggravating amount of sex with my supermodel girlfriend." he said, and Annabeth giggled, going to kiss him, before his phone rang. Percy cursed under his breath, and picked his phone up, seeing it was from Nico. Annabeth got off him, and picked up her glass.

"I found your car, cuz." He said, and Percy's senses went into ten.

"Where, when."

"Tomorrow, there's an alleyway in the lower east side where one of Zeus's lackeys are going to sell it. I'll send you the address." Percy fist pumped in the air, and let out a 'fuck yeah.'
"Thank you, Nico. I owe you one."
"After what you're doing for my father? I owe you way more, Percy." and hung up. He turned to Annabeth, who looked at him with an eyebrow.

"Whatever that was better have been worth it for killing our mood." She said, and Percy laughed.

"It was so fucking worth it." He said, and he sat back down, and pulled her on top of him.

"I'm so in love with you. So fucking in love." He whispered into her ear, and she shivered.

"I could hear that more often." she laughed, and pulled his shirt off.

"Do you have classes tomorrow?"

"It's a Saturday, and Thanksgiving break, dumbass."

"I don't feel like getting out of bed until Tuesday, at minimum." he said, kissing her neck. Ever since they did it for the first time in Rome, they were at it like rabid animals, and could not keep their hands off one another. Percy smirked against her skin, and undid the buttons on her crop top. She had no bra on. He could get more than used to this sight.

Percy took the subway to the lower east side, and walked around the place where Nico thought the car would be. This place was incredibly run down, and Percy would by lying if he said he blended in wearing his suit. There wasn't anything strange, and he passed the alleyway and there wasn't anything in it, and that's when he got pulled into the alleyway by an unseen person. Percy's hand immediately went to his gun, and he flipped the person over into the concrete, and unfortunately, into a puddle.

"Fucking hell, Percy. You have sex once and forget how to act?" Nico said. Percy laughed.

"What's up, Nico?"

"Come into this library, it's got good views into the alleyway."

There was amazing views into the alleyway, but there was a better collection of Architecture books, and Percy was just too in love with Annabeth to not look at the books. He bought 'A Pattern Language,' by multiple authors for her, and planned to wrap it as a gift for Thanksgiving. He walked back to where Nico was sipping coffee, looking into the alleyway

"Anything?" Percy asked. Nico shook his head.

"Nothing." Percy sighed, and sat, setting the book down. Nico eyed it, almost laughing. Percy raised an eyebrow, "What?"

Nico rolled his eyes, "You're whipped, dude."

"What's that mean?" Percy asked, confused. Nico's eyes flicked to they alley.

"Dude- there." Nico pointed, and pulling into the alley, was an awfully familiar matte black 60's Mustang. Percy looked at it, and there were two guys in the car itself, with three others walking through the other side.

"Let's go." Percy said, standing. Nico frowned.

"Your book, we can take more time man-" Percy waved him off.

"Now or never."

X

Percy didn't have patience. He walked straight through the alley as the five were talking. He took out his pistol, hiding it behind his back. He reached his car, and ran his hand over the body of the car, and one of the guys noticed him.

Thalducking behind dumpsters and wood pallets. One's head was peeking out, and Percy shot that one dead as well. He ducked behind the car, and heard three other quiet gunshots, and he peeked over the car, and the other three were dead, with Nico standing on the other side of the alleyway, reloading.

"Fucking leave me behind again, and the fourth will be in your head." Percy laughed, going to the driver side door, and opening it. The keys were in the ignition.

"Feels good?" Nico asked. Percy nodded. He opened the glovebox, and inside was a letter, sealed by wax, and above it, read,

'When you're at your highest, read me, Perseus.

-Your Father.'

He put it back in the glove, and tossed the Architecture book he snuck out to the back, and Nico got in.

"Where to, cuz?" Percy asked, smirking. Nico laughed.

"Thalia wants to see me. Take me to her apartment."

Percy opened his phone and called Annabeth.

"What's up?" she asked. He smiled at the sound of her voice.

"You need a ride back to your apartment? If my calculations are correct, you're still on Central Park West." He asked, and he could hear her giggle through the phone.

"I'll tag along if you're going. I have some things to pick up, but I think I want to stay a few more nights with you." She said rather suggestively, and he shook his head.

"I'll see you soon."

X

Thalia was not expecting who was at her door. She knew Nico was coming, but when she saw Annabeth and Percy, she was caught off guard. Percy could tell immediately. The very college-student like apartment was very homey and comfortable, and warm.

"Hey… people." Thalia said, confused. Nico and Annabeth walked in, and Thalia eyed Percy suspiciously as he entered. He took notice, obviously, but entered calmly as well.

"Are you uh, working? Percy?" Thalia asked, and Percy raised an eyebrow. He was still wearing his suit.

"Yeah… something like that. Got my car back today, so I should be in order." He smiled. Thalia was annoyed, because Annabeth was right. He just felt trustworthy, like he couldn't hurt you in any way.

"What are you doing for Thanksgiving, Thalia?" Annabeth asked, walking into the kitchen.

"I was thinking of staying here with Luke and we'd cook, and I was going to invite you, but if you and Percy have plans…"

"No! That sounds amazing, I'll help make stuff." Annabeth said, smiling. Luke emerged from the bedroom down the hallway and immediately took notice to the two guys in his living room. He recognized Nico as a friend, but Percy was still awkwardly intimidating and strange, that Luke took a big glance at him, before turning to Thalia and giving her a kiss on the head.

"I, uh, think me and Percy should be going. You wanted to go out for dinner, right?" Annabeth asked, walking back from the kitchen. Percy sheepishly nodded, smiling.

"Yeah. Sorry about that, guys." Thalia laughed.

"Don't worry, have fun you two." Thalia and Luke sat on the couch.

"Oh! Let me grab some stuff…" Annabeth said, running up to her room. Percy followed. Her room was tiny compared to what they'd been sleeping in, but it felt like Percy's boarding room back at the Academy. He like it. He sat on the bed, while Annabeth packed a bunch of computer and book things into a backpack. She looked up to him sitting on the bed, looking around, and walked up to him, sitting on his lap.

"He-llo." he said, looking up at her, wrapping his arms around her waist. She smiled, kissing him.

"What do you wanna do for dinner?" he asked, and she thought about it.

"There's some places by my college that we can go to. I need to run by the library, if that's okay with you." he nodded.
"Sounds good."

X

They decided on Max Soha, an Italian place about ten minutes from the campus, but really close to Annabeth's apartment. They walked in, and Percy realized how off they looked. He was wearing a full suit, and she was in jeans and one of his t-shirts. They sat, and he just didn't stop looking at her. She blushed, noticing him, and that smirk plastered his face. He leaned forward, looking into her eyes.

"Love you." He whispered, and she giggled.

"I love you too."

X

Percy's spare change of clothes remained underneath the passenger seat, and he changed in the car, making Annabeth go outside, must to her dismay. They entered the library, and received stares from some of the students. Sitting, Percy frowned at Annabeth.

"Why are we getting looked at?" Percy whispered. Annabeth almost giggled.

"Not normal for someone as good looking as you to come here." She said back quietly. He rolled his eyes.

"They must've been looking at you then."

Percy saw Annabeth look up, and her face turned from happy to dread. Percy turned, and behind him was someone he didn't recognize and that little twerp who tried hitting on Annabeth. Percy scoffed, nodding his head in recognition.

"'Sup?" Percy asked, carelessly looking into the kid's eyes. He was fuming. Percy turned to Annabeth, giving her a look that was a clear 'get outta here.' She walked away, finding new interest in some Chemistry books. Percy stretched his back in his chair as the two guys were on both sides of him, staring him down. He didn't care.

"What's your name again? Janet?" Percy said, and the short guy growled. "Oh! Jack! I forgot, my bad man." He held out his hand for a handshake.

"Back off Annabeth, you freak." Jack said, taking his hand. Percy stood quickly, and flipped Jack onto the table, who landed awkwardly loud. Percy might've broken Jack's arm in the process, as well. The other guy seemed shocked, and swung at Percy, who ducked underneath it, and Percy tackled him to the ground. Percy gave it one swing, landing directly, breaking the guy's nose. Percy got off him immediately, giving a sigh of disgust. He rubbed his knuckles off on Jack's white t-shirt.

"Fuckin weirdos." Percy said, and he noticed Annabeth raising an eyebrow at him, walking out. He ran to catch up to her, and they exited together.

"Did you get your books?" he said, as he opened the door for her. She grunted back, and he rolled his eyes, walking over to the driver side and getting in.

"Annabeth, why are you mad at me right now?" he asked, starting the car.

"You can't just beat the crap out of everyone you meet, Percy." She said sadly. He grabbed her hand, and looked into her eyes.

"It's just how I came up. I don't know better." he said, and she groaned.

"Why can't you just try to be normal?" she complained. He rolled his eyes again.

"What's normal? I've never had or been given an opportunity to be normal, Annabeth." he said.

"Then why don't you try? Try to make those opportunities, make new friends." She said, and he turned forward, his hand on the wheel.

"I mean maybe, but how do I do that?" Annabeth smirked. "I am not going to a fucking party." he growled, and she laughed.

"Why not? You can make friends… have some drinks… it'll be so much fun!" Annabeth said, smirking, and Percy sighed.

"And party overlord Annabeth will lead me through this?" he asked, and she scoffed.

"I will not. Parties are not my thing, never will be. I'll accompany you, but you're on your own." Annabeth laughed. Percy sighed.

"I hate you."
"You love me."

X

"I want you to meet my dad."

"I know your dad."

"On a boyfriend level, not a, 'oh, this guy kills a bunch of people and is a hired hitman,' level." Percy smirked, and Annabeth rolled her eyes on top of him.

"What's making you think this?" Percy asked, and she laid down on him, her head on his collarbone, and ran her fingers down her bare chest.

"I just thought of us being a bit more normal, and I think the first step to that is you meeting my father. For real." They lay on his bed, both naked, and Percy could look out a window into the stars. It made him think of a life away from everything, his life, colleges, their friends.

"I want to live a normal life with you, Percy. No death, no blood, working regular jobs. I want to finish my degree, own my own firm… it's all in front of us, Percy." she said, still stroking his chest.

"I'm not one for normal, Annabeth." Percy said, looking down at her. She looked up at him, smiling.

"I know far too well, Perseus." she laughed. He adjust so he could sit up, and looked at her seriously.

"I want you to read something with me." He said, getting up and putting sweats on. He walked to the living room, where the letter from his father sat. He brought it back into the bedroom. Annabeth had thrown on an oversized t-shirt, looking as beautiful as ever.

"What is it?"

"The last gift, the last letter I'd received from my father. He writes that I should open it when I am at my happiest. And I believe I am at my happiest here, with you." he said, sitting down, cross-legged across the bed from Annabeth. She sat up as well. He placed the letter between them, and she picked it up.

"What was your fathers name?"

"Kali Jackson." Percy breathed. It was painful. Annabeth saw it, and leaned over, kissing him.

"I'm here for you." she handed him the letter, and he slipped his finger under the wax, and opened it. Inside was forty dollars and two pages of words, and a map. He put the money and the map aside, looking to the paper.

Perseus.

If you're reading this, I assume you're alive, and have passed the Academy.

You are my greatest creation, and you could never fail me. You must never forget, everything I had done, everything I will do, is all to protect you. If I was to stay with you, it'd only put you in more danger. They were coming for you, no matter what. Those wretched fools and their power. I had no doubt you're to be the one to overthrow them, and I know that in time, we are going to be reunited. You can hate me for leaving, but I only wanted what was best for you, in my eyes. I love you, as much as I loved your mother, Perseus, and I have no doubt in my mind, that you're going to be great in whatever you do.

You must understand, the Jackson name and family goes back so much further than just me, or your grandfather. Our family name has been the line of the greatest assassins, hit men, and guns in the world. Nobody was better in this game than us, which is why I had to leave you. It is family tradition for the son to grow up alone. I did it, as you will. You may not choose to continue this with your child, and I believe the tradition to end with you, or you may, and you may defy my foresight. Do not let me impact your decision.

There is more baggage with the Jackson name. We have a history-long story with the Olympian family, the wealthy three, their father, Kronos, and those before him. Long ago, it is said that someone in the Jackson line tried a hit attempt on one of the members of the Olympian family. He was killed in the process, and his son had to grow up alone, which created the tradition. There have been… rumors, to say the least, among our family, that the next person to be crossed by the Olympian family, or to be involved with them, is to finally end their corruption, and I want that to be you, so I am leaving you at the Academy. Poseidon's Academy.

Percy, inside this envelope will be a map, and the amount I approximate will be enough to get to where the sanctuary is. Here, the rest of the Jackson family who are alive are, and I anticipate your arrival within the next few years, if I am alive. There are others there, I think. I have been told by my father in my letter, that there is over three generations of children, cousins of yours, brothers, who are waiting. I will see, and I cannot tell you, but I believe that there are.

My final message, Perseus; you cannot trust anyone in this world, except the one closest to you. Her or him, they're your rock, your secret. And even though he nearly raised you in my position, which I am more than sorry for, Do Not Trust Poseidon Green. He is corrupt, evil, and only sees for himself. There is an evil truth behind your mother's death, and it has his hands written all over it. I believe he poisoned her, weakened her, so she died in childbirth. We gave birth to a child before you, and he killed him before he turned five. He's attempting to end the Jackson bloodline, and I refuse to let him, but my refusal has to be passed through you.

Please, Perseus. Come to us, come to me.

Do not let them drag you down, promise me.

I love you, forever and always, I am proud of you, forever and always.

- Kali Ulysses Jackson.

Percy dropped the letter, and his breath caught itself. Annabeth looked at him wearily. His eyes remained down. His hands shook. Pure rage soaked through his veins, his eyes. He let out a blood-curling scream, and looked to the stars.

"I promise you father. I swear on the Black Coin I'll kill all of those fuckers. Every single one, until my dying days." He looked down, to Annabeth, who's eyes were wide. He leaned over, and took her in his arms. "I won't let them take you, or harm you, I swear. You're my everything, Annabeth." He whispered. She smiled at him.

"I'll always be here for you. I'll never leave you." she said, and he kissed her jaw.

"I love you." the shirt- the only piece of clothing she had was removed. She reached down and rubbed his sweats, a very specific area.

"I love you too."
