Two days passed before Shinichi woke up. His head was decidedly cloudy, and he wasn't sure where he was, but he was confident he was alive. He groggily sat up and reached for his glasses; it had become a habit, and flipped on what he was pretty sure was a lamp.

The room illuminated, and he took a moment to assess his surroundings. His bed, or cot more accurately, stood against the middle of the wall in what looked like an old storage room. It was evident that cleaning had been attempted, but dust stood defiantly in the corners. He was given a couple of pieces of practical furniture such as a couch, nightstands, a desk, and a mirror.

At this point, he had remembered the occurrences of his kidnapping, but he was still not entirely sure of where he was or how he had fallen asleep there. He looked down and noticed with a start that he was very much a teen and very much naked. He scrambled to cover himself with the blankets they provided and began to plan his next move. Before he could decide, the door swung open with a loud squeak.

Jodie walked in with a massive smile on her face, "Hey! You're awake."

She continued into the room with another silver cart; However, this one wasn't as tarnished as the previous. On top of the cart was a magnificent breakfast that baffled the newly awakened Shinichi. Not only do they have brilliant scientists, they have cooks as well? He dismissed his shock, "Where are my clothes?" he questioned, "and how am I a teen again?"

The FBI agent laughed and pointed at her arm, "We stuck you here. With the antidote, of course!" She answered enthusiastically. After this confession, she grabbed the tray off of the cart and handed it out to the confused detective, "Here, eat this first and regain your strength. We'll discuss details later." After the platter was safely out of her hands, she exited without allowing any further questions on the matter.

While slightly perturbed by the insinuation that there were further details, the teen decided that his anger at being ignored was first priority. He wanted details, and he would even go so far as to say he wanted to start already. He was sure he had deduced basically what he was expected to do, and he had long since given up on escaping.

He finally glanced down at the lunch he was provided. He thought back to Jodie's quick visit and wondered…how long had he been asleep? She seemed almost surprised that he was awake. For the first time in this ordeal, he began to wonder how his friends and family were faring. While it wasn't an ideal situation, he hadn't been put into life-threatening danger, other than the knife he supposed, but he had no way of relaying this information to the others. His life was in so much disarray at the moment that he wouldn't be surprised if they thought he was dead. He might as well be. The thought disturbed him that his previous life was more or less decayed if not dead.

He began to eat and disappeared into his thoughts.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the facility, Jodie, Camel, Akai, and James Black sat watching the camera broadcasting Shinichi's room.

"How, exactly, are you planning to explain his absence to the others," James questioned. He, while aware of the program, did not approve of it. As such, he refused to assist them with their so-called 'shenanigans.' As it stood now, the only informed person outside of the program was him. Akai wasn't a permanent addition, but he occasionally helped train new recruits. They hadn't had many recently.

Jodie replied thoughtfully, "They think that he's off with Kogoro Mouri solving a case. I sent him to a resort under the guise of a well-deserved vacation." She shut down the cameras and stood silently for a moment. With renewed vigor, she twirled around and winked, "Now! I think it's time to explain, hmm?"
