A/N: Hi there! It's been a very long time since I've really done any writing, so I thought I'd jump back in with this cute, short oneshot! I hope you all enjoy!

Amu was resting on her bed. The day had been long - first with school, then with guardian duties. Her charas were fast asleep in their eggs. She wished she could join them in their slumber, but her mind was working too hard for her to sleep.

A sudden thump from her balcony interrupted her wandering mind. Amu's head snapped over to the noise.

Ikuto. He was leaning against the glass. Amu looked to him in confusion andhurried to open the door.

"Ikuto? What are you doing here?" she demanded.

He looked over at her andshe noticed something eyes looked clouded, his face a bit flushed, his brows furrowed in confusion. "Amu?" he responded. It seemed like a question, like he wasn't sure where he was.

Then, suddenly, he collapsed.

Immediately Amu felt panic as she caught him. She dragged him into her room and dropped him on her bed as gently as she could. She looked at him with worry-filled eyes.

"What's going on with you?" she whispered to herself. "I thought you were keeping out of trouble? Stupid." She gazed down at his sleeping face. He was so handsome when he was sleeping. Like an angel. A dark angel, she thought to herself with a small laugh. She brushed some of his hair from his face. He felt warm, she noticed, taking a deep breath.

This was no big deal. Ikuto had crashed in her bed before.

But it felt different now. Because now she knew her crush on Tadase was just that, a crush. But her feelings for Ikuto were so much more complex. She had finally come to terms with how she felt about him.

Amu looked away from the sleeping teen, sighing. "I love you," she muttered.

"Um." Amu jumped and her eyes widened. "Two questions. First, why am I in your bed?" Ikuto asked, propping himself up on his elbows. "And second, what did you just say?"

Instantly, Amu felt her face flush red. She hadn't expected to accidentally confess to him. "Ah, well, because you came over to visit and passed out, annnd… aha, I don't think I said anything, just pretend you didn't hear that!" Amu laughed nervously.

One of Ikuto's eyebrows lifted, and her smirked at her. "Oh? I could have sworn I heard you say something to me."

"N-never mind that! What are you doing here? And are you okay?"

Her attempt to change th subject briefly worked. Ikuto put one of his hands on his forehead and pushed his hair back. "I had a small fever when I woke up this morning. I thought I was feeling better and decided to go out for a night walk. I'm not really sure how I ended up on your balcony. I guess I wanted to see you," he teased. "I'm feeling better now, though." He pushed himself up to his feet and started to wobble almost immediately. Amu caught him and helped lower him back onto her bed.

"Stupid," she scolded, placing her hand on his head. "You're burning up. You'll have to just stay here for the night."

Ikuto smirked again. "Ah, do you miss me that much, Amu?"

The way he said her name nearly sent shivers down her spin. She shoved him lightly, "Don't be dumb. You can't go anywhere with how you are now. You shouldn't have gone anywhere in the first place."

"I didn't know you cared so much," he teased.

"Of course I do," she defended, a bit too harshly. Ikuto gave her a long look and Amu blushed, realizing what she had said. "I-I'll just go and get some water and be right ba-"

Her words were cut short when Ikuto grabbed her hand and pulled her onto the bed, embracing her.

Amu felt like her entire body was on fire. "I-Ikuto!" she stuttered. She pushed against his chest, and Ikuto tightened his hold on her waist, pulling her even closer.

He nuzzled his head into her hair, his breath tickling her ear. "Tell me what you said earlier," he whispered.

His breath sent shivers down her spin. She pulled back and looked up, her honey eyes meeting his violet ones. Her face flushed even more. He looked so serious and sincere, and… hopeful?

"I-I don't know what you're talking about…" she lied, looking away.

"Amu."

Her head snapped up and her eyes widened. He was so close. If she lifted her head jut a little more, their lips would touch. And, as if on instinct, that's exactly what she did.

Ikuto's eyes widened in surprise, but he quickly shut them and returned the kiss, deepening it. He moved one of his hands from her waist to her hair, tangling his fingers in it.

Soon they had to break for air. Amu was red as she could be, and Ikuto smiled down at her.

"I-I love you, Ikuto," Amu stuttered, looking shyly upat him through her eyelashes.

Ikuto moved his fingers from her hair to her chin, and lifted it up to meet his lips again in a soft, sweet kiss. When they broke away, he looked her in the eyes and simply replied, "I love you, too, Amu."

They fell asleep together like that, holding each other closely.

~ The next morning ~

Ikuto woke first, taking his time to stare at Amu's cute sleeping face. He was feeling much better this morning. He smiled down at the pinkette, brushing some hairs off her forehead. He leaned down and planted a kiss on the area… only to find it unusually warm. Ikuto chuckled to himself. Looks like he had passed his fever on to her. And now, it was his turn to take care of Amu.

A/N: And that's it! I hope you all enjoyed!
