A/U: Hello everyone! Welcome to the 6th chapter of my very first fanfiction! I don't have much to say other than i'm currently starting this chapter at 4:40 a.m, and i hope you all have a great day and stay safe out there.

Chapter - 6.

Akame's P.O.V

'Huh where am i?' I was sitting in my bed and saw Tatsumi sitting besides me. I was about to say something when my eyes observed our surroundings and my eyes widen as i realized. We were in our room when we were being trained as assassins by the empire.

"Tatsumi? What's going on, why are we here?" I asked but he didn't seem to hear what i was saying. He looked at me and a smiled appeared on his face as he said:

"I won't make you sad ever again my Gluttonness, i promise." Tatsumi whispered at me as he pulled me into his chest in a warm embrace.

I smiled but it soon faded when i notice his body feeling limp, i broke the hug and my eyes widen with tears running down on my face. Tatsumi and i were no longer in that room. He was now wearing a broken dragon-like armor with wings, his face was no longer covered by the armor and he looked severely injured and will die shortly due to blood loss, i saw a strange figure behind him as i look i widen my eyes to see a giant armor like teigu, although I don't know what it is but i have a feeling that it is a teigu.

Tears was still escaping my eyes as i look at Tatsumi's condition. He looked at me and gave a weak smile before saying:

"I'm sorry, looks like i couldn't keep my promise." That was his final words before he fell on my shoulder as his armor began to fade away. I was still in shock at what is happening that i couldn't say a word. The only thing that escaped my mouth was screams of sadness and tears rolling down my eyes.

"Akame!"

My eyes widen i looked at my surroundings but i couldn't see anyone.

"Akame! Wake up!"

My eyes shot open, i was in my bed, my room in Night Raid. So that was all a dream huh? But it felt so real.

I looked over and saw Tatsumi sitting in my bed with a worried look.

"Tatsumi? What are you doing here?"

"Boss told me to wake you up since you were oversleeping. You looked like you were having a nightmare! Are you okay?" He looked at me more worried than before.

"Yeah, but don't worry im fine now, thanks for waking me up, i didn't want to stay in that dream any longer."

"What did you dream about anyways?"

I frowned, I don't want to talk about what i saw especially to the one who died in front of me in my dream.

"No, forget about it, let's go eat breakfast." I said as i stood up leaving the room with Tatsumi following me.

Tatsumi's P.O.V

What was Akame dreaming about? That look on her face while she was having a nightmare was really pained, like she lost someone in that dream. But whatever, she told me to forget about it so i will.

I followed her to the kitchen and i saw Mein chasing Leyasu with gun in hand. Sheele, Boss, Lubbock and Bulat eating their food and Sayo laughing her ass off as she watches Leyasu get chased around the base by Mein.

"What's going on Sayo? Did Leyasu do something perverted again?" I asked her, she stopped laughing and turn to look at me.

"Well more or less, it all happened on an accident."

Sometime ago

Tatsumi woke up from the floor and the other two waked up as well at the same time. It was always like that, it's something they find really weird.

Tatsumi stood up and looked at the two. Strangely enough the two weren't treating each other liked body pillows and had their backs turned on each other.

"Great, so I'm the only one who had to suffer from all that embarrassment." Tatsumi whispered to himself as he recalled the first time he woke up to find himself hugging Sayo like a body pillow.

"What was that?" The two said at the same time.

"Nothing, nothing." Tatsumi said before going out of the room and into the kitchen to prepare breakfast. But to be honest, he wasn't really expecting any breakfast left due to a certain girl that almost ate all of the meat last night, and there's a high chance that she ate the rest today. They arrived at the kitchen and surprisingly, Akame wasn't there, she was always the first one to arrive at the kitchen so this is a special day for everyone because their breakfast won't be eaten before it's even served.

"Hey boss, have you seen Akame? It's unusual for her to be late for breakfast." Tatsumi asked as the three of them sat on the chairs of the table.

"She's just oversleeping, though that's really rare for her. Speaking of sleeping, can you wake Akame up for me? Leyasu you go wake up Mein before Akame gets any ideas and eat her breakfast."

"Alright!" The two of them left the room to wake up the two sleeping beauties.

Leyasu's P.O.V

Ugh, why am i the one tasked waking up Mein? Jeez i just hope she isn't a deep sleeper.

I approached her room and opened the door expecting to see Mein sleeping on her bed. I was dead wrong.

I went in, and i saw Mein only in her underwear and bra, putting on her clothes.

"KYAAAA! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING YOU PERVERT!?" Mein yelled after firing a blast from Pumpkin that i barely managed to dodge.

"Hey! The boss asked me to wake you up, it's not my fault you over...slept." I began to sweat and fear can be seen in my eyes when Mein started charging up Pumpkin again.

"If so then have you ever heard of knocking!?" She fired Pumpkin as i dodged and prepared to run for my life as Mein kept blasting Pumpkin at me.

Present time. Tatsumi's P.OV

"And that's what happened, I've been laughing my ass off ever since." Sayo said and looked over at Leyasu and Mein still not done chasing each other and continued to laugh, oh and Mein has her clothes on now. I then turned to Akame who was now eating her breakfast.

Man, I'm amazed she still looks this cute even after all that meat she eats. I wonder where all the food goes? I wonder if boss will allow us to train together, and i hope our training together turns out well. Those thoughts were the only things on my mind as i daydream of me and my Gluttonness training together.

"Hey Tatsumi, why are you staring at Akame?"

I was brought back to reality and realized that I've been staring at Akame for two whole minutes, and i could tell she was getting uncomfortable. I looked away immidiately.

I looked over to the source of the sound and saw Leone and Leyasu grinning.

"Oh," I felt my face heat up. "I was just lost in thought, sorry about that Akame." I looked down to my breakfast. I was met with an almost empty plate.

"No, it's fine. By the way boss Tatsumi and i have a request."

"What it is?" Boss said after taking a sip of coffee.

"Well we were thinking if you could let us train together instead of Mein." I asked.

Boss looked at us confused.

"Why would you two want to train together?" She asked us.

"Well since were both Katana users, i wanted to be as good as her so i can protect everyone better!" I smiled

Boss looked at me straight in the eyes and said: "Alright, i admire your determination, you can train with Akame today."

My eyes glittered and a big smile appeared from my face. "Thanks Boss! You're the best!"

"Yeah yeah, just make sure to tell Mein and your friends that you'll be training with Akame."

"Huh? What's this about?"

We looked over the source of the voice and saw Leyasu approaching us, it seems like they were done chasing each other, its about time!

"So? What're you guys talking about?" Leyasu sat down and started to eat his breakfast.

"Well me, Akame and Boss were talking and have agreed that me and Akame could train together today." After i said that, Leyasu spitted out the water he was drinking almost getting it on my food, luckily i managed to pull my food out of the way.

"Hey, watch it will you!? I almost had food covered by Leyasu's drinking water for breakfast!"

"M-my bad, why would you want to train with Akame-senpai instead? Don't tell me you're planning somethi-."

"I'll spare you the perverted thoughts, no, i'm not planning such things, i just want to learn and improve my skills as an fellow Katana wielder." I then grabbed a towel and cleaned my water covered table and resumed eating, Akame was finished eating hers and looked at me, i smiled, i know that look more than anything. I gave her a piece of my food and as expected, she took it and quickly devoured it in seconds.

I see she hasn't changed one bit.

"Right, as expected of you Tatsumi, you're the most dedicated one to get stronger from the three of us! Good luck!" Leyasu gave me a thumbs up. I smiled, he may be a perverted asshole, but besides that he's very supportive and will always be there for you if you need someone to lean on, that's why he's my best friend.

"Yeah, thanks buddy, can you tell Sayo and Mein that I'll be training with Akame today?"

"Yeah sure, don't worry about it." Leyasu had a teasing grin.

Why do i feel like something bad is going to happen? He better not get any ideas.

"Alright, let's go Akame!" I took her hand and ran to the training field.

At the training field. Tatsumi's P.O.V

Swords clashing*

We've started training right as we got here and i CANNOT believe how much she's better than me!

I slashed horizontally aiming for her neck but she blocked it right away followed by a slash to the neck, i back stepped to avoid it and dropped my wooden katana that we were training with. Naturally her focus was on my sword and she was surprised when i dropped it. Taking advantage of that moment, i tackled Akame but not enough for her to lose her balance, just enough for me to block her vision from the wooden katana she was holding, i then quickly turned the handle of her sword causing her to loose grip of it as i grabbed the handle of her sword, moved to her back and pointed the sword at the back of her neck. All this happened in just five seconds.

"Checkmate." I dropped her sword and walked towards her front.

"That caught me by surprise. Well done my meat servant." Akame smiled at me and offered a handshake.

I gladly took it and shake her hands. "Thanks, i'm surprised at how you improved! You're way faster than me now!" I smiled before an idea came across my head. "So my Gluttonness, how about let's spice things up a little!"

She looked at me confused. "What do you mean?"

"I mean use your imperial arms!" She was caught by surprised, normally, no one in their right might would want to go against a one cut killer sword for practice.

"Tatsumi, do you have a death wish?" She looked at me seriously.

"I'm serious, don't worry i won't even get scratched by Murasame, i promise you that!" I gave her a determined smile.

She looked at me hesitantly before saying: "Fine..." before she took Murasame and unsheathed it. I prepared my wooden sword that surprised her again, but it seems like she trusts me enough so she didn't asked why.

Akame charged at me and i quickly dodged, she tried to cut me again but i blocked her sword with mine.

Both of our swords clash until i noticed that my wooden Katana is almost broken.

I guess it's time i use it.

Before Akame could attack again, i activated Constant flux. Akame looked surprised and i quickly took advantage of that, i ducked and swung my legs at hers, she lost her balance and fell to the ground. I quickly got up and pointed my sword at her.

"I win again."

"How?"

"How what?" I looked at her confused but i face palmed in realization.

"Oh right, i can use constant flux on any kind of sword. It all just depends on my breathing, it's really hard to master and took me a year and a half to even get the hang of it and a year more to use Hinokami kagura, even now it takes a huge toll on my energy."

"I see, then why didn't you tell me about that?"

"Well i kept it a secret so i can surprise you when we train together, and it worked! The score's 2-0 now." I gave Akame a hand and helped her stand up.

"I see, so you use the element of surprise to drop your opponent's guard. That's a good way to defeat someone more powerful than you." Akame then took my hand as she dragged me out of the training field. "Next up, fishing."

Tatsumi's P.O.V

Akame and i arrived at a small cliff with a river below.

"Alright, were going to catch Koga tuna again. Remember what i though you three." She lectured, i nodded and took my shirt off and jumped off the cliff and into the lake. After a few seconds, three fishes came out of the water and into the basket we were carrying.

"Well, atleast i caught more than before." The first time we did it i only caught two Tunas, those guys are really hard to catch.

"You did great, now's my turn." Akame then jumped into the lake, seconds later and eight fishes went into the basket.

"Nice catch my Gluttonness! You caught two more than you did last time!" I could only compliment her hunting skills, it was way out of league for me.

"Thanks. Now that that's done, let's dry ourselves and proceed to the next training." She said as she got out of the water. I smiled as an idea came on my mind.

"Oh no we don't!" I ran to her and tackled her back to the river, the water was really clean and warm since it was exposed to the sun and it makes you really relaxed. I figured we'd play around a bit in the water since we finished fishing so early.

"W-whoa!" She said as we fell to the water.

Splash!*

"Hey meat servant! What was that for?" Akame asked as she splashes me with water continuously for six times.

"Haha, well, i noticed you were in a pretty bad mood after waking up from that nightmare, so i thought I'd cheer you up a little! Come on, the water is fine it's the perfect time to relax!" I laughed and splashed her back.

"Yeah you're right, a break is needed every once in a while... Hey, meat servant." I looked at her but she suddenly disappeared. I looked around and didn't saw her and that's when it hit me.

Whoosh!*

Splash!*

Wha!?

She swam underwater and when my guard was down, she swam up under me causing me to get tossed and splashed back to the water.

She laughed at me, i smiled, her laughing, was a rare sight even for me.

"Heh, not bad my Gluttonness, what do you say, we have a swimming competition? Last one to get to the other side and back here losses." I challenged her. The river was around fourty-five feet wide and swimming across it is no easy task, you're gonna need a lot of stamina to go from there and back here.

"I accept, the one who losses has to do what the other says for today." She said, i nodded in agreement and we went to the corner and positioned ourselves.

"1!"

Both of us got a good headstart. 10 feet across and the both of us are still swimming at the same speed, she might be faster than me but swimming was also part of my training back then so i have the advantage of experience. 20 feet across and we still haven't passed each other yet.

35 feet across and now i was barely getting ahead of her though she caught up on the 40 feet mark. 45 Feet across! We have arrived at the other side at the same time! But this isn't over yet, both of us didn't even relax and dove back in the water.

Were almost at the finish line with both of us overtaking each other every second! Only a few more, we're neck on neck, a few more feet aaaaand,

Splash*

Akame was the first one to come back with me coming in at second place arriving a second later.

Arrgh! That was a close one! I'll need to do better next time.

"I win, and now for the loser's punishment." She smiled.

I sweat dropped. I already know what this glutton will have me do for the rest of the day.

"First things first, let's relax, that was a little tiring." Akame said before leaning on the side of the river.

A little tiring!? If not for the water I'd be sweating as hell! I just sat there in disbelief but i shrugged it off and relax as well.

20 Minutes later.

It's been 20 minutes since we finished our race and I'm getting a bit sleepy. "Alright let's get going, i might fall asleep if we stay here for longer."

Akame nodded and the two of us got out of the water and put on our clothes and headed back to the forest.

We were walking for a couple of hours, killing danger beasts since Akame ate almost all of the meat supply we had back at base and so far we've only slain seven danger beasts. After a few minutes, we decided to call it a day and head back to the base since the sun was almost setting.

We arrived back at HQ and went to the kitchen and prepared the danger beast meat we killed and cooked dinner for everyone, i had to cook Akame double the amount of food because that's what she ordered me while we were walking back to base.

We placed down the food on the table and called out everyone for dinner.

We all sat down and started chowing down the food. I was sitting in the middle of the left side of the table, to my right was Akame and to my left side was Leyasu.

"Alright, we have a new mission." Boss said while pulling out a cigarette.

"Boss it isn't safe to smoke while eating." I said.

"Oh don't worry, this is just chocolate. Anyways, we have a new mission. Apparently, Minister Honest's cousin has been using Honest's name for his own disgusting needs and getting away with crimes. The revolutionary army has ordered us to eliminate him this night, right now he's at the imperial fist temple.

We only have one chance so Mein will snipe him from afar, Leyasu, you'll be in charge of guarding Mein if anyone sneaks up on her and Mein, if he does anything perverted don't be afraid to blast him to smithereens."

"You got it boss! But why is Leyasu the one to guard me? I prefer Sheele than this idiot."

"Hey! Don't look so down at me, i can fight too you know!" Leyasu said clearly pissed off.

"We can't have Sheele to guard you because we need to kill the guards as quickly as possible so we can leave before any others arrive. There's about ten guards that we'll be facing so we need to finish this as quickly as possible, and don't worry, Sayo, you're going to alert the two if there's any soldiers that managed to sneak up on us so be close to them at all times." Najenda ordered.

"Okay boss! Hear that Leyasu? I'll be looking after your butts now."

"Alright, move out!"

With Mein and Leyasu.

Mein and Leyasu were hiding on a cliff nearby the imperial fist temple waiting for the Minister's cousin to come out [Sorry, forgot his name : ].

"How can you even hit him from here? We're very far away."

"Don't underestimate my skill stupid, I'm a sniper genius, this distance is like a walk in the park." Mein bragged. She was really confident about her sniping skills and even proved to be better than Sayo by a long shot.

After a few minutes of waiting, their target has finally come out of the temple surrounded by innocent imperial fist students.

"Tch. Using trainees as meat shields." Leyasu commented. He didn't like the fact that this guy is using innocent lives to protect his own ass.

"Be quiet newbie." Mein prepared Pumpkin in snipe mode. Pumpkin not only uses the users emotions as bullets, it can also switch between sniper and rifle mode to gain the upper advantage of most situations.

"How can you even hit him without harming those other people?" Leyasu asked but Mein didn't respond and just focused on her target's location.

'Man, her focus is incredible.' Leyasu thought to himself.

Mein fired a blast. Leyasu used his binoculars and his jaw dropped when he saw the blast hit their intended target.

"Holy crap!"

"See? They didn't call me a sniper genius for nothing you know." Mein said with pride. "Now we should head to the rendezvous point." Leyasu nodded and the two made their way to the meet up place.

Same time with Tatsumi and the others

After the Minister's relative had been killed, all of the ten soldiers rushed out into the forest to find Night Raid.

"Tch, this is bad! We need to kill those assassins or else the Minister will have our heads!" One of the soldiers screamed.

Little did they know that Akame's group was watching them.

"Alright, now!" Akame yelled, Akame jumped in front of the ten soldiers followed by Tatsumi, Leone, Bulat, Sheele and Lubbock.

"It's Night Raid!" One of them screamed. "Guess you spared us the trouble of finding you."

Akame charged at the group so fast that the soldiers didn't have time to react. Akame cut three of them on the neck causing the three to die instantly from Murasame's poison. Leone soon followed after punching a soldier in the gut, even though at beast form, Leone didn't have the luxury of killing enemies with one cut like Akame so Leone took longer dealing with a single soldier since they've master the imperial fist style.

The man quickly got up and ran to Leone, he tried to punch Leone in the stomach but Leone back stepped and dodged his attack, said man used his leg and tried to hit Leone on her leg to lose her balance but she caught on and jumped high to avoid the attack, she spun mid air and used the momentum and down kicked the guy in the head with powerful force that caused the man's head to fall off his body and smacked hard into the ground.

While that was happening, Tatsumi activated Constant flux and launched a barrage of attacks against three of the soldiers. At first, the soldiers were able to barely dodge the assassin's attacks but Tatsumi got faster with each swing until they could no longer keep up and was cut on the neck by his sword.

Bulat and Sheele stabbed and cut the remaining guards that was still alive leaving Lubbock with zero kills.

"Ugh this sucks, i didn't even get to kill atleast one of them." Lubbock complained.

"Aww, poor Luba, you can blame Tatsumi and Akame for that, they literally took out six of them alone." Leone said getting the attention of the two mentioned assassins.

"Oh, sorry about that Lubbock, you'll only get half the reward." Tatsumi and Akame apologized.

"Whatever, atleast I didn't get blood on my hands this time."

"Huh? That's pretty odd."

The three looked over and saw Bulat and Sheele.

"The two of us only killed two of those guys, we thought you killed the last one Lubbock." Sheele said. They all stood there in silence until they gasped in realization.

"We need to go to the rendezvous point now!" They all said at the same time.

With Mein, Sayo and Leyasu

Sayo, Leyasu and Mein were now heading to the rendezvous point in the forest.

"So, Mein." Leyasu started talking. "If you don't mind me asking, how did you join Night Raid?"

"Well, since you've been so obedient lately, I don't mind telling you. You see, I'm half western so when i was a kid, i was bullied for my race, no one cared for me, i was left alone on the streets. But one day, someone did care, that someone gave me a place to stay, food and water. But that person got executed because the empire suspected him of having an alliance with the revolutionary army, i forgot who that someone is but he or she inspired me to fight for what's right, i won't let anyone be bullied by their race ever again."

'Wow, I didn't knew Mein had such an horrible past.' Leyasu thought to himself.

"You're pretty nice after all Mei-." He was about to praise Mein but she cut him off.

"And then when we free the empire from corruptness I'll get loads of money and live my life with luxury, hahahahaha! Did you say something Leyasu?"

"What? No forget it." Leyasu said as they kept walking and spotted a Blossom tree. "Looks like we're at the rendezvous point now."

"Leyasu! Mein! Watch out!"

Leyasu and Mein turned their heads and saw Sayo on top of a tree branch and another person charging at Mein.

"Mein! Watch out!" Leyasu screamed and pushed Mein away before the guy could slash her with his sword.

"So you all are Night Raid hm? I was about to do a sneak attack but i guess that girl over there spotted me. The Minister's relative might be dead but if kill you all right now maybe the Minister will spare me."

'Judging by his armor, he's a member of those imperial fist fighters or whatever.' "Tch, don't get ahead of yourself, it's three against one!" Leyasu spoke.

"I like those odds." He said before charging at Leyasu. Leyasu drew his axe from his back and countered a slash from the soldier. Mein used Pumpkin and Sayo used her bow, the two fired a shot but the enemy managed to dodged both by leaping behind Leyasu. Leyasu quickly turned around but was too late when the soldier punched him at the back sending Leyasu to one of the trees.

'Shit, this guy is pretty strong.' Leyasu thought to himself before standing up. Their enemy just laughed and said:

"Heh, surprised aren't you? I was kicked out from the temple for being too strong and violent so I'm not a weakling like those nine other guards that got killed by your other group."

"Oi, mister incredibly strong guy! Did you forget about me you dumbass!?" Mein screamed firing a shot from Pumpkin but the guard jumped out of the way, after landing, he quickly jumped again avoiding three arrows fired by Sayo. 'Shit, i have to get rid of those snipers if i want any progress done.' He said to himself as he landed. Leyasu saw that he was getting too focused avoiding the shots sent by Mein and Sayo that he wasn't paying attention to him anymore, Leyasu used this opportunity and ran up to the guard. Leyasu tackled the guard that just landed after jumping to avoid the arrows shot by Sayo. "W-what the!? Let go of me!" The guard screamed punching Leyasu's back repeatedly to lose his grip but Leyasu endured it.

"Mein! Fire Pumpkin quickly! I don't know how much longer i can hold him off!" Leyasu screamed.

"Oh Leyasu, I can't believe you would sacrifice yourself~." Mein teased.

"Just shoot Mein! You're a genius sniper right? Then prove it by only hitting him!"

"Alright, here it comes!" Mein charged up Pumpkin causing the guard to panic and punched Leyasu's back even stronger and faster but Leyasu could still barely hold it in.

Boom!*

Mein fired pumpkin and managed to only hit the enemy putting a hole in his chest killing him instantly. Leyasu wasn't as strong as Tatsumi so after taking all those hits, he collapsed on the ground barely managing to keep conscious. Sayo saw his condition and jumped down from the tree and ran to Leyasu.

"Leyasu! Are you alright? You took quite a beating." Sayo said but Leyasu just giggled in response.

"Yeah, i don't feel like i could walk either, I'm too tired."

"Great job Newbie, you managed to stay conscious after that." Mein said walking up to Leyasu. "I suppose i should praise you for your bra-." She was cutted off when Leyasu hand chopped her in the head.

"Genius sniper my ass! Look what that Pumpkin thing did to my hair!" Leyasu complained while pointing at a burnt part on his hair.

"Ugh! What's wrong with you!? I was about to compliment you for your bravery but never mind that!"

"*sigh*" 'atleast they get along.' Sayo though to herself as she listen to the two argue.

"Hey Sayo!"

Sayo looked behind her and saw Tatsumi, Akame, Bulat, Sheele, Leone and Lubbock approaching them. "Oh hey guys! If you're worried about the guard that slipped through you're fingers, don't worry we took care of it!"

Tatsumi let out a sigh of relief.Tatsumi looked over and saw Leyasu laying on the ground and Mein arguing, something about target practice and hair jells. And it seems that they haven't noticed them yet. "Hey guys!" Tatsumi called out, the two stoped arguing and looked at Tatsumi and the others who were approaching them.

"Oh, hey guys." Leyasu said before noticing that Tatsumi was giving him a worried look. "What's up?"

"What do you mean "What's up?" Why are you laying down on the ground?"

"Well, i had to keep that guy in one place so Mein can hit him with Pumpkin." Leyasu pointed to the dead man with a hole in his chest. "I was holding him in place but he was really strong and tried to punch me at the back multiple times so i would lose my grip, good thing I'm tough and endured it until Mein obliterated a part of his chest killing him instantly, but now I'm so tired i can't even stand up."

"Alright, I'll carry you then." Tatsumi then lifter Leyasu on his back. "Let's get back to base everyone!"

"What makes you think you can order is around like that Newbie!?" Mein screamed, everyone else just sweat dropped i response.

"Let's go." Akame said as they all made their way back to base.

Author's notes

Yay! Am finally done with this frikin chapter, i was lazying around all week so i couldn't finish this chapter as fast as it should be, so yeah, sorry bout' that.

Thank you so much Flenners fanfics for that great advice, i know i didn't bring the best out of it but I'll try to do better in the future. Oh and sure we can talk via pm, tbh I'm close to having no idea on how Leyasu and Mein will end up together so im curious to hear everyone's thoughts about that.

I would also like to point out that, yes, someone WILL end up dying.
