Chapter 1

Hang tight guys, I might still have my dialogue-heavy tendencies, but i'm trying. I promise there will be action as soon as chapter 3 (which I'm almost about done with hehe)

I will have typo's, sorry. Some of it is on purpose though so its all okay in my book.

H-

Everything was kinda icky.

Very boring.

Link was tired, and Gerudo Desert was hot and he felt sticky and Midna was being annoying because he was annoying her and

He knew he had to venture back towards the domain of the Zora's next after leaving the desert, but he wasn't sure if he had to check back in with the Resistance first at Telma's or if he just booked it right there. He'd rather not run around everywhere, but Midna wanted him to as long as they got done what they needed to, so he was Not going to Talk to Midna. Nope.

But he did anyway because he liked her too much, he was at a loss, and he was ready to finish saving Midna's land and Hyrule as fast and as best as he could. Even if Midna and he liked to mess around a bit on the way. If he had it his way, he'd like to scare some of those pretentious Castle Town folk by parading around as a wolf with no one to stop him. Well, more than just the one time he accidentally did it when he was trying to save Midna's life.

Link supposed it wouldn't hurt to check, the group usually had something helpful to say. Or maybe the barkeeper, Telma, knew something new about his childhood friend, Ilia, who currently had amnesia.

Also, Telma's titty windows too to be honest, but he wouldn't say or do anything about that...

Following his train of thought of what to do next, and not that other fleeting thought, Midna manifested out of Link's shadow directly to the left of him. Which frighted the crap out of him, and caused him to flinch and the cuff around his left wrist to clang together. "It's a shame the Mirror of Twilight was broken, even if only into 3 pieces, I was looking forward to dragging you there with me! It's such a pretty place...you'll see once we fix it up and beat up Zant!" She stretched and leaned against his head and trifled with his dirty blonde hair, which caused him to softly sigh.

She then abruptly affectionately shoved his head away and laughed. "Well, whatever, giddy up doggy! I'll take you over to Hyrule Field if you want, but then let's get a move on!"

He agreed, but now he had to rub the crick out of his neck. "Hmmph. That's fine, we should probably check with Telma and the others first anyway, to figure out what to do with the snowy mountains in the West." He shoved her back and then got punched in the shoulder as retaliation. Before, of course, getting forcibly turned into his wolf form, getting his molecules turned to squares or something and thrown upwards into the Ether as he supposed it was.

From the Ether comes Hyrule Field apparently. Link landed on the ground with an involuntary yelp and just continued to lay there. He really didn't want to get back up right now. Midna said nothing however from her perch on his downed back, laying down with him for a bit seemed nice.

Until she heard a noise that hit her differently, it was whack. She sprung off of her companion's back and looked off into the direction of the sound...it was coming away from the bridge leading into Hyrule Castle Town, and towards an outcropping of land made of some kind of ruined stone structure. She was listening so intensely that she was startled by a sound that Link had made behind her, it was simply a sound of discomfort, and he didn't need to be a Hylian who could physically tell her for her to figure it out.

She wanted to check out the noise though...Link was a big boy, he'd be okay. Better know what the sudden noise was first before her companion came across the source of it and wasn't prepared or too groggy. Especially while he was finally getting a small rest.

It seemed he didn't feel so well now either, from what, she didn't know and didn't care to ask. Now about that noise…

It wasn't what she suspected, to say the least. When she had reached the supposed scene, she found miscellaneous items and weapons laid around like they were thrown in a fit and left to sit there. There were arrows shrewd about, loose rupees that she fought herself to not take, an ornate jar with handles that seemed to hold a significant purpose, a curved cane, a sky blue ocarina, and several other items. A few of them caught her one visible eye better than the others, however, and she moved closer to get a better look. She hadn't seen anyone near them when she first came over to the scene, anyway.

For starters, there was a Clawshot that seemed more like a hook than a claw that sat on its side, and next to it sat a sheathed sword and shield. Neither of them looked or seemed familiar to her, but it was the power that was contained in the sword in particular that caught her interest. It seemed to be one of high significance, but for what she didn't know. So, naturally, she picked it up and tested a few whacks and rested the shield on her mask so that she could take it over to Link. He might want a few of these items, could be handy moving forward to reclaiming the Mirror of Twilight.

Midna turned around, shield on head, and sword in hand. Link had had enough rest now anyway. She hadn't made it far before she was stopped by a yell and stomping feet heading towards her. "Hey wait!" a young boy's voice was thrown in her direction, so she stopped, and turned again to face it.

The figure ran up to her, but the shield was obscuring her vision so she couldn't freaking see him besides his boots. Which was really helpful, and probably disrespectful but she didn't care. Someone was interrupting her actions. He panted for a second before continuing, "Hey, uh, those are mine!" Midna could sense him reaching gently for the sword in her hand, so she lowered it and shook off the shield. "I... would like my sword back please, but thanks for uh returning the shield though, ma'am." She looked up as he bowed his head politely.

He was a cute kid, probably about 12 or 13 years old or so, but who was she to say no to even a kid asking for his sword back? He didn't seem malicious, he seemed polite too, even if she didn't like being called 'ma'am'. She giggled at him and gestured her hair that she shaped like a hand for emphasis at the items on the ground, "These yours, kid?" He nodded vigorously, "Better pick em up before someone nabs them." She decided to be helpful, she got a good feeling about the kid, and dropped the sheathed sword at his feet and went to collect his stuff.

He seemed to have the same fashion sense as Link though, but that wasn't too odd, it was simply a green tunic, and it wasn't exactly a thing that only Link could wear...even if the Light Spirits did say it was special. Hmm, that could be a perfect reason for a kid to dress like that, for protection from the Light Spirits themselves.

The boy looked flustered, and after he strapped his sword back to his back, he ran a hand through his blonde hair and walked over to put his stuff away with Midna's help. "Thanks for helping, ma'am, to be honest, I thought you were going to run off with my stuff!" He paused, "I did lose my hat though, you didn't see him, did you? He's not really a hat, but a bird that rests on my head…?" The boy seemed concerned, "If not I'm sure I'll come across him somewhere...he's loud enough." He shrugged when Midna only shook her head.

"First, no, and I'm not going to look for him with you. Second, don't call me ma'am, the name's Midna." She pat him on the head after everything was back in his pouches, and began to lead him back to where Link was lying down. "Oh, and I was going to run off with the stuff, but I was going to make my friend pick most of it up though. But...since I like you, you can keep all that junk. Link doesn't need it anyway, he already has a bunch of his own junk to deal with." She laughed.

The boy visibly glowed with awe as they began to make their way back, "Woah, your friend's named Link too? That's so cool, it's a pretty rare name from what I've seen! Oh, and I do appreciate you giving me my gear back." He added as they approached what looked like a big dog lying uncomfortably in the grass.

"Oh, so your name's Link? That is pretty cool I guess, and in that case, meet my friend, this Link." She smiled a bit creepily but seemed amused enough where the kid wasn't too shaken. However, he didn't see who she was referring to unless she meant the dog laying in front of them. Which was then confirmed when she gestured to the mound of dark fur.

She jumped on the large animal's back and got him to stand. The boy was then proved incorrect when the dog turned out to actually be a dark wolf. Interesting company he'd found himself in, perhaps more so than his 'helpful' friend Ezlo.

He felt it dumb to ask…"A wolf…?" But he did it anyway, naturally.

The wolf responded with a sound that could only be classified as an "uwu", which probably scared him more than just there just being a large predator in front of him.

Minda laughed and gently hit him on the side of the head with her hand, "Cut out that uwu shit, Link, it's funny but so annoying," She practically drawled. Said Link walked forward and sniffed the air around the younger boy, and turned to Midna again with a look that he couldn't quite decipher, but the imp seemingly understood it. It seemed as such because she yanked him back and grabbed something off of his forehead that the confused newcomer had no idea was there in the first place.

It was an orange striped rock, and it dissolved into nothing... the wolf named Link was following suit and also dissolving. Except he didn't dissolve, he simply grew in height until he looked like a person. When the shadows evaporated, he really was just a person. One with dirty blonde hair, wild blue eyes, and a green tunic similar to his, hat and all, even if Ezlo wasn't really a hat, and if he wasn't here at the moment.

"Oh, not a wolf." The smaller Link stated simply as if correcting himself, nodding at the wolf-turned-person. He was surprised that he wasn't surprised.

The taller Link flicked his head and smiled at Minda, who in response receded into his shadow trailing along behind him. He motioned for the remaining person to begin walking towards the large castle and surrounding town with him. The smaller boy had yet to really notice the surroundings, due to his disheveledness, but now that he was looking, he was in a beautiful field surrounding a beautifully structured town and castle. When the two reached the wooden bridge, the 18-year-old Link scratched his chin, the chained cuff around his wrist jingling as he did. "Not to be blunt, but you smell the same as me."

The younger blonde boy looked up to the older boy's head where he was walking a bit ahead of him. Their boots clunked against the sturdy wood in a rhythmic pattern. "Sounds pretty blunt." He paused to take a breath, but it came out strangled as a piercing feeling stabbed through his stomach causing him to hunch over. "It's that awful feeling again! Urgh…" The older link hurriedly turned around to check his companion's sudden ailment but found himself with the same piercing feeling that made him want to lay down and never get up that he had gotten earlier right after warping to Hyrule Field with Midna.

Through gritted teeth, he turned to rest a hand on one of the 12-year-old's shoulders who looked about ready to keel over, "Again?"

Using the support of the older Link's arm steadying him, he looked up and nodded. "It happened earlier and right after I ended up wherever I am here now with you. Though I did fall for a bit first." He winced.

The abruptness of the nauseated pain dispersed as rapidly as it had come, and the two let out shaky breaths, straightened, and looked towards their close destination of Hyrule Castle Town. "Oh no, is that going to happen again?!" The smaller Link flinched and reached out for the older one's arm for comfort, who in response patted his head.

"Let's just make it to Telma's Bar, okay? Then we can talk about what that was about, and address why we smell the same." He got a quiet nod from the nervous kid and so he began to lead the way forward again, clunking forward with more urgency than before.

Unfortunately, they had only reached the gates to the outer ring of the town before they both tripped over something unseen and fell.

And fell, and fell.

Hmmmm
