Usagi melted against Mamoru's lips as he kissed her deeply in the secluded part of the park. She embraced him, deepening the kiss when suddenly a wave of energy flashed in the sky, forcing them to break apart. Suddenly, something crashed into both of them and they tumbled to the ground. Usagi sat up, rubbing her head, blinked a few times. A small child, her pink hair in the same style as her own (which Usagi couldn't help but find somewhat endearing), was sitting atop Mamoru.

The child sat up. "Sorry Mister."

Mamoru scratched his head. "Um. It's alright?"

Usagi stood. "Kid, did you fall out of a tree or something? You okay?"

The child hopped up, ran straight up to her. "You're Sailor Moon!"

Usagi's eyes widened and she shared a look with Mamoru who had just gotten up. "W-what are you talking about!"

Rather familiarly, the child grabbed her hand. "Yes you are! You have the Silver Crystal, I know you do! You have to help me!"

Usagi pulled away from her grip. "Whoa, kid, what is all this about? And did your parents not teach you the word please?"

The child looked down as if genuinely chastised. Then, she made a curtsy. "Princess Serenity-"

Usagi made a strangled gasp as the very title brought back a rush of memories of another lifetime. One she kept carefully stored away so that grief would not drive her to madness. "How do you know that name?"

Undeterred, the child continued. "I, Princess Usagi Serenity Tsukino, request your aid."

Mamoru strode up. "Who in the world are you?"

The little princess growled. "I just told you! Princess Usagi, my friends call me Chibiusa! Come on, there's no time!"

Usagi took in a breath. "For a princess you're awfully rude!"

"You can scold me later, just come and help me!" Chibiusa whined, once more grabbing onto Usagi and attempting to pull.

Mamoru placed a hand on her shoulder. "How can we help you if we don't know what's going on?"

Chibiusa considered this logic. "There was a big explosion and…and…"Her bravado faded away and she bit down on her trembling lip. "And…M-Mommy isn't moving and a lot of people a-are hurt-" She could no longer control her lips' trembling, her eyes filling with tears and within seconds she was bawling, throwing herself against Usagi's chest, wrapping her arms around her. Usagi froze in shock before embracing her, gently rubbing the small of her back. Chibiusa wept beneath her breasts and Usagi took a moment to examine her while still comfortingly caressing her. She was small, barely coming up to her hip. She must have been about five or six. Questions swirled around in her mind. Where was she from? Was this some sort of trick?

Mamoru knelt and stroked her hair. "Chibiusa? Take a breath."

Chibiusa didn't, shuddering with each sob. Usagi lifted her chin. "I know it's hard, but listen to Mamoru."

She calmed down, but only a little bit, resting in Usagi's arms. Usagi smiled down at her. "Now, why don't you tell us where you're from?"

"Fr-from Crystal Tokyo." Another shuddering breath. "The Thirtieth Century."

They shared another look, but Usagi continued to gently hold on to her. Mamoru raised an eyebrow. "You'll understand we're going to find that hard to believe."

Chibiusa burst into cries again and Usagi held her tighter against herself. The affection seemed to soothe her and she rested her head upon Usagi's bosom. "Pl-please, you've gotta believe me."

Mamoru patted her head. "We're not saying we don't, but we need proof. You say you're Princess Usagi Serenity Tsukino. Are you…are you our descendant?"

She sniffled. "Y-yeah, kind of. Descendant means like your grandkid right?"

Mamoru hesitated. "Are you…are you our grand-daughter?"

"Take away the grand."

"W-what?" Usagi shot straight up, jaw dropping. "You're saying you're our daughter!"

Chibiusa nodded. "Y-yes. I-I am. If you're Princess Serenity…I am."

"Might I ask how?" Mamoru stood in front of her. "I mean, how are you a princess? What country does your mother rule exactly? Was the Moon Kingdom re-established?"

"Mommy and Daddy rule Crystal Tokyo and Crystal Tokyo rules Earth…I think that's how it works, but I think I heard it called a con-feder-confed-"

"Confederation."

"Yeah, that, which means the other countries get to do a lot, but they still got ta listen to Mommy and Daddy for real important stuff."

Mamoru nodded. "But I mean…how did she become ruler?"

"Mommy saved the world." Her voice was tinged with definite hero worship and she even jumped in the air. "Mommy and her friends the Sailor Scouts and Daddy-"

"I save the world a lot, but I'm not queen yet!"

"You will be!" Chibiusa spoke with absolute conviction. "There'll be a big giant ice monster and he'll freeze the world and you warm it up again and you use the Silver Crystal to make everyone live a long time and bring peace to the world!"

Usagi nodded along. "A big giant ice monster. So I have that to look forward to."

Mamoru stepped away and whispered in Usagi's ear. "Can we trust her? This could be some sort of trick."

Usagi whispered back. "I don't know. She's pretty cute, and I get a strange, warm feeling in my heart just looking at her."

"Yeah so do I. I want to trust her, but what she's saying is pretty far-fetched."

"Let's go get the girls."

"Good idea." He spoke up. "Chibiusa, we've decided to help you."

"Yay! I knew you would!" She ran up and threw her arms around them both. Mamoru couldn't help but smile as they returned the embrace. There was something about her that reminded him of Usagi. She followed them, stopping herself from racing into traffic by an inch. Each one took one of her little hands in theirs as they crossed the street.
