Hello my readers! Ah man, I literally can't believe how long it has been since I updated this( or any other) of my stories! I deeply apologize for that. In all honesty, I just haven't had the drive nor the inspiration to post new chapters that I could be proud of. Luckily for you, that seemed to have changed today. This is going to a bit lengthier than other chapters I've posted since it's been so long. Anyways, enough with my ranting, let's get right into it! Enjoy!

The Next Morning:

The faint sound of empty beer bottles clanking against one another from down the hall caused me to awaken from my temporary coma.

When I opened my eyes, I could see Jax was still asleep with barely any covers concealing his deliciously nude body.

With furrowed brows, I looked down at my own body.

I had the majority of the covers loosely coiled around me while each article of clothing I wore yesterday was strewn throughout our bedroom.

Yup, you guessed it.

I don't and can't remember shit from last night.

All I know from the evidence I have gathered within the first thirty seconds of being awake is I engaged in some sex with my husband.

At least it wasn't some random dick I was riding.

Then this day would go downhill and fast.

Being careful not to wake Jax, I slowly sat up, immediately feeling the repercussions of my alcohol consumption.

I instantly fell back onto the pillow, pressing my hands against my face, letting out a muffled groan.

Jax automatically released a chuckle, looking over at me.

"I told you to slow down on those shots, darlin'. But, you didn't want to listen to me."

"If you really wanted to stop me, you could've just pried the shots from my hands," I quipped.

"Nah, I wouldn't do that to you. This was our last hoorah for a while since our second son will be born in less than two weeks," he replied, pulling me close to him, planting an audible kiss on my forehead.

The statement brought a smile to my face, making me remember why I celebrated so hard in the first place.

He was absolutely right.

Once he arrives, we were gonna have another round consisting of restless nights and two minute power naps throughout the day.

But, it was all so fucking worth it.

"You were insane last night," Jax stated, changing the subject all together.

"Drinking wise?", I questioned, looking up at him.

"Sure, but I actually mean sex wise. We officially need a new bed."

Ignoring the exrcuiating pain radiating throughout my head, I pushed onto Jax's chest, using his body to help me sit upright.

Holy shit.

The entire bed was no longer supported by the frame.

We were on the bedroom floor.

"Jesus Christ," I breathed.

Jax smiled, caressing my bare back with his ringed hand.

"I know, I said that a few times myself last night."

I laid back down, making his chest my pillow.

"Looks like we are going to have to go shopping for a bed on top of setting up the nursery in the guest room."

"Consider it already done, darlin'."

Dressed in one of Jax's t-shirts and a pair of black capri leggings, I headed down the hallway of our home, following the heavenly smell that guided me toward the kitchen.

Once I reached Abel's closed door, I turned on my heels and quietly opened the door to check on him.

He was still sound asleep with his blankets on the floor next to him.

I entered the room, bending down to pick up the blanket to drape it back over him.

When he was fully covered again, I leaned down, giving him a gentle kiss on the side of his head before I departed from his room.

From the looks of things, our home was spotless and most of who attended the party last night had finally left.

"Good morning Mel. I'm making omlettes and bacon. There's coffee in the pot, aspirin on the table along with your daily medication," Mandy stated, giving me a warm smile.

Mandy is one of Samcrow's most infinite and newest croweaters.

She seems sweet, but almost too sweet.

I know Gemma has made it known that croweaters and most of Charming will basically kiss the ground you walk on the moment you are in their presence, but it always made me feel slightly uneasy.

Okay, more than slightly.

Was she really doing all of this because she knew the rules when it came to old ladies or was there a secret vendetta somewhere hidden within her?

Whichever reason that drives her to act the way she does, I'll be observing regardless.

"Mel, is everything okay?", she asked with a look of concern displayed on her face.

I snapped out of my daze and nodded.

"Yeah, I'm good. Just need some time to recover is all," I reassured her as I went to the cabinet for a coffee mug.

As Jax exited the steam filled shower, he could hear his cellphone ringing from the bedroom.

"Babe, can you get that for me," he yelled while he wrapped a towel around his hips.

"Babe?"

Since he didn't recieve a response, he quickly made a dash to his cell, answering the incoming call on the final ring.

"Hello?"

"Hey Jax."

It sounded like his mother-in-law, but he wasn't so sure.

He moved his phone away from his face, looking at the caller id.

"Lin, are you alright? You sound like shit."

"Well, I feel like it too. It seems that I've forgotten that my body doesn't bounce back as well as it used to when I drink."

"You too, huh?"

"Yup. I know I said that I'd take Abel for the time you and Mel were up at the cabin, but I haven't left the bathroom since I made it back home this morning."

"It's alright, Linda. We'll figue something else out."

"Already ahead of ya. I called Gemma and she said she could take Abel for the day."

Jax's entire body tensed up the moment he heard Gemma's name leave her mouth.

It was like the sound of his mother's name has become an allergy his body just couldn't tolerate.

He had every right to feel that way, especially with what those letters held in them.

This allergy may just become permanent because of it.

"Jax? Jax sweetheart, are you there?"

"Yeah," he cleared his swelling throat before he forced out his answer.

"Is that okay?"

Mel entered the room, noshing on a piece of bacon as she bent down to take a seat onto the bed.

"Yeah...That's fine. I hope you feel better."

"Thank you. You two have a good time at the cabin."

Linda and Jax ended the short lived call in perfect sync.

He placed his cellphone back onto the nightstand, shifting his questionable gaze over to me.

"Baby, is everything okay?"

"Your mom can't take Abel since she's feeling worse than you today so my mom wants to take him for the night."

"Is that okay with you? Because if it isn't, I could always call Britt. She'd be happy to watch him."

"I already told her that it was fine. I just may need a lil bit to be actually fine with it."

I crawled across the bed, standing up on my knees in front of him.

My arms made the attempt to wrap around his neck, but since our bed now has a permanent position on the bedroom floor, that was no where near possible.

Seeing what I was trying to do, Jax shifted his hands underneath my arms, effortlessly lifting me up into the air.

I sucessfully wrapped my arms around his neck, moving his head foward to kiss me.

He picked up on what I was putting out and he place a firm kiss on my lips.

He rested his head against mine once our lips finally seperated.

"I know those letters put you into a tailspin and you are still trying to wrap your head around all the shit that has recently been brought to light. It's okay to not be okay with her yet."

"No darlin', it's not. She's my mom."

"And I fully am aware of that, baby. But all in all, the wound is still fresh. It's very clear you're not in that place to just look over what she has done, and that's okay. It's more than okay."

"Can I ask you a question?"

He set me down onto my feet and I nodded.

"Always."

"How have you been coping with what she did whenever she is around?"

"It's not an easy feat, but I'm trying for Abel's sake. I want to be cordial for our son."

Jax let that soak in.

Staying civil for their son.

He's gonna try to use that as motivation, but it obiviously won't come as easy for him.

With every fiber in his body, he was willing to try.

Taking the truck, Jax and I were officially off to the cabin for the entire week.

Maybe longer, depending how smooth sailing everything was going back home.

But, we didn't want to push our luck.

As Jax said, "we'll play it by ear."

Jax kept shifting his attention between the road and his wife due to the fact she was so quiet.

She had an open book on her lap with a dark blue pen in hand.

"It feels like yesterday you were looking at dresses for our fake wedding," Jax chuckled, causing me to chuckle along with him.

"Yeah. Who would've known we would actually end up where we are now?"

"I think everyone did but us, darlin'."

"This is true," I replied, putting my pen down to take his free hand.

He immediately brought my hand to his mouth, placing a kiss on the outside of my hand.

"What kind of reading did you bring for yourself this time?"

I closed the book, lifting it up for him to see.

"I'm looking at baby names. We don't have much time to settle on one since he'll be here soon. I figured I should get a start on it."

"Any names that stand out to you?"

"Hmmm, not yet."

"Why not Jameson? Since you hit the bottle pretty hard last night, it could be a way of you honoring his pending arrival," he teased as I lightly hit him in the arm.

"You're never going to let me forget it, will you?"

"Not at all."

After an hour of driving, we finally arrived at the cabin.

Jax handed me a set of keys after cutting the power to the ignition.

"Go head inside Mel, and make yourself comfortable. I'll unload the truck."

"Are you sure? I don't mind helping."

"I'm sure, babe."

"Okay."

I got out of the car first and made a quick sprint to the door to unlock our temporary love shack.

When I opened the door, I saw a large box of alcohol sitting on the kitchen table with a note attatched to the outside.

I made my way over to the box, yanking the taped note off of it.

Jax and Mel,

Just in case you're in need of some liquid courage when it comes time to create some of those positions from the sexual bible.

-Britt

I smiled, setting the note down next to the box before heading to the bathroom.

I switched on the bathroom to give myself a thorough once over.

That's when a sudden feeling of worry came crashing over me.

I still wore my bandages from the Cara Cara incident and how that would look with the outifts I brought with me.

Would the bandages distract from what I was wearing and just be an unfortunate reminder of what happened to me?

"Mel," Jax called out.

"In here," I replied, opening the bathroom door.

He entered the bathroom, coming up behind me.

He wrapped his arms around my waist, holding me close to him.

Uh fuck.

I could already feel the head of his cock pushing through his jeans.

"Are you okay?", he asked, kissing the side of my neck.

"Maybe we should've waited a while before making a trip up here," I stated, breaking away from him to exit the bathroom.

He immediately followed me, grabbing my hand to stop me from moving any further.

"Wait, what? What's wrong? Talk to me, Mel."

" I'm still healing. These bandages are far from sexy."

He let go of my hand, taking my face in both of his hands.

My eyes immediately fell to the wooden floor.

"Look at me darlin'," he pleaded as his thumbs stroked my cheeks.

I did what I was told, making eye contact with my husband.

"You didn't let those bandages hold you back last night."

"Yeah, because I was drunk. I'm painfully sober right now."

"Mel, I love you. I don't focus on the bandages. I focus on you. I focus on these lips.."

He brought his head down, kissing my lips.

"On this neck.."

He moved his hungry mouth to my neck and began to tongue and suck at the feverish skin.

The mindblowing sensation caused a moan to fall from my mouth.

"You always know what to say. That's a great yet dangerous trait, Jackson Teller," I stated as his hands fell from my face to each side of my hips.

"You haven't seen anything yet," he growled, lifting me up onto him, carrying me the rest of the way to the bedroom.

Day Three:

We were now on our third day at the cabin, and oh let me tell you.

I don't think a single surface has gone untouched by two of us in some unique way.

Without a doubt, there will be a sanitation team required once we leave here to head back to Charming.

Jax and I were now on the couch, of course completely naked with me straddling him.

I had the book Britt supplied me with for this sexual getaway open next to us, reading the directions on how to do the next position we wanted to try out.

"Mel, from the way you're studying this page, this next one is impossible."

"With that kind of attitude, it will be," I replied, giving him a quick kiss on the lips before my eyes automatically went back to the page.

My cellphone began ringing from the bedroom.

"Ah, look at that. Saved by the bell."

I hopped up from Jax's lap, jogging to the bedroom.

I picked up my phone from the nightstand, glancing at the caller id.

Erica.

I immediately answered the phone, bringing it to my ear.

"Erica, is everything okay?"

"Yeah, I can't believe I'm saying this, but my water broke. I'm on my way St. Thomas now."

"Oh my god," I cried out with excitement.

"We're on our way," I added after I composed myself.

"Jax, get dressed!", I yelled as I began to throw on the clothes I wore when we first arrived at the cabin.

"What happened? Is it Abel?", he asked, gathering his own scattered clothing.

"No, it's Erica. Her water broke."

"What? She's two weeks early."

"I know!," I screamed, jumping up for joy.

Then realization hit me.

The nursery that we were planning to set up when we got back home wasn't even set up yet.

"Jesus christ, she's two weeks early," I breathed, taking a seat on the bed.

Fully dressed head to toe, Jax came over to me, grabbing my hand.

"Don't worry about that at the moment, Mel. All we gotta worry about at the minute is getting to St. Thomas on time."

With the grace of god, we ran into no traffic and was able to cut our driving time in half.

Following the directions on where Erica's whereabouts were via text message, We raced to the maternity floor, plowing through a handful of nurses and doctors to reach her.

I knocked on the half open door, peaking in to see Erica's smiling face.

"Hey, that was quick considering where you guys were coming from," she stated as I went over to her to kiss her on the cheek.

"Yeah well, when you have Jax behind the wheel. Being on time is the last worry you will have."

"Where is your other half by the way?"

"He's right outside, calling friends and family. We left in such a rush I forgot my cellphone back at the cabin which is why I had you message Jax instead of me earlier."

"Ah, I see."

"Enough about me. How are you feeling? Am I able to get you anything? Do you want me to call anyone to be here with you?"

"Nope. I have you both. You two are all I need. And, to answer your first question, I personally feel like utter shit, but I'm breathing through the pain."

I took her hand, taking a seat in the empty chair next to her.

"If the pain becomes too much to handle, I will immediately get your doctor to help you. Just say the word."

"Thanks Mel."

"No, thank you," I replied with tears welling up within my eyes.

Eleven and a Half Hours Later:

Jax and I were on each side of Erica holding her hands while she began to push out our son.

"Erica, you're doing great sweethart. Another deep breath, follow by a push okay," her doctor encouraged as she looked up at her.

"O..okay," she stuttered as her head fell back to let out a shaky deep breath.

She did what the doctor instructed her to do, squeezing our hands even harder.

"That was perfect, Erica. One more hard push, and he'll be out."

"You got this darlin'," Jax stated as she gave him a nod.

She delivered the final push and a high pitched cry filled the entire hospital room, moving me to tears.

"Would you like to cut the cord, dad?", the doctor asked Jax who automatically took the shears from her to snip the ambilcal cord.

I gave Erica a huge hug, sliding a few strands of hair out of her face.

"You did amazing."

"Thank you. I wouldn't have without the help of you two."

The nurses finished cleaning up our son and handed him to me wrapped up in a bright blue blanket.

"Hi, baby boy. Welcome to the world."

Jax made his way over to me, kissing me on the side of my head as he looked down at the newest Teller in our family.

I handed our son to Jax before he exited the hospital room.

He made his way to the waiting room where the club, our mothers, Britt, and Abel all remained.

Abel immediately slid off of Linda's lap, being the first to reach his father.

"Can I see him, can I see him? What's his name?", He asked as Jax bent down to show him his baby brother.

"This is Landon. Landon Joseph Teller."

When my mom heard his middle name, she began to sob, bringing me into a firm hug

No one knew of the name choice except Jax and me.

"He's perfect."

" That he is," I agreed.

I hope you all enjoyed the chapter! But, you do know what they say.. This all could be the calm before the storm ;) Xoxo
