Sally POV:
I was not stupid. I knew that Percy was abused. But a little slap and occasional punch wasn't so bad rather than getting mauled to death by a hellhound. Right? I had no idea how wrong I was. Before I could think more, the clip started.
Percy came home late. "Mom! I'm home!" He yelled. Gabe came into view. "She's not home yet." He slurred. "Go get me another pack of beers." "Get it yourself you drunk retard." Percy snapped. Gabe grabbed Percy's hair. "What did you just call me?" Gabe slapped Percy so hard he stumbled. "I'm underage!" Percy yelped. "I can't!" "Gabe pushed Percy away. "Find a way." Gabe snarled.
'Just a slap' I thought nervously.
Percy was at school. He peered at a cannon and reached towards it. He touched it and a cannonball flew out. It hit a bus that exploded. A man marched over. "Perseus Jackson! You are expelled!" Percy hung his head.
Everyone burst out laughing. "You blew up a bus?!" Leo chocked out.
Percy was sitting in the principal's office waiting for a parent to pick him up. Gabe came and snarled to Percy, "Let's go Brain Boy." Percy flinched and went with Gabe. "Shut the door." Gabe commanded. Trembling, Percy did. Gabe took off his belt and commanded Percy to take off his shirt. Gabe raised his belt and brought it on Percy's back. Percy screamed. Gabe grabbed Percy and whispered, "You better stay quiet." He continued doing this and Percy's eyes watered in pain. Finally, Gabe stopped but there was so much blood you could barely see Percy's back. Gabe looked at Percy without remorse. "Remember, you tell you're mom and she gets it."
Oh gods. He put up with all that for me? My poor baby. Percy was sobbing in a corner. We paused the T.V. and turned to Percy who was saying things like, "Hera's a bitch." and "Fuck you Hera." And so, the interrogation began.
