This is a fanfictional story about my new TMNT OC's, a mutant turtle that is part dragon named Naru and a young human girl named Liza. I wanted to get far more into these two and the kind of relationship they build as I put them together and find a supernatural and semi-romantical bond to be a pleasing plot and adorable. I recommend on going and reading on their character bio's before actually reading this story, though, your choice. (Can read their bio's via my Deviantart through my profile and go to toyhouse.)

The TMNT characters are in this, but will not be introduced until further down the road of this story.

Chapter 1: New Beginnings

It was dark, but also not too dark. The name's Liza, or Liz for short, only now to be suddenly waking up in a dark and spooky alleyway within New York City, bustling noises of flying cars above her head passing by and the sounds of a busy city at work every day and night.

It was the year 3000, an advanced society now populating the earth of the mythical themes of Steampunk and Cyberpunk that was thought to never exist or be made into back in the 2000's. Though, there was for sure still no co-existence of strange creatures, or aliens, something humans have always wanted to know were real or not.

But most people also just didn't seem to care, would go on with their own lives, find love, get married, have kids and live a normal life like it's always been. Nothing was interesting despite the advancements, it was normal to Liza and everyone human being in today's history.

Despite all the cool things, like, laser guns, laser firing jets and even rocket powered ships that could travel through space within minutes and back to earth and steam powered vehicles that could literally float and fly around, such as the cars, even trains followed an air set track, things still felt normal and boring.

Though what wasn't normal to her was the fact back in the 2500's is when things started to act weird, such as the earth's atmosphere changed slightly, causing humans and every living creature to age slower on earth. People would stay looking like a teen when they were in their 40's, why was this?

Back in 2500, earth's atmosphere had changed, causing an age difference in all living things on earth. Every living person, plant, whatever it was, would not age to their next age until 4 or 5 years have passed. Liza was only 19, living off her parents income and staying at an apartment tower, trying to find a job for the past few months, only to have no luck.

Liza technically would be over her 30's if not for the strange atmosphere change, though no one else seemed to be bothered by it let alone cared, something everyone got used to over time.

Liza wished she was back in school, she was a popular kid, pretty and beautiful they all called her, even all the guys were attracted to her though she never really fell truly for someone and preferred not too. Even being in the world on how it was back in the 2000's would please her, or even before that with the western times, seemed life was easier.

Standing up, Liza glanced around in the darkish alley she somehow ended up at. Peering at the corner of her eye she noticed a wine bottle laying on the ground and now she remembered, she had gone out to a bar, drinking, realizing she must've gotten drunk and ended up passing out here in an abandoned alleyway.

She wasn't much of a drinker, let alone smoker. She only did these things when she became very stressed and upset, or if something bad happened, and everyday has been hard for her.

Liza let out a small sigh, wiping the dirt and dust from herself after laying on the filthy ground. She turned around ready to take her leave and find her way back home, only to be stopped midway with incoming perverted muggers, or a small gang of guys who immediately noticed her and had smirks on their faces.

"Look, can ya'll not be dumbass's and just leave me be?" Liza asked with a somewhat stern tone, not in the mood with these guys right now. Despite all the guys that tried to hit on her, she never knew any self defense, so she only had herself lowered slightly with her hands up innocently, taking a step back as the men approached slowly.

"Why leave so soon though, we just want some fun." One of the men said, clearly the one in the center, most likely the supposably leader of this small group. "Well I don't, so piss off please." Liza growled, moving away from them more only to find herself against the alley wall and pretty much pinned now.

The supposably leader almost directly in front of her, reached out to grab her with one hand stretched out, still smirking away as his little friends, ranging around 3 or 4 surrounded her so she wouldn't run off.

Liza closed her eyes tightly waiting for the forceful grab, immediately regretting having gone to the bar, drinking and ending up here in an abandoned alleyway of all places. Alleyways were the worst in this city, especially in this time, full of muggers, thieves, homeless, perverted men and criminals hanging around them and using them as homes.

Liza became impatient when the grab never came after the regretful thoughts were flowing through her mind, only to immediately open her eyes when she heard the man wail painfully and loudly.

Left in surprise, eyes widened, Liza noticed someone or something that had dropped down from the roof above her where she was pinned against the wall of. A creature of somesort, she was unsure of what, but what she understood immediately was that this creature was fending off these perverted muggers and helping her.

Liza couldn't see him perfectly clearly, but she could clearly see he had wings that were folded close to him so they didn't take up so much room or get in the way. She also couldn't see his eyes as he clearly peered and slightly looked over his shoulder and at her, wearing some strange eyewear gear that covered his eyes, most likely making sure she was alright.

He had a tight grip on the mugger's wrist, twisting it forcefully to the side, forcing the man down onto one knee as he cried painfully. "What the hell are you!?" One of the men growled, only to get no response and immediately charging Liza's sudden defender.

Liza only stood there, completely confused but also surprised, her day wasn't just getting worse, it was also getting very interesting and strange. The man that attempted to charge only failed miserably when the creature twisted and turned the man forcefully whom he had stopped first, tossing him at the charging man, causing them both to topple to the ground.

One of the other men immediately pulled out a knife in hand, this caused Liza to slightly hesitate and become frightened, and not just for herself. The other two men that surrounded also immediately reacted, though only one other also pulled out a knife while the other just attempted with fists.

These men seemed to have instantly lost interest in Liza, let alone realize she was even still there. They were too pissed off with the sudden appearance of this defender who seemed to want nothing to do with this situation at first.

Instantly seeming to not care at all, she could tell these muggers were child play for this guy, easily countering and blocking their attempted attacks despite two of them having knives.

Only let out a small growl, one of the men stopped, turned and glared at Liza as she immediately jumped slightly noticing this. This man, forming a small smirk on his face immediately was going to try and take the advantage on her, clearly realizing now that this strange being was protecting her despite not knowing her at all.

Though this strange being was distracted with the other two, he had already immediately noticed the third man attempting this action and reacted to it quickly, twisting and lowering himself as one other failed and missed an attack on him, swiping his leg towards the man who turned to face the girl, tripping him forcefully and causing him to faceplant into the solid ground.

"Bastard!" One of them shouted angrily, swinging his knife at the creature and only to be blocked quickly. Though this being had lost almost entire focus for just a second and forgot about the second mugger, immediately also tripping the man he was blocking and turning to the face the second who was charging him in order to dodge or counter.

The blade pointing directly at the opponent managed to cut this creature as he only dodged it by a hair, causing a large gash on his hand. He immediately covered his mouth with a hand and Liza clearly noticed something was wrong, did he not like the sight of blood, or was it something entirely else, despite this, he instantly took out the last standing mugger by knocking him out with just one kick to the neck.

This strange being immediately spread his wings and leaped his way back on top of the roof very quickly, fleeing. "Wait!" Liza instantly cried out to him as she tried to grab and stop him, only to fail with how very fast he was at fleeing to the roof.

Liza stood there for a few seconds, glancing around at all the muggers that now were unconscious or just painfully groaning away on the ground in defeat. Liza only developing a serious look on her face, glanced up at the roof and around it, seeing a ladder that led up to it and immediately pursuing the person who helped her.

Liza peered over the edge and onto the roof as she stayed grabbing and hanging on the ladder, she was hearing small coughing and noticed this person slumped over on his knees, coughing up blood. She immediately jumped slightly when he glanced over at her from his shoulder, already knowing she was there somehow.

Liza didn't hesitate to climb fully onto the roof, she lowered herself and raised her hands steadily, showing him she didn't want to do anything bad nor did she want to scare him off considering he clearly wanted nothing to do with her now that his little rescue mission was done.

"Look, I just wanna help…" Liza began, pointing at the gash on his hand that was continuously bleeding, caused by one of the muggers. He clearly didn't even seem to notice it despite him using that hand to hold himself up slightly as he now was grasping his chest painfully with his other hand.

He only turned his look away from her, lowering his head almost shamefully, Liza knew he risked exposure in order to help her out with those dreadful muggers and all she wanted to do was return it, she didn't care who or what he was, it was the fact of the choice he made to help a complete stranger.

Liza slowly made her way to him, he clearly wasn't going to flee again in his condition, he was still silent and she didn't entirely know why he was coughing up blood and grasping his chest painfully despite the only injury she could see him having was the deep gash on the palm of his left hand. She could now see him more clearly as there was more light on the roof due to the bright moonlight compared to down in the alley, though his eyes were still covered with the gear.

"Shouldn't have followed me." He said to her as she slumped down onto her knees beside him, she glanced at him worriedly, gently grabbing and turning over his injured hand leaving her somewhat surprised as he was allowing her to touch him.

"Why, because you're not human? Whatever the reason, it still doesn't change the fact you helped me, so let me do the same." Liza said somewhat sternly as he clearly just wanted her to leave, she gently soothed her thumb close to the cut, wiping away some of the blood that was now covering most of his palm.

Three fingers, a shell and plastron, it was clear to her based on what was already noticeable is that he was some sort of turtle creature, though what she couldn't understand was the large clearness and fact he had wings and scales, like a dragon and his colors seemed very familiar.

The gash wasn't that deep enough to have stitches, she was no doctor but she at least knew the basics. "You have hemoptysis, don't you?" Liza questioned him as he wiped some of the blood away from his mouth, she knew an injury like this couldn't cause such a scary thing so she already came to conclusion he most likely had hemoptysis which was a medical condition of someone having a disease or infection, resulting into coughing up blood.

Liza became somewhat annoyed, though didn't say anything. He wasn't saying a word anymore after what he said, and he still wouldn't look at her. She only sighed, pulling out a small piece of cloth from her pocket and wrapping it over the gash to slow down the bleeding for a few minutes, it would heal on its own perfectly fine so long as it didn't get infected clearly.

"Look whatever or whoever you are, doesn't matter to me. If you don't want to tell me anything which clearly seems you don't, then so be it…" Liza began, only to be stopped and corrected, "Mutant is what I am." He stated, correcting her.

She knew the term now, it was at least better than calling him some sort of creature. But despite this, mutant, freak, creature, beast, whatever he was, he had to have a name of some sort as even these things could have one.

"Will you… at least tell me your name?" Liza asked him, though only to have him respond in a negative way. He immediately recoiled his hand out of hers and stood up, Liza only followed him with her eyes worriedly and instantly stood up as well as he began to walk off away from her.

"Will you just wait!" Liza cried, grabbing his wrist and stopping him mid walk before he actually took off and he clearly was about too, slowly spreading his wings out.

"Look, just go home ok. You witnessed and saw nothing tonight of me, alright." He slightly growled, it was warning and it was very clear to her that it was. But despite this, he was very gentle and didn't want to hurt or harm her in any way, otherwise he would've done so already like slicing a piece of cake.

He peered over his shoulder at her, finally getting the look she wanted when in close encounter. It was clear to her he was sad, "I'm sorry…" He said sadly, recoiling his wrist from her grip easily. His voice was also gentle, and sweet with what he just said before taking off and leaving her on the rooftop, speechless.
