If the Doctor Could Fly: Season 6

How would episodes or scenes change if the Doctor could fly? It's only a collection of short sections of episodes, but through all the seasons a cohesive storyline emerges as the Doctor discovers more and more about the power of flight. This takes almost encyclopedic knowledge of each episode to appreciate it to its fullest, but that kind of knowledge isn't necessary to enjoy it.

1. Chapter 1: Day of the Moon

"What about Doctor Song?" Canton asked, following Amy into the TARDIS, "She dove off a rooftop!"

"Don't worry, she does that." The Doctor closed the doors and ran to the console. He fiddled with the controls until the TARDIS materialized in the air outside a skyscraper.

The doors opened, revealing River floating casually outside. Canton stared at her, stunned.

"What took you so long?" she asked, floating inside.

"Sorry. Got trapped in an inescapable prison. So annoying when that happens."

River sighed with annoyance. "Tell me about it."

Canton pointed at her, barely able to speak. "She can fly?!"

"Like I said. She does that," the Doctor said.

The Doctor gave up and ran into the TARDIS. River spun around, firing at the Silence, slaughtering them. She flew into the air, still spinning and shooting. The Silence fell dead all around her. She stopped shooting and floated in the air, breathing hard. She gently floated to the ground. Rory stood in the TARDIS doorway, staring at her in amazement.

She twirled her gun into a holster. "My old fella didn't see that, did he? He gets ever so cross."
