"Alfie, why is there a sinister beep coming from behind me?" the Doctor asked the baby in his arms. He slowly turned to see the metal Cybermat, chomping its metal teeth at him from the doorway. "Oh, no you don't," the Doctor said, zapping it with his sonic screwdriver, "Come on, Alfie. Run! It's only stunned!" He jumped into the air and flew over it and down the steps.
Alfie seemed stunned, but quickly recovered and began to cry.
The Doctor flew past the kitchen. "Oh! You don't like that? I'm sorry. It's going to be okay. Good, Alfie. We're going to go outside. Don't worry about it." He landed and struggled to open the door while holding a baby and a sonic screwdriver.
The door opened and closed behind him, locked. He realized he'd dropped the sonic screwdriver inside. Alfie felt better that they were on the ground.
The Doctor quickly pulled out his mobile phone and called Craig. "Come on, Craig, pick up, pick up, pick up, pick up!"
The phone beeped for the Doctor to leave a message.
"Craig, don't worry, Alfie is fine, but on no account enter the house."
"Doctor!" a muffled voice shouted.
It sounded like Craig. The Doctor turned to see Craig on the floor, struggling with the Cybermat, holding it inches from his neck.
"No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no!" the Doctor shouted.
"Help me!" Craig shouted.
The Doctor quickly sat Alfie in the baby swing and jumped into the air. He flapped his arms hard, flying straight up, much higher than the house. He fell backwards and pinned his arms to his sides, falling straight down. He spread his arms just before he hit the ground and shot through the glass door, grabbing the sonic screwdriver off the ground. He landed and slid on his hands and knees.
"Where's Alfie?! Where's Alfie?!" Craig panicked, still struggling with the Cybermat.
"He's safe! He's safe!" the Doctor shouted, standing up. He aimed the sonic screwdriver at the Cybermat.
"Get it off me!"
"I have to find the right frequency, shut it down!"
