Sam opened his eyes to see that he was not in a hotel room with Yumi anymore. Instead he was in a on a catwalk that lead to double doors. He had his exoskeleton suit on with his Murasama. He didn't know what to think. Was this reality or just a dream? Behind him were pieces of world marshal guards. He approached the doors and opened them. He was on a roof, maybe the roof of the World Marshal HQ Building. He walked onto the helipad and saw someone. Someone who he wanted dead. Senator Steven Armstrong, the Governor of Colorado... Then he heard someone speak. It wasn't Armstrong but it sounded like his late Father... "Behind you Sam..."
Sam turned around looking back at where he came from to see a woman with black eyes and red pupils and snow colored skin looking at him. They stared at each other then he blinked. She was gone. Sam looked back at where Armstrong was standing to see that he was still there.
"Who was that?" Sam wanted to get an answer but everything around the building started to fade away into shards and Sam closed his eyes again. Then he heard the voice of his Father say one last thing before he woke up.
"Get. To. Vale."
Sam had opened his eyes and saw that Yumi was awake and was watching cartoons on the TV. He checked the clock. 6:37 PM, Sam had been asleep for over just eight hours. He checked the side of his bed and saw his Murasama and Exoskeleton Suit by the wall he put the items there last night. "So I am stuck here...". Sam said to himself not realizing that Yumi was looking at him now.
"Stuck where Sam?" Yumi turned off the TV and started to roll towards Sam using the office chair in the Hotel Room.
"Ah, it's nothing. Just a dream that I was having." Sam replied to Yumi, getting up and walking towards the bathroom.
"Oh... what was your dream about?" Yumi asked Sam but she got no reply. He was already in the bathroom. Yumi started spinning around in the office chair. Then she rolled towards the window. She could see the swimming pool from her window. She was bored like any child would be. Yumi eventually rolled back over to the TV and turned it back on. She could hear the shower turn on in the bathroom. Yumi had already taken a shower when she woke up and changed from her blue dress to some jeans and a grey long sleeve shirt. She had woken up about forty minutes before Sam. It had been about eight minutes since Sam started taking a shower. Yumi was a bit hungry but she thought that Sam would get mad and hit her if she left the room because that's what her dad used to do. She then looked at Sam's sword and Exoskeleton suit. What really caught her attention was the sword. From what she could remember was that the sword was glowing red. She picked up the sheath with the sword still in it she tried pulling it out but then a holographic message appeared on the blade's handle. "ID LOCK.". Yumi attempted to pull out the blade again only to get the same message. "ID LOCK.".
"Hey, what are you doing?". Sam had just came out of the bathroom. His hair not in his normal ponytail, he was wearing the clothes that he went to sleep. He walked over and grabbed the sheath from Yumi. "You could've hurt yourself with this, luckily it's ID locked to me." Sam said in a scolding voice.
"I'm sorry, please don't hurt me..." Yumi said in a scared voice.
"Hey, hey, I won't hurt you. Why did you think I would do that?" Sam asked Yumi in a slightly concerned voice.
"Well whenever me, my brother or my momma would do anything he didn't like... he hit us. I remember one time when he locked me in a closet as a punishment an, and said that the Grimm would eat me if I didn't listen..." Yumi started tearing up at the thought of her family. Sam sat down next to her and pat her back trying to cheer her up.
"Now, now, it's okay. I'm not like your father. Uh think of me like an uncle or something. I'll tell you what, let's find something to eat before it gets too dark, what do you think?" Sam said trying to cheer her up.
"Oh, okay... Sam..." Yumi said, her tears drying up and a smile started to appear on her face.
Sam put back on his suit and turned it on. He then put the Murasama by his side. He opened the door and Yumi walked out. Sam walked out and locked the door behind them. They went down to the lobby and out of the front doors. "Hey Yumi, where is your cousin's home and does she live alone?" Sam asked Yumi this question. He didn't want to take Yumi with him to Vale. He wasn't the one to take care of someone especially a child as young as Yumi.
"Oh, oh, oh! She lives over here! Follow me! Also she lives by herself." Yumi grabbed Sam's arm and started to run to the other part of town. Then they made it. It wasn't a small house but it wasn't large either. Yumi knocked on the door. No answer, Yumi knocked again. No answer. Sam walked up to the door to knock but before he could knock the door opened and almost hit Hana in the face.
"Hey! You almost hit me!" Hana yelled at Sam.
"Maybe you should've answered the door quicker and you would've never been almost hit." Sam responded why looking down at the girl who was about six inches shorter than him.
"So are you ready?" Yumi grabbed at Hana's shirt, tugging it a bit to get her attention.
"Ready for what?" Sam responded.
"I'll be ready tomorrow morning." Hana replied to Yumi's question while kneeling down to her height. "Here come in, I was in the middle of cooking dinner and there should be enough for the two of you!" Hana said to both Sam and Yumi. Yumi ran inside past Hana and sat down on Hana's couch. "You coming in Mr. I Take Down A Deathstalker While Not Even Knowing What Grimm Is?" Hana asked in a sarcastic tone.
"You know what!" Sam said in a quiet defiant tone. "Fine... I'll come in..." Sam's defiant tone turned into one of quiet defeat. Sam wasn't all that hungry, even though he hadn't eaten in a day and the day before he went to World Marshall HQ but it would've been disrespectful to not come in.
"Great! Come on in!" Hana said with a happy smile on her face. She walked in and started setting the table. Sam walked in after her and closed the door. He detached his sheath and placed it by the couch. He sat down on the couch that Yumi was on. She was reading some of the comics that Hana had left on the table. Sam picked up the remote and turned on the television.
"The Fortieth Vytal Festival is almost here! It starts in less than two weeks! Make sure you buy your tickets soon before they run out to reserve your seats!" Sam turned off the TV.
Sam got up from the couch. "I'll be back..." Sam placed Murasama by his side.
"Hey where are you going? The stew is almost done, and you're just going to leave?" Hana asked Sam while crossing her arms.
"Yes. Couldn't have said it better myself." Sam opened the door and walked out. Sam walked from Hana's house and back into the small shopping district of the town. 'I'll be running out of electrolyte packs soon... If Yumi is correct, I might be able to use this Dust she was talking about... I might also need some more .223 blanks...'. Sam thought to himself while approaching a Dust shop. 'Dusty's Old Dust Shop...'. Sam walked in, it looked like an old country store. There were containers of what he assumed was dust. There were also crystals.
"Hey, you must be the Huntsman who took out that Deathstalker. I want to let you know that the town thanks you for that." The shopkeeper spoke to Sam, he looked older than Sam, maybe in his late forties or early fifties. "Well what do you need, we've got fire dust, ice dust, lightning-" The shopkeeper was interrupted by Sam.
"I'll take one of these lightning dust crystals.". Sam said while looking at the other dust types.
"You sure you want the dust crystal? They're pretty dangerous but you're a huntsman and you probably already knew that.". Sam placed a lien card on the counter and the shopkeeper handed him a lightning dust crystal. "Now you be careful with that, I don't want you getting-" Sam crushed the crystal in his left hand.
"Hm, not as effective as a electrolyte pack but it'll do. Now... I'd like to get some lightning dust but in a vial..." The shopkeeper couldn't believe his eyes, never in his life had he seen someone crush a crystal in his hands. He grabbed a vial and walked over to the lightning dust dispenser and filled it. He then gave Sam the vial who crushed it in his hands again. "Same story but these vials would be easier to carry. I'll take ten more."
Sam walked out of the store, his suit's left side storage compartment was filled with vials of lightning dust, Repair Nanopaste, and the last of his Electrolyte Packs. His right side storage compartment still had his Frag Grenades, EMP Grenades, RP Grenades, and Jam Grenades. However he didn't have any Rocket Launchers or Homing Missile Launchers. Sam was set and sprinted back to Hana's house. People who were still out saw him disappear in a blink of an eye. He had made it back to Hana's house. He knocked on the door and Hana went to open it.
"You're back, come back in." Hana said while pointing to the dining room where Sam could see Yumi already eating her dinner. Sam and Hana walked to the dining room. Before he sat down he put his Murasama on the coffee table. "So why'd you leave?" Hana asked.
"Needed to check if something worked." Sam responded to Hana's question.
"Well did it work?" Hana replied while eating,
"Yes, it worked but it's not as good as an Electrolyte pack." Sam replied again.
"Electrolyte Pack? What are you talking about? Like electrolytes in an energy drink?" Hana questioned.
"My suit uses these Packs to refuel its fuel cells. Sam opened his storage compartment and pulled out one of his remaining Electrolyte Packs. Then he pulled out one of the vials of lightning dust. "These vials of lightning dust only refuel half of what the Electrolyte Packs usually refuel." Sam answered Hana's question. Sam started his meal, nothing too fancy. Sam didn't know much about cooking but from the looks of the stew he assumed that it was some sort of Brunswick Stew.
"So you're not a cyborg..." Hana said while chuckling a little bit.
"Did Yumi tell you I was a cyborg?" Sam asked while momentarily not eating his stew.
Hana and Yumi started giggling. "Maybe she did, maybe she didn't...".
The night went on pretty peacefully after that. When they were done eating they sat around the coffee table. Hana brought out a board game called Remnant: The Game. Sam was uninterested in playing it but he just couldn't say no to Yumi's eyes. He just couldn't. He took over the world while playing as Mistral once. Yumi got close to defeating him with her Atlesian Air Fleet but he countered them with his Giant Nevermore. Vale (Hana) got conquered early on during the game because Atlas (Yumi) and Mistral (Sam) teamed against her so she didn't have that much fun. After playing a couple more games with them, Yumi and Hana went to bed. Sam was still awake. 'Maybe I shouldn't have rented an extra night at that inn.'. Sam reattached his Murasama and went out the door. He went back into town. His plan was to head to a library of some kind and research the world he had found himself in however it was too late. So Sam went to the fountain in the middle of town and sat down on a bench. He was thinking, observing the night sky. 'Who was that woman in my dream..?' Something about her gave Sam goosebumps. Then his mind scrambled towards another thought he was having. 'Why am I even here..?'. He had thought of this question before. When his father was killed by the Cartel. When he almost destroyed the Cartel. When he killed ten men with just his Murasama, no High Frequency Blade, no Advanced Exoskeleton Suit... Then his thoughts were interrupted by a voice.
"Hey, mind if I sit here?" The man asked. Sam looked up, he had a blade sheathed on the back of his waist. He looked a little bit older than Sam, Sam was only thirty three. He looked to be thirty eight.
"Sure, this isn't my bench anyway so it's not my place to judge who can sit and who can't sit." Sam chuckled a bit. The man sat down next to him and pulled out a flask. He drank a bit out of it. From what Sam could tell it was most likely whiskey. "So, what's your name?"
"Name's Qrow... What about you?" The man took another drink from his flask.
"Samuel, but most people just call me Sam. So are you a huntsman?" Sam said while looking up at the night sky.
"Yeah, I'm headed to Vale for the Vytal festival. What about you? Heard from the townsfolk that some cyborg ninja took out a Deathstalker near here and brought back the stinger to prove it and it just so happens you fit the bill of that cyborg ninja, Are you a huntsman as well?" Qrow took another drink from his flask then he closed it and put it away.
"I did take down that Deathstalker but I am not a Huntsman, I used to be a mercenary for a while, now I just wander the world, dispensing justice but only to those who deserve it. Such as outlaws, desperados." Sam said while keeping his hand close to his Murasama just in case this Qrow guy did anything suspicious. "So Qrow? I come from Mistral and this is my first time traveling in Vale, I was hoping that you could tell me how far the Capital is from this town?"
"First time in Vale Huh..." Qrow knee he was telling the truth. After all he watched him appear from out of nowhere fighting a giant robot in the middle of the forest. He notified Ozpin of this strange man's arrival and the giant robot he sliced in half already. "Well... Vale is far from here, only about one hundred and fifty miles away from here, if you follow the east road out of town you'll eventually make it.".
Sam was thinking, one hundred fifty miles... he could make it to Vale in less than half a day. "So what are you doing in the small town away from Vale?" Sam asked Qrow before getting up.
"I was sent here to find the huntsman who went missing. Found him in that Deathstalker's cave... poor bastard. Well I best be off. Perhaps I'll see you later, maybe not." Qrow got up and started walking to the eastern gate that lead out of town.
"He looks like he's seen his fair share of near death experiences... maybe we will see each other again, maybe not. Only history can tell." Sam got up and went back to the Inn to gather Yumi's and Sam's belongings. If he knew he could've just stayed at Hana's house he wouldn't have bought the room. Sam made it back to Hana's house with all of their belongings without getting that much attention from people in the town. To his surprise the door was unlocked. He opened the door and to find that Yumi was still asleep. However Hana was awake watching the news.
"So where'd you go Samurai Sam?" Hana asked while looking at the news.
"Samurai Sam... That's a new one. I was trying to get to the library and do some reading." Sam responded as he took off Murasama and it's sheath and placed it back in the coffee table. He sat down to the sleeping Yumi on the couch.
"Right... because people who are cyborgs and bring a katana where ever they go just goes out at 9:42 PM just to read some books... right." Hana said in a sarcastic tone. She looked back at the News. She sighed. "Looks like another Dust store was robbed, and they left the lien again...".
"Why wouldn't they take the lien?" Sam asked Hana.
"I don't know... I should probably get some sleep. We've got a pretty long car ride ahead of us." She said as she turned off the TV and proceeded to get up and walk to her room. "Good night Sam. You should try to get some rest soon as well."
"I'll try, no promises though. Good night Hana." Sam sat there on the couch and closed his eyes with his arms crossed. Slowly drifting back to sleep even though he had woken three hours ago.
He opened his eyes to see that he wasn't in the house. He was back on top of World Marshall HQ. There he saw... another Sam walking away from Armstrong who was laying down on the helipad. He started to get up.
"What the hell are you?" The other Sam asked Armstrong in a tone of disgust.
"We could use a man like you, Sam. Organized Violence, waging war as a business. We're going to put an end to all of that bullshit." Armstrong said while making hand motions.
"Maybe... maybe I misjudged you." Sam said.
"Well, how bout it? Well you lend us a hand?" Armstrong said with both of his arms in the air.
"A hand, eh... how about I take yours!" The other Sam charged at Armstrong and tried attacking but Armstrong's nanomachines made it impossible to truly hurt him... or so Armstrong thought. Armstrong kept blocking with his arms. Now Sam was on the defensive. Stepping back with parrying Armstrong's arms. Sam saw what the other Sam was doing. He was seeing how fast his nanomachines would harden.
'Smart... I would've done the exact same thing... seeing that we're the same person.' Sam chuckled internally while watching The other Sam fight Armstrong. Armstrong got a few punches in, Sam's head wasn't protected by the suit so it hurt like hell. He was pushing The other Sam back. Just as Armstrong was about to go for another punch, Sam watched The other Sam sheathed his Murasama. Sam knew what was going to happen. Before Armstrong's nanomachines could harden The other Sam pressed the trigger and his Murasama flew out of the sheathe at a blinding speed. He successfully severed Armstrong's right arm. Armstrong screamed in pain. Both Sam's chuckled, one internally, one externally. However what they didn't see coming would give World Marshall a hand... Armstrong hardened his stump and stabbed it straight through the Exoskeleton Suit and straight through The other Sam's right arm. The other Sam screamed out in pain as he lost his arm, blood spilling everywhere.
"Not bad son..." Armstrong said while looking at his arm. The other Sam kept pressure on his wound, it hurt like hell. Perhaps this was the day he was supposed to die on. A day he avoided because for some odd reason he was teleported to the middle of nowhere on a different planet. "But... like Monsoon said." Armstrong picked up the other half of his arm. "Losing a limb or two won't stop us. His severed half of his arm reconnected with the other half.
"The hell?" The other Sam looked at Armstrong. He felt hopeless, a feeling he had never felt before.
Armstrong walked up to The other Sam. "The job's yours, welcome aboard!" Armstrong right hand came forward. The final insult. The other Sam looked at his severed right arm. He understood the insult... He started chuckling, then Armstrong started chuckling then they both started laughing.
Sam couldn't believe what he had just seen. Was this going to happen if he didn't get sent here. He couldn't imagine himself joining with Armstrong... no this made him hate Armstrong even more. If he ever made it back, he would kill him... then he heard his father's voice again... "Vale...". Everything went black.
Sam closed his eyes then opened them to see that he was still asleep on the couch. Yumi was still asleep and Hana was as well. Sam looked at the clock, 2:07 AM. Sam knew this was the best opportunity to leave. Yumi was in good hands with her cousin. Sam felt a bit guilty leaving in the middle of the night but it needed to be done. He didn't want to take care and watch out for her. He wrote a note and left it on the table.
I have to leave, I may not come back. I need to do something, go somewhere. Hana take care of Yumi for me. I feel like she likes me more than she does you but you are her cousin. Part of her family. I only happened to be passing through her village before I found her. If we do meet again, you and Yumi can punch me in the stomach for breaking her promise. Goodbye...
Sam put his Murasama on his side and went out the door. He walked down the street and went to the eastern gate. Sam jumped over the wall not alerting the gate guards and walked in the tree line before heading on the main road meanwhile a crow watched from on top of a tree... Qrow turned back into his human form and took out his scroll.
Hey Oz, it's me Qrow... Turns out his name is Samuel. He says he's from Mistral which is bullshit and that he is a mercenary which I think is also bullshit. I think he's some Atlas project gone rogue but that's not the point of this message. He's heading to Vale and with the speed he's running at he'll make it there before the day begins. He might become a threat, might become an ally. When he gets in Vale, keep a close eye on him.
Hours had passed and Sam didn't feel tired yet. Sure he could run fast but he wanted to fit in. He would kill for his motorcycle right now. He kept his speed steady, fast enough that he can outrun most Grimm but slow enough that he could still look at the side of the road. Mainly it was lush green forests, a little bit of swamp in between. He did pass by a large lake however. There he stopped for a bit. Sam looked at his reflection, then he looked at the horizon. The moon was slowly setting. Sam got up from the side of the lake and got back onto the road. To his surprise there wasn't anyone traveling this country road. Sam soon got onto a road where there were actual cars driving on the road. Sam could see their faces as he passed them. What surprised him was the color of the trees by the road. They looked autumn colored. All the other trees he passed were still fully green. Then he saw the city of Vale. It was bigger than the town he left Yumi in and perhaps even a bigger than Denver. He saw the entrance, this city also had an checkpoint of some type. Ones for cars and ones for people on foot. 'They're probably going to ask for an ID some kind...' Sam didn't have any ID on him. It was 6:00 in the morning and Sam came up with a plan. When the guards were distracted by another person he scaled the wall silently. He jumped off the wall and into the city of Vale. He walked around the alley until he made it back onto the road past the checkpoint. Sam looked around, it looked as if he was in a commercial district of the city. People were walking around and shops were beginning to open. People looked at Sam but he paid no attention. He heard stuff about Atlas and other things involving him and Atlas. He didn't care or know much about this Atlas other than they had a strong military.
Sam continued down the road until he heard an explosion. He ran to where it came from and so did other people. It was in what looked to be a city square. 'A terrorist attacked perhaps?' Sam looked around to see if anyone could've caused this. Then he saw four people laying in the crater. More people came to check out the commotion. Sirens started blaring. The four people started to look around and one of them looked at Sam. A girl in black and red. Then the ground started to rumble as if there was an earthquake and before Sam could ask any questions like are you alright the ground burst open. Hundreds of Grimm poured out of the open hole. Beowulfs, Ursi, Deathstalkers and King Taijitus started coming out of the hole. People started running, screaming. Grimm seemingly avoided Sam and the four girls. Instead they went for the civilians. Maybe it was because Sam kept a cool face. Until an Ursa started approaching Sam. "Well... looks like we have a challenger." Sam unsheathed his blade and sliced the Grimm in half before it could even roar at him. Sam wiped the blood off of his blade before getting into a combat stance. "Well then... let's dance!"
Start Playing "Red Sun"
A Beowulf charged at Sam. Sam sidestepped the Grimm causing it to trip. Sam then jumped into the air and onto the Grimm stabbing it in the back of its head. Sam heard another Grimm behind him. Sam stabbed the Grimm behind him before kicking it into another Grimm knocking it down. The four people got up and Sam looked at them. "Hey you four! If you're going to stay you better fight, if not then stop standing there and run!" Sam yelled at them while slicing an Ursa in half. Most of the Grimm now we're focused on Sam.
"Get up Blake! We've got to help him!" The Yellow Girl helped get The Black Girl on her feet. She looked around before unsheathing her own weapon. Then she looked at Sam who was fighting against Multiple Grimm. She saw the way he fought, swift and aggressive. He dodged a Beowulf linger and kicked it into the air before jumping on an Ursa gain some air only the slice the Beowulf in half in mid air and then he dropped to the ground and sliced the Ursa in half. Then she saw the red blade and the sheath... She could only think of one thing. Adam Taurus... "Blake snap out of it. We have to fight!" The four of them got ready and started to help Sam against the Grimm.
Sam came face to race against the King Taijitu. It didn't even prove to be an even match against Sam. Sam jumped into the air and put his blade back into its sheath before pulling the trigger slicing it in half. Sam then jumped onto a wall launching himself to another horde of Grimm. He sliced and diced everything in his path. All while watching the four girls fight. He looked at them while fighting and saw they couldn't be older than seventeen or eighteen especially the one in red. He saw the weapons they used. The Red Girl used a Scythe/Rifle type weapon. The White Girl used some sort of Rapier that used different dust. The Black Girl used a cleaver-like sword that changed into a katana, and a gun. The Yellow Girl used gauntlets that we're loaded with some sort of shotgun shells. Sam didn't pay it any more attention than that. Sam put his Murasama back in his sheath and dashed forward before unsheathing it and killing twelve more Grimm. Then he came across a Deathstalker who he was about to stab until another girl who was falling from the air smacked it with her hammer.
"The hell?" She jumped back towards the other people in the city square. Sam looked behind him to see that there were four other people fighting. One of them looked like a Spartan and another looked like some kid wearing a hoodie and some plate armor with a sword and a shield. He and the Spartan girl looked at him slicing in random directions against a Ursa. What surprised Sam the most was that it fell. He looked until he heard a Beowulf behind him which he stabbed without looking away from the people in the city square. The Spartan Girl looked at him and noticed how he didn't have an aura of some kind but he was fighting with such great speed and power. Sam kept fighting taking his attention off of the kids who were fighting in the middle of town square and onto the two other Deathstalkers. "Well... come on then, I'll show you what happens when you mess with Minuano..." He double jumped into the air and dashed behind one of the Deathstalkers and activated Blade Mode and started to slice off its tail. Then he jumped into the air and onto the back of the Deathstalker and with one swift stab it was dead. Sam then dodged to the side to avoid the other Deathstalker's stinger. He jumped onto the ground and kicked the fading Deathstalker's body at the other Deathstalker stunning it momentarily. Sam took this opportunity to slice off its stinger. He then activated blade mode and started to slice it into hundreds of pieces. He jumped back towards the people in the city square causing them to momentarily look at him. Sam pulled out a lightning dust vial and crushed it in his hands recharging his fuel cells to half of it's capacity. The White Haired girl looked at him in shock seeing what just happened. Then two other people appeared almost out of nowhere.
"Nobody move! Junior detectives!" The one wearing an opened button up shirt pulled out a badge.
The blue haired one pulled out a badge as well. "We have badges so you know it's official!"
Sam couldn't take them seriously and kept fighting killing seven more Grimm extremely quickly. Then he heard the roars of engines up in the sky and saw what looked to be a flying warship... 'What the hell...' He watched as they fired their chain guns at the Grimm. He made glances at the sky while fighting and saw multiple smaller ships started to fly out of the warship and several android type robots carrying rifles started firing at the Grimm. Then while he was in the middle of slicing off a Ursa's head. Then he saw another ship come and four individuals came out of it. He paid it no mind and kept fighting. He dashed toward a Deathstalker and sliced it in half using his sheath.
"Hey that was my kill!" The girl in the beret yelled out at Sam while knocking away Grimm.
"Well you know what they say... The early bird gets the worm!" Sam yelled out while dashing towards another pack of Grimm. Then he saw what looked like a mech come out of the ground though it wasn't a metal gear. Sam sliced three Grimm in half in one swift strike. Then he saw another person with what seemed to be a riding crop in her hand. She was somehow fixing all the damage that was done to everything. 'The hell?'. It seemed as if the fighting was over. Sam grabbed another vial and crushed it bringing his fuel cell capacity close to maximum. Sam sheathed his Murasama.
End "Red Sun"
'Well... I guess I'm done here.' He started to walk away as if nothing happened until he heard some shouting in his direction.
"Hey You!" Sam turned around to see the Woman with the Riding Crop walking towards him. He was thinking of unsheathing his Murasama just in case but decided not to. "You need to come with me."
"And if I refuse?" Sam asked in a smug voice.
"If you refuse I'll have to take you in via force. Look around you, there are AK-200s and multiple huntsmen and huntresses in training." She said looking down at Sam pointing her Riding Crop at him.
"I like those odds..." Sam said in a mocking voice getting ready to quickdraw his Murasama to slice her arm clean off but then he was interrupted by the sounds of another ship and a voice of a man.
"Now now, everyone stay calm." Sam turned around to see a man exiting his aerial vehicle. "My name is Ozpin... and it's finally nice to meet you Samuel..."
"Who the hell told you my name?!" Sam pulled out his Murasama and got into a combat stance.
"We mean you no harm Samuel. You've already met Qrow in that town one hundred and fifty miles away from here. He's the one who told me. We just want to ask you some questions. That's all." Ozpin said while taking a sip of his coffee. If you come with us we can talk, give you a place to stay while you're in Vale. Just come with us."
Sam was thinking. He could attempt to escape or he could go with Ozpin. He slowly unsheathed his Murasama and put his hands in the air. "Fine... I'll come."
Sam got in the Bullhead with Ozpin and the Blonde Woman. "So you must be wondering who we are. Like I've already said, my name is Ozpin. I am the Headmaster of Beacon Academy. This is Glynda Goodwitch, she is the Headmistress of Beacon Academy."
"I'm pretty sure Qrow already told you who I am. I'm just wandering the world, dispensing justice." Sam said while keeping his hand on the handle of Murasama.
The rest of the flight was relatively uneventful. Then they had made it to beacon. "Welcome to Beacon Academy, Samuel." Ozpin said while getting out of the bullhead.
Sam looked at his surroundings. 'This doesn't look like a school at all. This looks like a castle or a palace...' Sam followed Ozpin and Glynda into the school. The inside looked more like a school. There were lockers and classrooms. Sam, Ozpin, and Glynda went into the elevator. Ozpin pressed the button that would take him to the office.
They went into the office Ozpin day in his chair and Glynda stood behind him. "Please take a seat Samuel." Ozpin pointed at one of the chairs. Sam sat down in the chair though he did have to remove his sheath from his suit and put it on his lap in order to do so. "So Qrow told us that you were a Mercenary from Mistral, Am I correct?"
"I was a mercenary from Mistral." Sam said to Ozpin.
"Well, we'd like you to explain this..." Glynda pulled out a file and opened it. Showing pictures of Sam battling the Metal Gear Ray in the middle of the forest. "We know that you're not a mercenary. We know that you're not some rogue atlas experiment either." Glynda said in a serious tone looking at Sam with a glare that would kill most men.
Then Ozpin spoke up. "Qrow said he saw you appear from thin air with that machine. I find this hard to believe but Qrow has never lied to us before..."
Sam looked at the pictures, then at Ozpin and Glynda. "Well... I don't know how to say this but I'm not from this world. I was fighting that Metal Gear then in a blink of an eye I was transported here. I don't know how I got here but it's been fun at least."
"Metal Gear?" Ozpin asked.
"Its a weapon used by the armies of my world." Sam said.
"Hmm... are there any Grimm and such on your world?" Ozpin asked being intrigued by the man in front of him.
"No. We don't have Grimm." Sam responded bluntly.
"Well Samuel... we saw you take out over a hundred Grimm in Vale today and you fight with speeds and power of most professional huntsmen. We could use someone of your skill here in Beacon." Ozpin said placing his cup of coffee on the desk. "We also figured out that you don't have an aura... we could help you with unlocking it. All you have to do is stay here in Beacon and train the next generation of Huntsmen and Huntresses. So what do you say? Do we have a deal?" Ozpin put his hands together waiting for a response.
"You know what..." Sam stood up and put his sheath on his side. "Fine. We have a deal." Sam extended his hand and Ozpin extended his hand. They shook each other's hands.
"Samuel before you leave take one of these." Ozpin handed him a Scroll. "It will tell you where your living quarters are." Sam took it and put it in his storage compartment. "And once again... welcome to Beacon."
How are you guys doing? I'm doing pretty good since Thanksgiving Break started. Black Ops Cold War has already gotten boring and I've finally beat Ultra Nightmare in The Ancient Gods DLC. That's all I wanted to say, I hope you guys have a wonderful rest of your day or night.
