Chapter 4:

I soon proceeded down the path directly in front of me and saw that there were a couple different outposts. One was made out of cardboard and made by Papyrus, as he signed it and said he would be a famous Royal Guardsman. And after only a little bit more, until I got to another outpost that looked like a dog house, I got a call on my cell phone from a number I didn't recognize. I answered it and spoke into it.

"Hello?" I asked.

"u-Um... t-this is... oh god, help... um... I want t-to order a... um... a pizza?" said a very nervous, yet cute sounding female on the other end of the phone, me smiling at her.

"Um... apologies, but I think you have the wrong number, ma'am... but I think I could try to make one when I get the time... no guarantees on when it'll be delivered though," I said, the voice on the other end seeming to get a bit nervous at that, but I heard a sigh afterwards.

"O-Okay... um... I want a medium pizza... w-with pepperoni... uh, olives... and bacon... and c-could you m-make the cheese be ch-cheddar instead of mozzarella?... C-Can you do that?" the girl on the other end asked.

"Sure, I can probably make that easily. So where should I deliver it to?" I asked her with a smile.

"U-Um... the lab in Hotland... j-just ring the doorbell a-and knock three times after... I'll come to get it after..." the voice said, me smirking at that.

"Okay then. And like I said, no guarantees on the specific time it'll be there by, but I'll try my best, okay?" I smiled.

"S-Sure... o-okay... bye," the voice said as they then hung up and I could hear Chara speaking in my head again.

"That girl who called you was Doctor Alphys, the Royal Scientist for Asgore and the leader of a human-loving fan club. She's also a complete recluse for reasons I'm sure you'll find out about when you meet her face-to-face," Chara said, me smiling at that as we then moved forward... only to get stopped by a dog who threw a knife into the ground mere inches from my foot! And he was inside of the doghouse on top of that!

"What was that?! Did somethin' move? I can't see nothin' if it can't move," he said, me frowning at this before I saw a stick on the ground and I picked it up, the dog immediately sending my soul out to try and attack it, but I simply threw the stick over to the west and the dog saw it and I smiled at the stupidity that followed. "Wha! A stick! Gotta get it!" the dog said with excited barks and yips as he leaped from the doghouse and slammed his paw into the stick shortly after, me hiding on the other side of the house and him being shocked.

"Dammit, where'd that human go? I was so close with that first hit, too..." the dog groaned as I then spoke.

"Apologies, mister dog, but I don't want to be killed. I just got a call from an important person to give them a pizza and I don't want to break the promise I made to her," I said on the other side of the hut, the dog frowning at that and simply going to the east until he found me on the other side.

"And who was this girl that called ya? Ya aren't plannin' on doin' her in or nothin', are ya?" the dog asked as he grabbed the knife off of the ground.

"The person is question was Alphys, the Royal Scientist. She called me because she wanted a pizza and I agreed to make one and deliver it to her. But I'd need to be kept alive in order to do that... and besides, if I really did want to kill her, don't you think I would've done the same to you by now?" I asked, the dog looking around a bit before then focusing back onto me.

"You make a very fair point, miss. Then why'd that flower say otherwise?" the dog asked.

"Because he fears my strength and wants me dead. Just one attack from me could demolish the barrier all at once, if I decided to do so... but if it were an attack that was directed at another monster with the intent to kill them? It'd end up destroying the entire universe because my soul is a billion times stronger than a normal human soul," I said, the dog frowning at that before sniffing me with his nose and then me seeing him look worried.

"Y-You're truthful... the strength in that soul... it's unheard of! Why tell me this? I'm part of the Royal Guard, after all. It's my duty to hunt humans down," the dog said.

"So you can spread the word that I plan to destroy the barrier, but only if the king calls off his plans to destroy all humankind. Trust me, there are other worlds out there with humans far worse than the ones in this world," I said, the dog frowning at that before then holstering his knife and then grunting.

"Fine, I'll spread word to the others to let up on trying to catch ya. An' that the flower is a lyin' weed an' all that. Just be careful from here on out. I'd hate for that plan of yours to fall flat. By the way, name's Doggo," he said.

"I'm Frisk. Nice to meet you," I smirked as Doggo then snorted from his nose like dogs do and then rushed off down the path ahead of me. I then walked forward a bit more and saw that Sans was waiting by what looked like a small ice patch and he looked at me with a smile... in fact, I don't think I ever saw him frown since I first met him, even when he was in his angriest at Chara.

"heya, kid. how's things been going so far?" Sans asked.

"Well, two monsters have heard of a certain someone's lies and I convinced them I was a good person. They said they'll try to spread word of it and went off ahead," I said.

"i see... just wanted to let you know, there are certain monsters around here that know how to use colored attacks. if you encounter a blue attack, you gotta stay completely still. for orange ones, constantly move through those ones. if you're hit by a green attack, you'll be unable to move, but you'll still be able to turn in place and you get a shield that appears directly in your line of sight. and purple attacks make it so you can only move side-to-side. So be careful when fighting a foe, cause if that flower has his way, they'll all be pulling out all the stops to get you dead," Sans said, me nodding at that.

"Thanks for the information, Sans," I smiled as I then went down the path a bit more... only to find Sans and Papyrus on the other side of a patch of snow and they looked to be arguing... how the hell did Sans move so fast?

"It's best not to ask certain questions regarding the comic," Chara said Papyrus then looked at me and smiled.

"HAHA! THE HUMAN HAS ARRIVED! HUMAN, THIS IS YOUR FIRST PUZZLE. YOU SIMPLY HAVE TO MAKE IT TO THE OTHER SIDE... I THINK YOU'LL FIND IT QUITE SHOCKING! FORE TOUCHING THE INCORRECT PART OF THIS PATCH OF SNOW WILL ADMINISTER A HEALTHY DOSAGE OF ELECTRICITY TO YOUR BODY, ALL CONDUCTED FROM THIS ORB RIGHT HERE!" Papyrus said as he held a blue orb and I smiled as I then tried to walk forward on the snow... and when I touched a part of it that felt like metal, I saw that I wasn't the one to get shocked... but Papyrus was!

"SANS! WHAT'D YOU DO?!" Papyrus asked in anger after I moved back onto solid snow.

"i think the human has to hold the orb," Sans said.

"OH, OKAY!" Papyrus smiled as he then did one of the dumbest things ever. He walked through the snow and left a trail of footprints through the puzzle as he then handed me the orb and then walked back to the other side. "OKAY! TRY IT NOW!" Papyrus smiled, me looking at the prints and simply walking where he had... but luck was not on my side as, after doing the fifth step, I gasped as I got zapped slightly from the orb, me ending up dropping it in the process and me being a bit dazed. But I regained my bearings shortly after and made it the rest of the way across the puzzle.

"DANG! THAT TRAP SHOULD'VE WORKED... NO MATTER! YOU WILL NEVER MAKE IT PAST THE NEXT ONE... FOR IT HAS BEEN DEVISED BY MY BROTHER SANS! YOU WILL SURELY BE CONFOUNDED! I KNOW I SURE AM! NYEH HEH HEH!" Papyrus sneered as he went ahead once more and I looked at Sans, him smiling at me.

"that was pretty 'shocking' to say the least, huh, kid?" Sans asked, me frowning at that.

"Where the heck is a tomato when you need one?" I groaned, Sans chuckling at that.

"not anywhere near here, that's for sure. you could probably find some at snowdin town in the shop... oh, and about that pizza, i'm sure you could whip it up at my place. i'll even use my time stopping move so that the pizza stays hot the whole way from my place to hotland," Sans said, me frowning at that.

"You've been spying on me, haven't you?" I asked, him smirking at that.

"yep. i just have to make sure you don't do anything you may regret," he said, me frowning at that.

"Very well," I said as I then moved ahead a bit and saw that there was a guy at an ice cream stand and he looked a bit upset.

"Um... hello there, mister," I said, him looking at me with a smile shortly after.

"Oh! Finally, a customer! Would you like a bit of Nice Cream? It's worth 15 gold coins," the guy said, me smirking as I counted the money I had on hand and saw I had 300 gold on me, mostly from my collection of coins that I also had with me at the Orphanage... I used to have 300 more, but they were buried under most of the rubble. I then gave him 15 gold and I pointed to the chocolate flavor.

"I would like chocolate, please," I smirked, the guy smirking at that and giving me a scoop of the ice cream and putting it in the cone shortly after and then handing it to me.

"Thanks a ton, little human dude! I knew that flower was lying the moment I heard him, y'know?" the guy said, me smiling at that.

"He was, indeed. He just fears me for reasons I don't understand," I said as I then licked the ice cream... and was surprised as Chara then forced herself into control and she then proceeded to lick the ice cream ravenously. "Hey! I paid for that, not you! Come on, let me have a taste!" I complained as Chara then thought something to me.

"Not on your life, Frisk. If chocolate is involved, I'm always taking control, understood?" she said, me frowning at that as she continued to lick my tongue against the ice cream as we then came across Sans standing near a strange golf course with the ball being a snowball. And he noticed that Chara was in control... and I then had to wonder how he could do so.

"i see that your love of anything related to chocolate is still intact, kid," Sans said, Chara giving him a glare as she then let me back in control as I saw that she'd left me a little bit more ice cream as well as the entire cone.

"I like chocolate, yes, but my other side loves it way more, apparently. They said they'd take control if chocolate was ever involved," I said with a hushed voice, Sans smirking and chuckling at that.

"by the way, i've been hoping to get into the food business too. would you like some burnt snow? it costs 5 gold," he said, me smirking and about to pull out the gold before he then spoke again. "oops, i meant 50," he said, me frowning as I then stopped digging. "not gonna continue, huh?"

"I can tell when you're messing with me, Sans," I smiled at him.

"not when you were being controlled by the folks in the real world. you just let everything happen in the pacifist routes while you were a threatening psychopath in the genocide paths... well, more so the other side of you, but only because they wanted to make the player feel the torture they were going through," Sans said, me frowning as Chara then took control again just as soon as I bit the last bit of cone.

"And that, comic, is why I went through with the plan I did. That last RESET was the final one. No longer will the timelines be controlled so long as Frisk has the soul from the true world. Every single instance across the endless timelines will finally be able to have some kind of levity... even if the final genocide happened in most of them, as I'm sure you are well aware, the game was just soft locked. Everything was still there, just hidden from the players," Chara said, me frowning at that as I couldn't help but wonder if Flowey was around. "No, he isn't. I'd know if Flowey was nearby," Chara said shortly after I thought that.

"ya better get goin' soon. my bro's very anxious to see you again, considering how the flower is one of his best buds... much to my chagrin," Sans said as he then teleported away and I then felt myself regain control of my body.

"So you like chocolate too, huh?" Chara asked, me smirking at that and nodding. "Great minds think alike, I suppose." I giggled at the silly comment and proceeded due south... though, learning from Sans that Papyrus was friends with Flowey? That made me a bit concerned about how he'd treat me.
