TEEN IDLE
I wanna be a bottle blonde
I don't know why but I feel conned
I wanna be an idle teen
I wish I hadn't been so clean
I wanna stay inside all day
I want the world to go away
I want blood, guts, and chocolate cake
I wanna be a real fake

ST. MARCUS ACADEMY
Wednesday
"That's must've been a dream Rose!" Alice said at what the blonde was telling them.
The girls were in the academy's library hanging out before the second period of classes this morning, when Rosalie decided to recount one of her anecdotes in tour with her mother Esme. It seemed Rosalie was oblivious about her new friend's reaction and actual thoughts on a caring mother.
"It was a fucking nightmare… don't you think Ang?... Angela?" She was waiting for the long haired brunette to agree with her, since it looked like she was the one she shared more opinions with.
"I rather not to comment" Rosalie insisted on why "You won't like what I really think of it. And you obviously don't like when people thinks different I'd prefer not to weigh in" Angela answered calmly.
To Alice's eyes, none of them liked when people is different on things they believe a fact. She didn't open her mouth though, so she kept doing lettering on her notes. When Rosalie took a heavy breath she realized fighting was in the corner. Damn, she should've take Bella's offer to spend the recess with her group.
"Excuse me?" Rosalie dropped her pencil, which was unused until this moment "Look, dear, you don't even know me, so you have absolutely no idea of who I am!"
People around them shushed them. Neither Rosalie nor Angela acknowledged them. Alice kept her head in her notebook. The blonde girl was telling them of her mother always stealing every single opportunity to have a real friend, and how on tour she was only a way to meet the greatest Esme Platt.
"You want to know what I really think? I think is easier for you to blame your mother than admit your mother has way better charisma than you in the friend's making process" Angela concluded.
Rosalie scoffed "You think an old lady is better at making friends than me?" She knows her mother. She has lived through every single experienced where she was made to the side for her. Esme was always stuffing her nose in her life and making it impossible for her, even if she does not know!
"Have you ever stopped to think how much your mom is worth?" Alice lifted her head at the comment Angela did. Like her, Angela did not know her parents; the difference was she has her auntie and Angela had only met the caring's of a group house. Rosalie only laughed at her question "Look, Rosalie. Your mom birthed you ALONE. She took care of you without a second thought and she didn't threw you away like a like an annoying burden… but of course, the only fucking thing you care about is to run against her!"
Angela took her backpack, her blue portfolio and her water bottle and left the table in a hassle. She was going to her room for the rest of the recess. She wanted to feel sorry for herself alone, and she couldn't be in the presence of a girl who has had it all in her life and can't appreciate it.
Rosalie was left without words and in order to not appear weak she exclaimed "Who do she think she is to give me moral lessons?!" at Alice.
"She is an intelligent girl. Look, my aunt has always told me that suffering makes you grow up fast, and Angela has been through a lot" Rosalie look at her and then huffed.
"Fucking philosophers we have in this academy!" Alice rolled her eyes and advise to leave the topic there and to start to grab their things and start going to the classroom. They picked everything up and went to the exit.
Rosalie didn't want to admit she was kind of wrong but she had to recognize she was being a pain in the ass for these girls that had a different life style than her. Maybe if she wasn't in this academy she wouldn't feel this bitter towards her mom. After all, this condition was made by Alistair, not Esme.
When the both of them went out of the library when Rose crashed with a big and hard body. Alice helped her to stand right and saw the fucking brute who harassed her the other day, and behind them was that dumb bitch Isabella and her friend Lauren. Isabella waved happily to Alice and Alice did the same at her.
"If your blind get an assistance dog!" Emmett scoffed at the blonde.
"I'm sorry, Malibu Ken. Why don't you go before I call the guy that beat you up like if you weren't this big of a bull?"
"Excuse me, Lottie doll, but you don't know what you are talking about, so shut up. Why don't you go and do something to save your hair?" Isabella intervened.
She was told the truth yesterday night by Emmett via text and asked her to no talk about that topic ever again. She now understood Edward was not the bad guy but a prince in shining armor.
"What do you have to say about my hair brainless bimbo?"
"Nothing it's not in plain view" she innocently smiled. Alice was exasperated of how all these people were so mad and fighting about nothing. Rosalie threw herself at Bella but Emmett was faster and grabbed her before she could touch a hair on her friend. Bella ran to hide behind Lauren, who was shocked for all the violence. She was also busy glaring at the short girl, thinking she wanted something with Edward, who was being relegated to a forgettable crush. The curly blonde told Rosalie to stop bothering other people.
"Look, you better shut your trunk, flap your ears around and swing on your spider web somewhere else" Lauren touched her ears causing Emmett and Bella to hide a smile at the dumb comment the blonde gave.
Emmett patted her on the shoulder and return to glare at Rosalie. She didn't have the strength to keep fighting with more dumb people so she took Alice's hand and bumped everyone passing through.
"Guy's… do I really have elephant ears?" Lauren asked to Bella and Emmett. They both laughed.
"Lauren, you have a beautiful set of ears" Bella said touching them with caress. Lauren threatened to break the blonde's nose if she dared to bother them again. Bella hugged her and Emmett told her to stay calm since Rosalie was not worth it and to ignore her "I don't know if I can ignore her because I can't stand her. She ruined a short of mine… but anyway, let's sing… One little elephant went out to play, upon a spider's web one day. He had such enormous fun, that he called for another little elephant…" she grabbed her friend by the hand and motioned to Emmett to keep walking to the class room. Emmett and Lauren laughing at Bella followed her.
…
Bella had changed her uniform for pink tapered shorts, a white spaghetti strap crop top and her white and her white Calvin Klein sliders when Jacob came to pick her up, since her father decided he wanted to take her for lunch. She only took her pink Gucci flap, her iPhone and her wallet with her.
When they got back at 5:00 pm, Carlisle told her he wanted to go first at the house in St. Marcus before dropping her at the academy. He told her she had correspondence so she had to go either way.
He went directly to his office to sort some things out, including the papers he prepared for when the young Cullen contacted with him if he wanted a job to get experience. Jacob gave Isabella the package had come for her. It had no address and the name of the person that sent it was Jane Doe.
Weird.
She opened and found a beautiful portrait without a picture. It was made out of wood and had gorgeous details carved in it. It looked handmade too. She studied it and saw the initials the thing had in the bottom corner. "E. S".
"Eleanor Swan" she murmured touching the letters.
She put the thing in a book shelve and decided to wait for her dad to ask about that portrait.
She had spent a beautiful afternoon with Jacob and her dad. She truly has missed him and hated fighting with him. Him and Jacob were the only family she could really count on. Her uncles only came time to time or when they needed something from her dad. When Carlisle appeared in the study her daughter was in he came to see her thinking hard on something. He saw her chewing her lips just like her mother did. When Bella spotted him she ran to him and hugged him "Ugh, daddy. I don't want to go, I want to stay here" She pouted and Carlisle hugged her tight. He also wanted her daughter to stay but she had to think in her future.
"We've talk about this, princess. Whatever you want to do of your life, first, you need to have your school's degree… and also for the maid's mental health. Three hours and they already went crazy" he kissed her forehead and went to his desk to file some things.
"Oh. By the way I have to tell you something. I fired your cook" Carlisle asked why, with his jaw almost hitting the floor "Daddy! She was frying vegetables with reused oil! She planned to give you that nasty thing for dinner!"
"Bella, I liked her food" he laughed when his daughter came in front of her and gave him her deer eyes, the ones that avoid her troubles.
She explained how Jacob helped her find a new chef for tomorrow, one that promised to cook only healthy macrobiotic foods and with the best of ingredients too. She left him some Creamy Tuscan Chicken she made when he was in his office, enough for him and Jacob to eat this night.
Carlisle loved her daughter's food and he had missed it too. She learnt to cook since she read a book that said cooking was fetch, her words, not his. She had an amazing culinary talent. Oh, her pastries were out of this world.
She went to her room to take a pair of things for the event she had in her agenda when she remembered she already packed them and took em' to the academy. Instead, she went for the portrait.
"Uhm… dad. Look, I… found this around" she didn't know what compelled her to lie to hum, but she did anyway "This portrait was my mom's, right?" He nodded and kept doing his work "Daddy, please. Look, these are her initials, Eleanor Swan" she caressed the letters with love nod Carlisle noticed it. A nod formed in his throat "Do you happen to have a picture of her? I want one on my room in the academy".
"Picture… no, I don't have one" he simply said. She smiled but the tears were in her eyes. A smile that didn't reach her eyes and disappear when he snapped at her "Either way, why do you want a picture of her. I don't know where we have one!"
"Why are you like that? I just want a picture of my mom!"
"Isabella, I don't know where are her pictures. She died almost 15 years ago, I don't know where her things are" he conclude.
Bella started crying.
"Dad. I know when she died. But every time—every single time I ask you about her you don't tell me nothing. Ever!" Carlisle hated himself in that moment. Damn Eleanor and wherever she is. He took her hand in both of his.
"The truth is, Bella, I don't remember that much of her… I'm sorry" she noticed the pained look in his eyes so she decided to leave the topic there. For her, it was better not know about her mom than make her daddy cry "The thing I know and sure about, is when she left, it hurt. A lot. But you were there, all adorable cute, and am loving baby. You filled my life Bella" he made her smile.
Jacob heard the exchange from the door and decided he needed to find a picture of young Bella's mom. Before any other touchy topics where thrown in the table he interrupted them.
"Mr. Cullen. Miss Bella's time to return to the academy has come" The maids entered the door of the study and showed Isabella's the bags she told them to put in the limo for her.
"What is that? Bella" Carlisle said amused.
"Oh, some things I ordered" she smiled, cleaning her tears. Carlisle asked her why she needed more clothes, laughing and how in the academy she needed to use uniform "No, daddy. Not always. Fridays and weekends are armadio libero"
"Excuse me, Bella. Is that dangerous?" Jacob asked worried.
"No Jake" she went to hug him quickly "It means closet free, we can use other clothes. And I have to use the better outfits, always. And you daddy, you should know it's a fact" she pointed at him and he laughed along Jacob.
She took the portrait and Carlisle and Jacob where behind her. The joy his daughter brought to the house was something else.
…
Once Rosalie had change from her uniform to black waistband shorts, an oversized green shirt and put on some pair of comfortable socks she was called to the academy entrance. Her mom arrived. Great. She put on her black crocs and tied her hair in a messy bun and went to greet her mom. Angela gave her a meaningful look before she exited their bedroom.
When she go there she saw her mom getting out of a big white truck. She was giving her driver to go fetch her some water, so the man left the car where it wasn't supposed to park.
Esme Cullen was using a tight cyan slip dress, showing all her admirable attributes. Esme hug her daughter and even though they were tense right now, Rosalie was her everything.
"Aw, mom. You are missing the siren in your head for making an entrance… a bigger one" That comment pissed her mom.
"And did you want? I have people looking at me. I have to use the things the brands give to me and this is how I decided to look. Do you want me to use a robe?"
"Mommy. The problem is you didn't come dressed up. You came pre-fabricated". Rosalie didn't want to admit it but she did miss her extravagant mother.
Esme rolled her eyes and took her child's hand. Rosalie snatched away, like if it burned her. The woman hurt by her daughter's actions told her "I'm your mom and I want to accompany you and see your room". Rosalie told her no. But they sat down on the benches there. Her driver hasn't come yet so Esme enjoyed the little moment she was granted with her Rose.
They talked about nonsense, still not touching the topic that has Rosalie mad at her. She asked her kid about her friends and if she has made some. Rosalie told her yes. Angela and her made amends, again, and promised each other to not be hard with one and other. Alice was happy about it.
It was exactly 7:27 pm when a pappazzi aproched them. HOW THE FUCK HAD THESE PEOPLE PASSED UNNOTICED BY THE SCHOOL'S SECURITY? Rosalie thought mad. The man and her crew asked them to pose at what Esme did happily and Rosalie reluctant. Why god has to be like this? Why when she was dressed to procrastinate? Why?
Meanwhile on the Cullen's limo, Carlisle was teasing Bella on how her lips were goin to fell off if she kept putting on gloss.
"Dad. I have to look perfect; we have enough on how difficult is to be me to h- Ouch!" Bella exclaimed when Jacob stopped abruptly in the academy's entrance.
"Why do you stop like that, Jake?" Carlisle asked.
"Sorry, sir. I got distracted. There's people taking photos over there"
"What? Photos? Who are they photographing?" Bella asked getting her head out the window in order to see.
She tried to look at where the flashes were coming from when she finally noticed who was being shoot.
"Is the vulgar girl that I told you about today over lunch, daddy! And I'm guessing the other one is the flashy mother" Bella and Carlisle saw how the girl with the bugger green shirt stormed off and leaved the mother posing. The blonde business man had no problem with the woman and her pictures. The problem was that he needed to drop his daughter off too and her truck was using space and a large line was forming. Carlisle was admiring the woman who had a body to die for when he noticed Bella taking her seatbelt off and getting out of the limo.
He saw the elegance in her daughter's moves while she walked with her flap purse in hand. She walks with authority, Jacob thought.
Bella flipped her hair off her shoulder and with her free hand she touched lightly the shoulder of the woman "Excuse me. I'm sorry for interrupting the circus, but I was wondering if you could move spectacle and your car. And you should know this is an prestige academy, and this things do not belong in here. My limo is behind and it cannot pass" Bella was smiling innocently when Esme turned around and saw the impertinent girl who called this a circus.
Esme scanned her and recognize her as the girl who introduced herself in the first day to her daughter. Now she hoped they weren't friends.
"Look, dear. If this is the prestige attitude they are teaching in this academy, let me tell you, it's far from satisfactory" she said, not missing a beat. She could also be passive aggressive. Bella dropped her smile "And my car I'm moving it when my chuffer comes. Okay?"
Carlisle came behind her daughter, not listening the whole exchanged they had. He introduced himself and exchanged some words. To Esme, he looked kind of uptight but nice and good looking, and to Carlisle she was flamboyant, but beautiful nonetheless. The papparazzis wanted a picture of the fashion designer and the singer, but he was firm. He wanted no part in that whole thing.
"I just wanted to ask you to, please, move your car. We are a lot of us who want to drop our kids or the ones that have to meet with the academy staff. The line is getting bigger and bigger"
When the conversation extended, at the same time, Rosalie that was by the door waiting for her mom to say good bye, and Bella that wasn't enjoying the company, both of the rushed out there, going to their respective rooms. When they cross paths they just sized each other, waiting for the other to attack. No one did anything so they ignored each other.
