Current T/W: Minor Character Death
"When will you be back?"
"I don't know. Daddy says we have to go and see them cause they're all sad."
"oh."
"When I get back I'll come see you by the swings!" The eight year old gestured towards the swing set less than ten feet away. "I'm sorry Blainey. I'm going to miss you."
"I'll miss you too Kurtie." Blaine looked down at his feet, kicking the sand, creating quick vanishing clouds. The boys had met five months ago at the local playground and had since met up every weekend until Kurt's mother got sick and she couldn't take him as much, he could only go when his older sister, Belle, took him. Belle had deep black hair that reached her lower back which perfectly complimented her bold blue eyes, pale skin and red lips. The sixteen year old walked toward the boys and knelt next to Blaine. "We'll come visit you when we get back, okay B?" Blaine nodded and quickly embraced the girl, holding her tight. Belle is a lot like an older sister to him. Around her he always felt safe and her leaving is like his safety is leaving too. Blaine is an only child who's parents aren't the most supportive and definitely aren't around a lot. The past few months he had definitely developed a soft spot for the Hummel household, especially Kurt. Kurt and his beautiful eyes and contagious grin. The Kurt who he could call his best friend. The Kurt who's mother had just died. The Kurt who had to go to France for an undetermined amount time to spend time with family and have a funeral for his mother. He quickly let go of Belle and grabbed onto Kurt, holding him close. Blaine pulled back, blinking hard, ordering the tears to go back in. "I'm never saying goodbye to you, Blainey." The shorter boy nodded slighting, a forced smile on his face, waving politely as he watched Kurt and Belle leave, hand in hand. Kurt turned back to look at him before quickly waving and turning the corner. Blaine spun around and started trotting home, already missing his friends.
Kurt stretched his legs as Belle packed his sketchbook away. He looked out the window and watched the water slowly run down the side of the plane. It felt really odd. Sure, He'd been to France before, 3 times, which he remembers. They had visited to see their grandparents a few times before. But this time felt different, of course it is, something was missing, SOMEONE was missing. Their mother was missing. Kurt looked over at Belle to see her with the same emotionless look on her face that she had had since Mom had died.
He didn't know how to feel. There were so many people around him who were trying to help but it only felt like they're telling me how he's supposed to react. Kurt's devastated. He's broken. She is gone. And she's not coming back. He quickly wiped away the tears that escaped from my eyes as he unbuckled his seatbelt and followed his dad and Belle off the plane. Everyone was quite as they made their way through security and grabbed their bags. Grandma and Grandpa were waiting for them at the exit. They quickly hugged the travelling group and they all walked, yet again, in silence toward their car. When they got back to their house Kurt went upstairs to his usual room and took a shower, He always felt gross after flights. When he got out he didn't feel like seeing anyone. This place reminded him so much of Mum. He quickly scurried over to the bed, dragging his too long pants across the floor as he did so. He engulfed himself in the covers and he can already feel the warm tears trickling down him face. He sniffed as he buried his face into the pillow and started crying. He cried until he couldn't cry anymore and listened to the rain fall heavily outside. He silently thanked the skies. He thanked them crying for him.
Its crap, I know. OH WELL! I was going to rewrite it but I don't have time :)
Until next time,
- Grace
