*Hey all, I am back with another Pride family story! I don't know where this idea came from, but I knew I wanted to give Rose and Owen a family. On their quest to find a perfect child to adopt, a man-made disaster threatens to tear them apart, testing the little toy family. Read on if you dare!*

It was a stormy evening in the tri-county area. Owen and Rosetta were safe inside enjoying their date night under Bonnie's bed. She and Owen were stargazing with Bonnie's old star projector.

"There's Aries, and the sea serpent Hydra. Oo, and there's Pavo, the peacock. And of course, we can't forget Ursa Major and minor." Rosetta said, pointing.

"And who are they again?" Owen asked.

"Big bear and little bear!"

"Ah, yes. Now I remember. How do you know all of these constellations?"

"You know my uncle likes to talk about all things space. It gets to be a bit much to the others, but I think its fascinating!"

"It is very fascinating. I love how passionate you are about it."

"Thank you, my handsome husband." She snuggled close to him. "Our anniversary is on Friday. Five years. Can you believe we've been married for that long?"

"Yes I can. Though it still seems like yesterday when I saw you walking towards me in that jaw dropping dress." Her face got hot as she beamed. He saw her smiling and kissed her cheek. "I'm actually glad you brought that up because I was hoping to get your opinion on something."

"Oh? And what would that be?"

"Well now that we have been married for so long, I was thinking we could think about what the next step is. I've been wondering, have you had ever thought about kids?" She sat up.

"Owen Timothy Hart, did I just hear what I think I heard?"

"Why yes you did, Rosetta Grace Hart." He laughed and sat up as well. "Think about it, babe. We'd be great parents. We've already had experience taking care of the pea pods, and Angelica let's us watch Zach all the time." Jack and Angelica adopted a kid last year, a young lad named Zachary who was the spitting image of his adoptive father. "If we can handle him, we can handle our own kids."

"Yes, I suppose. If they can do it..."

"What's wrong? You don't seem so excited about it. Do you not want kids?"

"No! No, not at all sweetheart. I love the pea pods and taking care of Zach. Of course I want to adopt and raise children with you. You would make a wonderful father, I just am not sure..."

"That you would make a good mother?" He asked. She turned away, but nodded. "Oh my sweet, all women think they won't be good mothers when they decide if they want kids. I bet your mom felt the same way before she decided to adopt you." He could see that Rosetta wasn't convinced. Owen took his wife's small hand in his. "We don't have to make this decision now, my Rose. But if it's any consolation, I think you would be one hell of a mother. Nurturing, protective, strict, but to a point." She smiled at that.

"You really think so?" She asked.

"Yes, I do. Like I said, we don't have to make a choice now. The right kid could be anywhere."

"Right. We just need to let it happen."

"Exactly! I knew you would be on board." He kissed her and they continued to stargaze. They said goodnight around ten and Owen scaled down the window and back over to Joey's window. Rosetta watched him leave to make sure he got back okay and then waved to him before disappearing into the room. Leaning against the windowsill, her thoughts went back to the doubt taking shelter at the back of her mind. Would she honestly be a good mother? Was she really ready to take care of her own kid? Putting the doubt to rest, she climbed down the desk and went to her sleeping spot beside Slinky, soon drifting off into a deep slumber.

*Okay, so this chapter is pretty tame. Zachery was an added character. I was going to have Buzz and Jessie have a kid, but I thought Jack would be better. Also, asking opinions: Should I keep the title as is? I was either going to call it 'Test of a family', 'Twister', or The Strength of a family'. Which one do you guys like? Or come up with your own! Thanks!*
