I don't own Loud House, the show belongs to Chris Savino and Nickelodeon.
Story inspired by Sid and Marty Krotts Land of the Lost TV series.
By midday the Louds had completely settled into their new cave home, Lana and her father had managed to complete the door and secure it on the cave's entrance, inside the cave the tools they had made were laid ontop of one of the rocks, Leni and Lola had decorated the walls of the cave with vines to make the cave more lively.
As for the family themselves they were exploring the land, to get a good bearing on the land they were going to live in for awhile, to make things better Lisa is making a map so that they would know where everything is and not get lost. "So we have been walking north for the past hour, and so far we have seen various tropical plant species and a flock of meganeura." Lisa muttered to herself while working on the map.
"I can't believe how big those Dragonflies were." Lori exclaimed.
"I know how awesome was that." Lana stated with a smile.
"I hope we don't see anymore yucky bugs." Lola said in clear disgust.
"I hope we do! Oh I wonder if we will see a giant spider?"
Leni instantly screamed loudly. "SPIDER WHERE!"
"Don't worry honey, I'm sure there aren't any giant spiders here. " Rita said to calm her down, behind her Lynn Sr. looked around in fear as like his daughter he to has an extreme fear of spiders, and the thought of seeing a giant one is definitely giving him the heebie jeebies.
The family stood behind large ferns looking out into a large clearing, watching the local dinosaurs that were situated there. The herd of iguanodon were grazing along side a herd of torosaurs, further away four apatosaurs were trudging through the clearing, and close by a flock of gallimimus were feeding on low scrubs like a bunch of ducks.
"Isn't this amazing?" Lana spoke up.
"Amazing or not there still dinosaurs and that makes them dangerous." Lynn Sr. remarked.
"That maybe true father, but it's still fascinating to watch these incredible animals." Lisa said.
"Just keep your distance okay." Lynn Sr. replied.
"Hey what's up with the triceratops?" Leni asked.
In the torosaurus herd two males were roaring at each other, one had a bright red color on the frill while other one who was larger and clearly the older one of the two had a more yellowish color on the frill. They shook their heads from side to side showing off their horns, they stomped their front feet on the ground.
"First off Leni those are torosaurs you can tell by the much longer frills and horns. Second looks like their fighting for dominance."
"Dominance for what?"
"Well Leni it's most likely for the rights to mate with the females."
"Talk about fighting for a girl." Luan joked.
"Oh this is going to be good." Lynn said in excitement as if she was watching one of her lucha libre matches.
The two males continue to roar at each other, suddenly the young one charged at the older one locking up his horns with him, the other torosaurs watch as the two push each other with their weight, the older one pushes the younger one back a bit until the younger one manage to stop and held his ground. They shook their heads, the younger one rose his head up breaking away from the hornlock forcing the older one to rise his upper body up a bit.
The younger one charges again, but the older one blocked him, then they go in a circle kicking up dirt; the large one twists left breaking the hornlock and revealing the younger ones vulnerable side, with a charge the older one stabs his horns into the front right leg. The younger one lets out a roar in pain as the older one pulled out his horns, the younger one falls on his belly blood oozes out of the leg, the older one looked at his beaten challenger the blood drips down from his horns, he shakes his head while letting out a couple snorts.
The Loud family all but cringed over the injury the younger one received, that is all except Lucy who is admiring the blood on the horns. As for the older torosaur he gives out another snort before turning around and walked away in the middle of the herd to return in grazing. The younger one breaths heavily as he slowly gets up on his three remaining legs without putting on to much weight for the injured one.
"Aw, that poor one is hurt." Leni said.
"Yes that is unfortunate, and unless he's lucky enough to recover he is going to be easy prey for predators." Lisa stated.
"That's not fair."
"That's how things are unfortunately Leni."
Suddenly with a loud crash the carnotaurus smashes through the jungle, the gallimimuses look up in alarm the carnotaurus runs to the flock, the gallimimuses scattered however one got caught by the tail, he gets dragged back then the carnotaurus grabs the mid section, shakes him and crushed his spine killing him instantly. She drops the body out of her mouth, the other gallimimuses run to the safety of the jungle the carnotaurus leans down and rips a piece of flesh off.
The family looked away from carnotaurus as she ate her meal, all except Lucy who watched with great interest as the carnivore tears off a piece of meat off that was long, the carnotaurus looked around a bit before rearing her head up and shallowing it whole.
"Look at all that blood, Edwin would love to feast on it." She thought.
"Okay family, I think this is enough excitement for one day. Time to head back to the cave." Lynn Sr. ordered. The others nod and slowly head off in the opposite direction except for Lucy who instead leaned forward to watch more, her mother grabs her hand and pulls her away.
"We're getting close to the cave." Lisa informs her family.
"Oh good my feet are literally killing me." Lori sighed.
"You know by the time we get there, I should start working on those apples to make something great for dinner." Lynn Sr. said.
"Uh guys I hate to inform you of this now, but I have to go number two." Lana stated suddenly, her family stopped then looked at her. "What right now?" Lori asked.
Lana smiled sheepishly while slowly nodding, Lynn sighs then looked over to a large tree. "Go behind that tree, but please be watchful."
"Okay Dad."
Going behind the tree Lana proceeded to do her business, after she was done Lana pulled her overalls up and is about to leave when she notices a couple bushes moving, Lana looked at them closely and sees something hairy looking back at her.
"Hello?"
The figure lets out a scared noise as it backed away a bit. "It's okay, I won't hurt you."
The figure stood there nervously, then it slowly comes out of the bushes revealing itself to be some sort of two legged primate that is covered in brown fur, was the same size as Lucy, and had a almost human looking face. The primate looks at her curiously while keeping a distance, Lana marveled at the primate, it was so strange looking and didn't look like any other primate she has ever seen before.
She reached her arm out to him slowly, and he did the same to her. "You must be as curious about me as I am about you." The primate replies with some sort of weird language much to Lana's surprise.
"Oh you can talk that's cool. I'm Lana by the way."
"Rana?"
Lana shrugs. "Yeah close enough."
The primate points to her, "Rana" He points to himself. "Cha-Ka"
"Cha-Ka? That's an interesting name. What are you?"
Cha-Ka responds with a jumble of words.
Lana points to herself, "I'm a human."
"Human?" Cha-Ka points to himself again in excitement. "Pakuni!"
"Pakuni? Hmm, that's some primate name."
Suddenly Lola's voice called out to her. "Lana get your butt over here already!" Cha-Ka jumps from the loud voice and began to back away a bit. "Don't worry that's just my loud mouth sister." Lana reassured. Cha-Ka looked at her unsure, "Listen I got to go now, but hey maybe we can meet again and become friends."
"Friends?"
"Yeah friends." Lana waves goodbye as she walked away to rejoin her family, Cha-Ka watched curiously as she along with her family walk towards the cave.
Back at the cave Lana sat in front of the door looking out to the jungle listening to the many animal calls; she scans through it trying to see if Cha-Ka had followed her to the cave. She was really hoping he did as she thought it would be really awesome to have a primate as a friend, plus he could help them survive here as well as having fun with him.
Lola comes out the cave and approaches Lana as she wondered why she was sitting out here. "Lana what are you doing?"
"Nothing just looking out at the jungle." She lied, she didn't know if it would be ok to tell her family about Cha-Ka as she had no idea on how they would react, plus she was also scared that Lisa might do her weird experiments on him.
Lola slaps her hand on her cheek as a bug landed on it. "Darn bugs, figures that this world has the same size bugs as we do back home."
"I know, I also noticed that this land has the same reptiles like in the pond where the Fisherman's live." Lana added with a smile.
"Oh great." Lola sarcastically remarked.
Lola joined Lana on looking out to the jungle, "I can't believe we're in this mess, stuck in this land with possibly no way out. I knew we shouldn't have gone on that dumb fishing trip, we could've went to the zoo, the park, or the mall, but no we had to go on a fishing trip." Lola ranted as she raised her arms up and then crossed them.
"Come on Lola none of us could've predicted on how we would end up here. Plus there's gotta be a way out of here."
Lola rolled her eyes as she looked down to her feet. "Yeah sure there is."
The twins didn't say anything else, instead they looked out to the jungle many bugs flew around Lola making her growl in annoyance as she swatted them away.
Inside the cave Lynn is sitting against the cave's wall tossing a rock up and down in complete boredom, her other siblings were each doing things to keep themselves entertain, but boy she was bored on staying in this cave with nothing but this rock to toss up and down. She would do anything to have a ball right now, she would bounce it everywhere if she had one right now.
She is also getting stir crazy, she felt like going out on a run right now, but yet she knew that her parents would have a cow if she just went out now. Maybe she could go out early the next morning and get back before anyone woke up. Yeah that could be a game plan, it would cure her stir crazy and she can explore more of this land.
With this plan in her mind Lynn smiled looking forward for tomorrow morning.
