The Loud family were memorized when they saw the old temple, they weren't expecting to come across this in this land, Lisa adjusted her glasses as she and the rest of her family stood under the archway. "Fascinating from the condition of this temple, I say it was built around a thousand years ago."
"So who built this place?" Leni asked in which Lisa could only shake her head. "I don't know but obviously intelligent beings."
"I wonder if who ever built this, build that pyramid thing?" Rita thought.
"So you think their still around?" Lincoln asked.
"I don't think so, judging by its condition I say it's been long abandon."
The family continues to look at the temple. "You don't think Lynn went in there do you?" Rita asked her husband. "I don't know honey, but knowing her she probably did."
"If she did, than which entrance did she go into?"
Lynn shrugs, "I don't know honey."
"We should find out dudes." Luna exclaimed, suddenly the allosaurus came into view from the left, the sudden appearance made the Louds jump, they quickly duck behind one of the archway's pillers thankfully the allosaurus didn't see them as she had stopped to sniff the ground. The family peeked out to watch as she continues to sniff the ground.
"What is that?" Lola questions.
"It's a allosaurus: one of the most famous carnivores of the Jurassic period, wasn't the largest carnivore in the Jurassic era but still deadly with razor sharp teeth and three clawed hands." The allosaurus is now walking back into the jungle, once she was out of sight the family came out from their hiding spot. "Certainly a fascinating creature."
"Okay enough about it, what matters now is did Lynn go in there or not?" Lori states with her hands on her hips.
"Only one way to find out." Luan said.
The family walked towards the middle entrance of the old temple.
Another deep roar emits from the foggy pit much to Lynn's dread, the reptilian creatures were still doing their dance. "Hey reptile guys how about a deal, you let me go and I'll get you all the giant vegetables you want."
They ignored her, one of them did the short lunge at her which made Lynn jumped.
The family slowly walked through the tunnels, with them being dark they were walking slowly. "Isn't this darkness nice." Lucy calmly says.
"Glad you like it kiddo, but I wish we had some sort of light." Lynn countered.
"Fear not father I got just the thing for us to see through this darkness." Lisa pulls out a torch and a bit of flint, with a scrape against the wall came a spark that lit the torch in a beautiful flame. "There we go a light source for our trek through this tunnel."
Lynn quickly took the torch from Lisa. "Thanks honey, but don't hold torches."
"Can handle antonium but can't hold a simple torch." Lisa muttered under her breath. Without hearing her Lynn carefully lead his family through the tunnels. Suddenly a low roar rang out through the tunnel, they stopped in utter fear then looked at each other wondering what that was, spotting a tunnel up ahead they creep to it slowly, peeking through they were shocked to see three reptilian creatures dancing around a tied up Lynn next to a misty pit.
They quickly duck back. "What are those yucky things?" Lola question.
"They appear to be some kind of evolve reptilian people." Lisa exclaimed in utter bafflement. "So you think those are Sleekstak?" Lori asked. "Most likely." Lisa replied.
"I wonder why they had Lynn tied up along with doing that silly dance?" Leni questioned.
The family carefully peek through the opening again, Lisa had to hold in a gasp when she realized what was going on. "Oh dear it looks like their going to sacrifice her to a creature in the pit."
"Sacrifice?"
"Their going to feed her to whatever is in the pit Leni." Lincoln explained.
Leni gasped. "That's horrible?"
"Agree we can't let them do that dudes." Luna punched her hand.
"Okay lets come up with a plan." Lynn Sr. stated.
"Forget that, let's just get her!" With that Lola stormed into the room; both Lynn and the Sleekstaks looked over in surprise. "HEY YOU UGLIES LET MY SISTER GO OR ELSE!"
The Sleekstaks were hissing in great aggression, Lynn looked at her younger sister in great worry. "LOLA GET OUT OF HERE!" The Sleekstaks move towards her with their arms up making her a little afraid, maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all. One of them who is closest to her began to lunged for her, but before it could grab her Lynn Sr. stepped out and thrusts the torch at the Sleekstak.
"BACK AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER!"
The Sleekstak draws back in fear as it covered its eyes from the flame while hissing in pain, the rest of the family entered and watched the scene. "Look at that guys the scaly people don't like the fire." Leni exclaimed as she points to it cringey away.
"Fascinating, this can be used as an advantage for us."
The other Sleekstaks moved towards Lynn Sr., he quickly turns to them waving the torch around in frantic movements drawing them back. "Hurry and get Lynn, I can't hold them off for long!" Lincoln and Lori run over to Lynn, from the pit the creature roared loudly; Lincoln helped her up while Lori tried to get the rope off. "Ugh, these ropes are literally tight!"
Lana rushes over to them. "Don't worry I got this." With a simple chomp Lana bit the rope off of a Lynn's wrists much to the three siblings surprise.
"Good now get out of here!"
Together the siblings rush to their family where they quickly ran out of the room, Lynn Sr. thrusts the torch again making the Sleekstaks back off, then he took off after his family and without the flames bugging them the Sleekstaks went after them.
The family ran through the tunnels in utter panic, they hear the Sleekstaks hissing behind them, eventually they came to the entrance, by then the allosaurus had came back she spots them running out of the temple, she roars in anger over them being in her territory.
The Louds jumped in fright over the loud roar that came from the approaching carnivore, they scrambled in two different directions the allosaurus stopped and looked at the two fleeing groups, she roars and goes after the group that went left which were Rita, Lori, Luna, Lucy, Lincoln, Lola, and Lilly.
They run into the jungle, the allosaurus stopped and lets out a loud roar at the retreating figures, she looks back at the other group who just ran passed under the archway, with the intruders gone she calms down and sprayed the ground with her pee to mark it with her scent.
The Sleekstaks stood in the dark entrance hissing in anger over the lost of their offering to their god, now they needed to find something else to feed their god. With more angry hisses they walked back into their tunnels, they would definitely try to get that family for what they did.
With their successful escape the Louds crossed the crevasse back to their side. They just got into the jungle when Lynn spoke up. "Thanks for saving me back there guys."
"Your welcome Lynn!" They all replied, her parents now turned to her with a great scowl. "Now Lynn what do you have to say for yourself."
Lynn looked to the ground in shame. "Sorry for dragging you into this mess."
"How could you do something so reckless as jogging in this dangerous place." Her mother scolded. "I just wanted to move around.". "Well young lady your going to have to some chores around the cave to make up for this."
Lynn nodded accepting her punishment.
"And let's not go that temple ever again or in fact never cross that crevasse again." Lynn Sr. warned in which the others nodded in understandment, then the Louds walked back towards their cave home for some rest.
