I don't own Loud House, the show belongs to Chris Savino and Nickelodeon.
Story inspired by Sid and Marty Krotts Land of the Lost TV series.
It had been a couple days since the family saved Lynn from the Sleekstaks, and true to their word Lynn had to do chores at the cave under close supervision by her parents; the chores she had to do was help make tools, count the amount of food and water they got, help with the garden that Rita and Lisa were making, and sweep up the cave.
Today she is tasked with pulling the weeds to free up space for the garden, she is both sweating and dirty with bugs flying around her, she pulls out a weed with a great pull, she places it down letting out breaths of exhaustion while swatting away the bugs out of her face. "Oh man this is exhausting."
Lynn took a short break, then she grabbed a really big one that is really stuck in the ground, Lynn grunts as she pulled it, but it wouldn't budge not even a inch. "Come on you stupid!" Her hands slip off the stems and she fell on her butt, Lynn growled in anger she gets back up and again pulled on it.
While Lynn battled with the weed, Lana and Lynn Sr. came out of the cave with custom made fishing poles. "Alright Lana you ready to go catch some fish?"
"Sure am dad, I'm getting tired of eating vegetables and fruits all the time."
"Alright then lets go, but keep your eyes open we don't want to get ambushed by some dinosaur."
"You got it dad." Lana and Lynn head off into the jungle, Lynn pulled and pulled until the weed pop out of the ground which launched her away.
Lynn Sr. and Lana got to the lake, the two stopped and sniffed in the lake air which they let out a satisfied sigh. "Nothing like that fresh lake smell right dad."
"Sure is kiddo, now lets get some bait."
"Don't worry I got this dad." Lana places her fishing pole down on the ground, then she walked over to a muddy area, she digs a hole in a matter of seconds and got a handful of worms. "Bait collected!"
"Good job kiddo now get over here, and let's get some fish."
Lana walked back to her dad, they placed one worm into their individual hook while placing the rest in Lana's cap, then they simply cast their hooks into the lake. "Alright hooks are in, now Lana remember fishing takes a lot of patience, like think of cooking a souffle it takes a lot of patience but worth it at the end."
"Uh, okay dad."
The two sat there waiting for a bite, it was peaceful around the lake with the sounds of frogs croaking and the roars of bigger animals in the surrounding jungle, three pterosaurs flew overhead. Lynn wiped some sweat off his forehead. "Phew, wish we got some sunscreen."
"I don't mind the sun."
"Yeah, but there's a risk of sunburn."
"I know, peeling the skin is the best part!" Lana smiled excited.
Lynn however cringed over the thought of peeling skin, he quickly shakes the thought out of his mind, he looks over to the other side of the lake and could just see the neck of an alamosaurus rise over the treeline gracefully as it ate leafs.
Lana's fishing rod began to bend, she immediately gets excited as she bounced up and down. "Oh I got something dad!"
Lynn also gets excited and gets behind his daughter of course after setting his pole down. "Good job honey! Reel it in!" Lana pulled and pulled, but the fish was fighting hard and pulled back, but Lana wasn't one to give up she reels back. The water splashes everywhere as the fish breached the surface, the fish splashes everywhere as it gets pulled in closer to land.
"Aw yeah we're going to get fish tonight!" Lana exclaimed.
The fish reached the shore, suddenly with a loud roar a pterosaur flew down and grabbed the fish. "Hey that's my fish!" Lana shouts to the retreating flying reptile that ate her fish. "Well that's a bummer kiddo."
"It was the biggest fish I ever seen!"
"Don't worry kiddo well get another one."
Lana sighed. "Alright dad."
A loud roar made them jump, they turn around in fright to see the tyrannosaurus coming towards them with his mouth wide open while leaning his upper body down. "Oh gosh, MOVE LANA!" The two jumped out of the way just seconds before the T-Rex snapped his mouth shut where they just were. The two rolled a few meters away onto their butts, they look back at the mighty predator who turned to them with a slightly open mouth, he looks down at them letting out low growls, he lunged for them; the two closed their eyes in fear as they knew that they couldn't get out of the way in time.
Nothing happened though as the T-Rex lets out a threatening roar as he moved sideways, a deinosuchus had burst out of the lake with jaws wide open, the massive alligator snapped his jaws shut where the T-Rex just was, it's upper body lands on the ground and lets out a hiss, the T-Rex roars in response.
Lana and Lynn watch in awe from the unexpected turn of events, however they took this time to get out of the area, they dash for the jungle the T-Rex notices he goes in pursuit roaring loudly, the deinosuchus hissed at the retreating predator, it then turned back into the water.
Lana and Lynn ran through the jungle, the T-Rex roared loudly as he chased after his prey the two ran inbetween two thick trees, the T-Rex went halfway but his thighs stopped him, he looked around surprised and confused then looked in the direction of his retreating prey, letting out a roar of frustration.
Lynn and Lana stopped and panted hard they could hear the angry roars of the Tyrannosaurus distances away, Lynn looked back from where they ran from then sighed in relief. "Oh that was close."
"Boy dad, that giant alligator was awesome!
"Awesome?! That thing was just as terrifying as the T-Rex! We were lucky it didn't get us while we were fishing."
"Speaking of that, we left our fishing gear at the lake."
"Oh dang it! Hopefully they'll still be there when we get back there." Lynn looked back the way they came, the angry roars of the T-Rex were still calling out. "We're going have to go around though, come on Lana." Lynn leads Lana away.
The T-Rex lets out a frustrated roar, he then went silent as his nose catches scent of something behind him, looking behind he spots a pachycephalosaurus come into view. He gets himself out of the trees, turns around and lets out a roar as it went towards the pachycephalosaurus.
It took awhile but eventually Lana and Lynn got back in the direction of the lake, luckily the two haven't ran into any other danger on the way back which was great, now they only hope that their fishing poles were alright.
The two stopped behind a bush. "I'm going to check for any danger before heading out there."
"Good idea dad."
Lynn pushed aside the leafs, from what he saw made him want to do a double take as there on the lake shore were three ape like creatures; two adults and one young one they were around the fishing poles with one of the adults picking one up and waved it around like a wand.
"What are those things?"
Curious on what her dad is seeing Lana peered through the bush, then smiled upon seeing Cha-Ka again. "Oh those are pakuni." Lynn with visible confusion turned to his daughter. "Uh, how did you know what those things are?"
"Because I met the little one when I was going number two."
"What! You should of told us Lana."
"Don't worry dad, he wasn't dangerous just curious."
"You sure?"
"Yes dad, I'm sure they'll give our poles back." Before Lynn could stop her, Lana walked out of the bushes towards the pakuni. "Hey Cha-Ka." The three immediately turned to her frightened, Cha-Ka went behind the two adults while the said two thrusts the poles forward like spears. Lana quickly rose her hands up defensively.
"Whoa take it easy pal, I'm friendly." Cha-Ka looked at her with a tilt of his head, however the two adult ones thrusts the poles at her speaking angrily. Lynn quickly stepped out to protect his daughter. "Hey point those poles away from my daughter!"
The male adult responds with his own shout.
"Now give us back our poles!"
The male shouted back louder, surprised Lynn backed away a bit; the male huffed proudly and turned to the other pakuni buffing up his chest. "I think it's best that we leave Lana."
"But what about our poles?"
"It's clear we aren't going to get them back. We're just going to have to make new ones."
Lana sighed. "Fine."
The two walked away with their heads down, as they reenter the jungle they could just hear the male laugh at them.
"So what do we do for dinner tonight dad?"
"I don't know honey, well just have to find something else."
The pakunies watched them go, the male motions the other two to follow him, the female did but Cha-Ka stood there looking in the direction where Lana and her father left, he had this weird feeling going through him but just couldn't figure out what that feeling was.
The male called for him, Cha-Ka looked at his fellow pakuni to the other direction, the male with a more sterner voice called for him again, Cha-Ka quickly went to catch up with them.
