Note on conclusion of the story...

Greetings to all the readers who just happen to pass by this story, to everyone who became interested in it, to those who liked, favourited it and followed it, and at last but not least to those who reviewed it and wished for me to continue writing.

I have started writing this story in September 2016, and even though more than three years have passed since then I failed to get further with it then the number of 13 chapters, which were moreover considerably short when it comes to their lenght. The irregular updates and the endless gaps between each chapter leaded to the fall of interest of those who started reading this story... for which i cannot blame anyone, I myself would have done the same with a story like mine. XD

Due to my inability to make myself write this story, I have decided that it will be probably the best to officially wrap this up and ultimately discontinue this work, for I believe that it would not fare much of a future anyway...

However, due to the respect of those who wished for this to continue for they were looking forward to seeing how Natsuki grows, I decided to give you all a bit of the insight of what I had in store for her - or at least those ideas I was playing with, thinking it would be nice to use them were this to continue.

Here are some of the events that would have followed in the story...

1/ Natsuki going through the time of losing her powers (due to being half-demon) and the previous indecision on how to break it to Lord Inutaisho

2/ Getting to meet Lady Izayoi, and figuring out she was pregnant with InuYasha - here Natsuki would start to question if the reason why Inutaisho took her in could be mainly to find out more about half-demons due to him being on the verge of having one as his son soon

3/ At some point Natsuki would have ended up being caught in the battle between Inutaisho and Shishinki, and as result meeting Totosai when the Dog General tasks him with creating Tenseiga - and I suppose that Totosai could start to take some interest in the young half-demoness...

4/ Natsuki and Akemi growing closer through having to face hardships of the "real world" - technically, at some point Natsuki would have ended up putting her life on a line to protect Akemi, thus making her father somewhat grateful to her (Lord Daiki was meant to have some gurge against the Seigo clan)

5/ Some kind of development between Natsuki and Sesshomaru - nothing romantic anywhere in the near future, more of a mutual acknowledgement of each other... (though to be honest those two were ultimately meant to end up getting further than just that, but only after a long, lo~ng time...)

6/ Natsuki would have ended up getting twin swords from Totosai, which would have been made specially for her to be able to use both her demonic powers and the powers she got from her clan through it. She would have to learn (in quite a long term...?) to aply the sufficient mixtures of both powers into them since each of them would require different proportion

7/ Not too long before the fight with Ryukotsusei, Natsuki would got to reunite with some members from her clan, where more would be explained about her background and early childhood - how her grandfather was the leader, how he reacted to his daughter falling in love with a demon, how Natsuki's gradmother would not be able to accept it and grow to dispise her - to be honest I had quite a lot of plans for this part, like introducing Natsuki's childhood friend and how most of the clan members were starting to slowly warm up to her, however, after her grandfather's death and the uncertainties about the new leader (should have been Natsuki's mother, but the grandmother would not stand the idea of Natsuki being the candidate one day, etc...), well, to cut it short it would turn out that the fall of the Seigo clan that happened 10 years prior to the main story line was connected to this argument...

8/ Natsuki was supposed to somehow confront her yet-living grandmother and with the support of her childhoodfriend (whose name was to be Chiaki, by the way), she would return to her people for some period of time - before officially passing the leadership to Chiaki after some years...

9/ The battle with Ryukotsusei would have happened while Natsuki was with her clan... as for the story itself, Rising from the Derbis would have probably ended around here, but I also had vague plans to continue at some point with it after a huge skip during the InuYasha storyline era... but those were thoughts from far far away...

Well, that's about it...? I apologise for disapointing you for not being able to bring the whole story to life, for it could have been a fun thing to do, but due to personal reasons it has to be cut down...

Anyway, I am glad I could have spend those three years around here, trying to write this story, for I suppose it helped me (among other things) improve my writing skills, and it was a good experience in general. I am also happy that I at least got to give you the summary of what would have followed, for I believe that you deserve to know.

Thanks once again to everyone who has ever visited this story, I wish you all a lot of good times in your life, hopefully full of happiness (for that's what this world really needs/lacks at this point - in general).

Enjoy your life and live it to the fullest~
