With the next day coming into view, Jeff couldn't bring himself to ignore he maybe let something or more like someone was able to slip past his sight but he chooses to push it back to his mind, getting up and dropping from the tree he was sleeping in, stretching his limbs before heading for the guild only to see a crowd and pushing through the people to see Team Shadow Gear crucified with the Phantom Lord guild marked on Levy's stomach.
"This is taking it too far" Lucy said.
"They've definitely crossed the line" Gray said.
"I was willing to let the destruction of the guild slide, but they have attacked three of my children and this means war" Makarov said snapping his cane, while others get ready to leave for Oak town, Jeff gives Lucy a small bottle.
"Give this to them when they're patched up" Jeff said before turning around.
"You're not staying?" Lucy asked.
"I'll come back to check on them when we're done" Jeff said, raising his arms, his hair turning crimson, his eyes turning black green, with his teeth turning sharp, engulfing them in neon green hellfire and patches of fire rise from his body and covering his right eye.
"His fire seems even hotter than Natsu's" Lucy said, sweating a lot.
"Yeah, it's hotter than back then" Erza said wiping some sweat from her forehead.
"Let's cause hell" Jeff said, taking to the sky and bolting for Oak, the home of the Phantom Lord guild.
"Faster too! Now I'm getting fired up!!!" Natsu said slamming his fist into his palm, as the guild continued their journey to the place where war will start.
At Phantom Lord…….
While the guild was talking about how proud they were for causing problems for Fairy Tail, hailing Gajeel for his work but that is cut off when their doors are busted open by the Fairy Tail guild; it was war, a war that seemed one-sided as FT was kicking ass while Jeff did beat people he felt uneasy in which he used a bit of magic to send a messenger look after Lucy.
"I'm going after Jose, he's got to be on the top floor" Makarov said to Erza, before heading up and soon enough Gajeel jumps in only to be intercepted by Elfman before; the battle between the take over mage and the iron dragon slayer was no child's play, though the dragon slayer seemed to not care much for the other members of his guild, but Elfman let his guard due to his enemy getting attacked by their side, allowing Gajeel to get a hit in and going in for a finishing only for Natsu and Jeff to jump in, punching the dragon slayer in the face.
"They hit Gajeel!" One said.
"That's impossible! How did they do it?!" Another said shocked.
"Didn't you learn to fight equally?" Jeff asked with a smirk, but Gajeel wiped his cheek.
"So salamander has finally come out of his hole" Gajeel said.
"You're the one who beat up Levy and the guys" Natsu said.
"They were also weaklings at that" Gajeel said with a grin, as the heat within that area skyrocketed.
"Natsu go find Lucy, she's not here and I believe she was captured then taken to their headquarters" Jeff said in a calm tone, his hair shading his eyes, as Natsu nods, grabbing a member of Phantom Lord heading for the exit.
"You think you can beat me, to the strongest dragon slayer?!! Hahaha!!! You're a joke like those people from yesterday" Gajeel laughed as suddenly Jeff's flames burst, causing it to be so hot people were sweating furiously even Erza's armour was feeling a little too hot to wear.
"Don't make a deal you can't keep up with, because……" Jeff said as everything felt slow, the demonic energy flowing off of him was too much for most to handle causing the weak ones to faint.
"What are yo-" Gajeel said but was cut off, looking down he saw Jeff's right hand in his gut but his arms were completely black.
"...the devil will collect his due" Jeff said raising his head, his half lidded eyes void of emotion, horns grown from his head; just then he pulls his hand back, raising his left hand to Gajeel's face.
"Burn!" Jeff said firing off a huge amount of hellfire, pushing the dragon slayer back while burning his face in the process.
"Gaaaah!!!" Gajeel cried in pain, being blown away but is caught by a member of the Element 4, known as Aria, before disappearing.
"Retreat!!!" Erza exclaimed as the other FT members do so, slightly zoning out on what happened while dealing with Gajeel, Jeff failed to learn there and then that Makarov had been weakened to the point of having almost no magic.
Later at FT guild basement…….
Everyone was getting patched up, making plans and preparing to fight Phantom Lord, Makarov was taken to see a doctor in the Eastern woods of Magnolia, Natsu having saved Lucy brought her back only for them to learn that she was royalty but that didn't change anything as Natsu states that she is a part of Fairy Tail and nothing can change that; while that happened, Mira tried reasoning with Laxus come help the guild but the bastard seemed happy that his grandfather was down, feeling like he not only take the title as guild master but also wanted Lucy to be his for his own perverted need, even requesting Mira to strip that didn't happen as a fireball causing them to look at the perpetrator only to see Jeff's hand on fire.
"We don't need that loser, he's no good for the guild and if given the position would run the place into the ground by his own stupidity" Jeff said standing up, cracking his neck and stretching out.
"We can't let him break our spirits, especially yours Mira, even for an S class wizard" Cana said.
"We may not have master, Mystogan and Laxus, but you have me and I've yet to even show the fruit of my training" Jeff said with a reassuring smile, causing Mira and Cana to be touched though the peace is interrupted when a mobile guild's presence is made known, causing everyone to think of what they had in store.
"Fire the magic focused cannon, Jupiter" Jose said.
"Yes sir" An operator said, getting ready to fire Jupiter.
"Everyone get down now!!!" Erza commanded re-equipping into her Adamantine Armour.
"This is crazy, no matter how high the defense level of the armour is, it's too dangerous" Nab said.
"Erza! Get back it'll kill you" Jet said as Natsu tries to stop her but is held back by Gray, while Lucy is frozen in fear.
"GET DOWN!!!" Erza exclaimed as the cannon was fired, but as it got close Jeff jumps over her and a katana in hand, using the cursed blade Shin'en.
"Jeff?!" Erza thought in shock.
"Iai! Devil Technique: Dismantle!" Jeff said unsheathing and sheathing his katana, turning around; the blade had a blue hilt, a crimson and black blade with flame patterns on the crimson side of the blade.
"Save your magic for the battle ahead" Jeff said as the blast explodes halfway across the way to Fairy Tail; everyone was shocked, he'd just stopped a full blast from Jupiter, but not only that but his hands were black stopping around the elbow with black spots aiming higher, his horns were out and the tips of those two parts were neon green.
"H-H-He stopped a blast from Jupiter?!" Natsu and Gray thought.
"How?!" Jose exclaimed now scared shitless of the mage.
"What's with the look?" Jeff asked nonchalantly, as Erza collects herself and composes herself.
"Nevermind" Erza said.
"Whatever, I'm going to end Phantom Lord, keep up" Jeff said, slinging his scabbard and katana over his shoulder, forming wings and taking off for Phantom Lord.
"I still can't believe he stopped it" Macao said.
"Listen Fairy Tail, I want Lucy Heartafilia and I want her now! You have fifteen minutes, it takes fifteen minutes to charge Jupiter so choose carefully!!!" Jose said.
"We'd rather die than give her up!!!" Erza exclaimed.
"No matter what you say, our answer will forever be the same!!!" Natsu exclaimed, suddenly soldiers were hopping out of the guild and charging for Fairy Tail, though they weren't actual humans but ghost soldiers known as Shades.
"Then so be it, you have to make one decision out of the two options now, die by Jupiter or by my troops" Jose said.
"We won't be the one dying today" Jeff said.
