While the battle continued to rage on, Natsu met the first of the Element 4, The Great Fire, Totomaru, which provided to be very troubling to fight though he was soon able to see through his magic, able to destroy the Lacrima that gave life to Jupiter, though that was all for naught especially when Jose turned the guild into a giant Mecha known as the Super Mage Giant Phantom MK II; due to the motion Natsu is rendered useless due to his motion sickness, seeing this Totomaru tried to finish Natsu with Rainbow Fire but was stopped by Gray, who frozen the S class mage and then gets thrown into the sky by Elfman.
Getting a read on what was happening, the three split up to fight off the remaining Element 4 to stop the Abyss Break spell the mech was starting, while Natsu ran into Aria, The Great Wind, Elfman ran into Sol, The Great Earth, who was beating the shit out of the take over mage but seeing that his elder sister, Mirajane, might be killed caused him to push past his previous mistakes using a full take over which was successful allowing the dark skinned make to beat Sol and still retain his sense of reason.
Where is Jeff you may ask, well right now he was on, what he assumed, a roof of the shoulder of the Mecha where it was raining, staring nonchalantly at Juvia Lockser, The Great Sea, who was also staring at him.
"It would seem I have run into the female of the group, my name is Jeff and I will be the one to take car-" Jeff said before stopping.
"Is something the matter? Why do you not attack Juvia?" Juvia asked as she saw his feature go back to normal, opening his hand and looking at the rain gathered in the hand.
"Why are you so sad?" Jeff asked as Juvia is slightly shocked that he'd asked such a question.
"How does he know?" Juvia thought as Jeff walked up to her, stopping at least 4 feet from Juvia and looking each other in the eyes; looking into his eyes and taking in his features, she felt her heart pound and a blush crept into her face.
"Too close!!!" Juvia thought in panic.
"Why are you sad?" Jeff asked.
"How can you tell? Juvia might be fooling you" Juvia said.
"It's easy, I know the feeling of being lonely, whenever it rains I open the windows, I listen and talk to it, the rain is my only friend I can tell my problems to, the rain is here for those that are down but no one knows, I hope to one day dance with the rain in the rain; damn, I sound like an idiot, but my feelings aside, what about you?" Jeff said, ranting before chuckling and asking, as Juvia looks at him with stars in her eyes.
"He can talk to the rain, he tells them his problems……….if the rain listened, will he listen to Juiva's, a rain woman?" Juvia thought.
"J-J-Juvia has been lonely for a long time, everyone doesn't like Juvia because Juvia makes it rain, not many want to be with Juvia even when she joined Phantom Lord…….. that's why she's always sad" Juvia said.
"Damn, that's sad for someone as beautiful as yourself" Jeff said with a smile, as Juvia turns red.
"A-Anyways, Juvia doesn't wish to fight you" Juvia said, turning around, heart beating faster and her blush covering her face.
"H-H-He called Juvia beautiful! God he must be the one! I want him to be mine!" Juvia thought as Jeff grabs her shoulder.
"Hey, can you tell me how to stop the Mecha?" Jeff asked as on instinct, she reacted immediately.
"Water Lock!" Juvia chanted, capturing Jeff in a huge body of water, causing him to gasp for air but acting fast, changing his hair color using Hellfire to burn the water.
"Sorry, I must have startled you" Jeff asked with a large sharp grin, causing her to blush looking away in embarrassment.
"It was Juiva's fault, anyways I shall end it" Juvia said, concentrating and cutting off her link, causing the Mecha to move slowly.
"Thank you" Jeff said, turning around, before raising his hands and blasting the sky taking away the rain; revealing the bright sky and sun to them.
"I bet with all that rain, you've probably never seen the bright blue sky and sun" Jeff said with a grin, before walking away.
"Wow! The bright sky and sun look, as well as, feel good, thank you Jeff-Sama" Juvia said with a smile, blushing a lot and enjoying the scene.
Later…….
Done with Juvia, Jeff heads to find the last member of the Element 4, but what was happening was that Natsu couldn't get a hit on the guy no matter how hard he tried, but he didn't give up and almost got killed though Erza showed up to save him in which she was able to beat Aria in one attack like it was nothing using her Heaven's Wheel Armour, even when he went full power able to finish the Abyss Break spell, but it still wasn't enough; once that battle was over, Natsu headed for the top to find Lucy and Gajeel, their battle commences with Natsu seemingly on even terms but as the fight dragged on it would seem Gajeel was more than Natsu could handle, Lucy coming to the rescue with Sagittarius who helped by providing fire for Natsu to eat, with him at full power he was able to beat Gajeel while destroying the Mecha in the process.
While Mira, Elfman and Gray were knocked out by Jose, Erza seemingly stood her ground against the Wizard Saint but it wasn't enough as he overpowered her, revealing he was not only going to keep Lucy but wringe her family dry till the Heartafilia family was under his rule, but Titania countered stating that Lucy ran away from home which was slightly shocking to the guild master but he couldn't care much; just then when he was going to strike the finishing blow, Jeff shows up with Makarov nullifying the Phantom Lord guild's masters magic and saving Erza.
"Twice I had to save you, so I have at least 40 more times to repay you for saving me" Jeff said with a large grin, causing Erza to smile a little before he dropped her on the floor.
"Makarov and another one of his upstart kids, what do I owe this special occasion?" Jose said with a smirk.
"You have hurt and made my children cry, you will pay" Makarov said.
"You know that you're out to cause a natural disaster" Jose said.
"If it's for my family, then yes I will cause such" Makarov said.
"Master, you just got better, it's best to rest, I will take care of him" Jeff said.
"Sorry, my child but I cannot lose you after 5 years" Makarov said as Jeff sighs, but charges at Jose, his devil traits back and in the blink of an eye the devil was behind Jose, and the clown had a slash across his chest.
"Fast, I almost didn't see him" Makarov thought.
"I almost got split, thank God I moved at the last second" Jose thought, clutching his bleeding chest, as Jeff turned around with his katana in full view.
"I'm surprised you dodged, most won't even see me coming" Jeff said as the blade absorbs the blood on it.
"Now that I look at you, now I remember you" Jose said.
"Really" Jeff said, raising his left hand, slightly clutching it to crack the bones.
"Ah yes, Jeffery Hades, the weak one from 5 years ago, how is the harlot of a mother?" Jose said as Jeff snapped.
"What did you say?" Jeff asked.
"Does he know much more about Jeff than I thought?" Makarov and Erza thought.
"You heard me, the woman who was said to be the strongest of her island, the prince and her were in love to the point of trying to conceive a child but failed due to the prince being impotent, but he bled her of being barren, seeing as no man wanted her she fell into despair and summoned the devil himself, in exchange for a child she gave him her soul, soon enough at 6 months she gave birth to the child of the devil, you the bastard child who watched as his mother was burnt at the stake for such a crime against humanity" Jose said exposing Jeff's past, completely shocking Makarov and Erza.
"Devil? How can he be such?!" Makarov exclaimed.
"So that would mean he isn't even a demon from the Book of Zeref" Erza thought.
"So what, I am different from that bastard, I am better" Jeff said.
"Don't worry about being better, I'll send you to that embrace of that demon incubator" Jose said using Dead Wave, but Jeff nullified it with his hand.
"You have 3 seconds to take back what you said" Jeff said, summoning two katanas from a portal, taking the two and unsheathing them; one having a brown hilt and silver blade, while the other had a wine hilt and dark green blade.
"Requip magic?!" Erza thought.
"1" Jeff said, putting Shin'en to his mouth, clutching it between his teeth.
"A sword style that includes 3 swords?" Makarov thought.
"That's impossible, how strong must the jaw be to perform such a sword style?" Erza thought.
"There is nothing I regret" Jose said.
"2" Jeff said, taking a stance, crossing his arms holding the two katanas up.
"Thank you for teaching me this style Zoro" Jeff thought.
"There is no way you can win! DEAD WAVE!!!" Jose said using his spell again, sending it towards Jeff.
"3! Devil Technique: 7 Gates of Hell! ONI GIRI!!!" Jeff said through his teeth, black and red energy pouring out from him releasing a deadly aura, 7 black orbs appearing above him before they start seeping into the blades, before charging at Jose, pushing through his Dead Wave and cutting Jose and within seconds a large explosion happens causing the defeat of Jose.
"Never underestimate me or Fairy Tail" Jeff said, dispelling the swords, moving to grab everyone and leave, after evacuating the others and coming to terms with Lucy, Makarov chose to speak with Jeff in private.
"My boy, why didn't you tell me sooner?" Makarov asked.
"It hurts to still talk about it, even though I have moved past it I can't bring myself to talk about it" Jeff said looking away.
"We are family aren't we, it is understandable but you should've at least told me something small, even that is better than nothing" Makarov said.
"I'm sorry I may have made it seem like I don't trust you, please forgive me" Jeff said bowing.
"You are forgiven, but we will keep this amongst us……….is that right Erza?" Makarov said seeing as Titania was hiding and listening in, before coming out of her hiding spot.
"Yes master, Jeff I am sorry for your loss" Erza said.
"No problem, also don't say sorry on this matter, it makes it seem like you did it" Jeff said with his arms crossed.
"Sure" Erza said with a small smile, as Jeff gave her one back, as they all walk back to the crowd.
"Also, I think we might have some problems to deal with" Jeff said, pointing at the Time Knights, as Makarov cries.
"Master pull yourself together" Erza said.
