Our story begins with Sonic the Hedgehog running through Green Hill Zone, enjoying his adventures as usual. Doctor Eggman has been absent for a long time and the world is safe again for now, but little does Sonic know that someone sinister is watching him...

The speedster stops running and lets a blue Flicky land on his arm before he gently and lovingly scratches the bird's head while petting it and complimenting the cuteness of his animal friends in the animal kingdom.

"Who's a good little Flicky?" Sonic says happily, "You're a good bird, yes, you are." The Flicky tweets and chirps contently in response and nuzzles the blue speedster, happy to be with the one who'd saved its kind from the evil Eggman on countless occasions.

Suddenly, the peace is ruined when storm clouds gather in the sky above and thunder booms. Sonic looks up as his Flicky friend flutters away in terror, lightning flashes and a towering figure drops to the ground, the earth cracks beneath his feet as he lands.

Knowing that this newcomer is a likely enemy, Sonic gets into a combat position. The being is a tall, muscular pale-skinned human male with red tattoos clad in Greek armor. Sonic's new foe glares at him and draws two swords, yellow eyes gleaming with rage.

"And who are you?" Sonic asks, curious about his new foe.

"I am Kratos," Kratos replies, "Spartan demigod warrior, Son of the lightning god Zeus and destroyer of all. I have traveled across time and space to challenge you, Sonic the Hedgehog. Prepare to be destroyed by the might of my powers and my blades."

"Oh really? I don't think so." Sonic remarks with a smirk, "If you think you can take me down, then you got another thing comin', Kratos. But if it's a fight you want, I'll gladly give it to ya. So, what are we waitin' for? Let's do it to it."

"May your arrogance be your downfall, hedgehog." Kratos raises one of his swords and points the blade at the blue speedster, "As the son of the Olympian sky god, I can easily channel his power to use lightning, now prepare to face your inevitable destruction."

With no words left to say, the large warrior charges at the speedy blue hedgehog and swings his blades, trying to skewer him, but Sonic ducks and dodges the attack easily. He curls up into a ball and spin-dashes between the legs, confusing Kratos as he looks for him.

Sonic takes advantage of his enemy's confusion and hits him in the back with a homing attack, knocking down Kratos on his front. Sonic sticks his tongue out and taunts him in a very smug manner. "You're too slow." The speedster says with a chuckle.

"I'll make you pay for this!" Kratos snarls as he gets back up, the powerful demigod snaps his fingers and calls down a lightning storm in an attempt to fry Sonic, but the hedgehog is too fast for Kratos as he evades all of the lightning strikes.

Amidst the chaos, Sonic notices that his animal friends are in danger and tries to save as many Flickies, Pockies and Rickies as he could. While he is able to save most of them, one Pocky is unfortunate as a lightning bolt hits him and he is blown to bits in seconds.

Seeing how ruthless his enemy is, the hedgehog glares at Kratos, knowing what he must do to make sure that nobody else gets hurt. "You're so gonna regret that." The hedgehog remarks angrily, his emotions are taking over and he is thinking of his own trump card.

"Bring it, hedgehog..." Kratos taunts, "The end is near and there is no other tactic left that you can pull off, as you can see, I have destroyed one of your friends. This shows you're not invincible, what can you do to beat me? I don't see that you have any tricks up your sleeve."

"How about this?!" Sonic replies, he has thought of the Chaos Emeralds and is summoning them mentally. The seven multi-colored gemstones appear out of thin air and surround the brave speedster, filling him with strength. In seconds, Sonic transforms into Super Sonic.

Kratos sees this and is outraged, he screams several curse words in Greek and demands to know how all of this is possible. Sonic wags his finger and responds, "Through the powers of courage and bravery, anyone like me can use the seven emeralds."

"I'LL TEAR YOU APART UNTIL THE ONLY THING THAT IS LEFT IS YOUR HEAD!" The tattooed warrior bellows, "I will take your decapitated head to Olympus and offer it up as proof of my victory over you, YOU WILL BE DESECRATED MERCILESSLY!"

Kratos charges at Super Sonic, determined to slice him to pieces and fulfill his violent promise, but the hedgehog is still faster and stronger in his super form. Sonic flies circles around the warrior, dodging sword slices and punches from the enraged Kratos.

"STOP MOVING SO I CAN HIT YOU!" The son of the Olympian lightning god shouts angrily, "I'LL RIP YOUR HEAD OFF AND BREAK YOUR LIMBS UNTIL YOUR BODY IS A SQUASHED MESS THAT WILL STAIN THE GROUND OF THIS VALLEY FOREVER!"

Hearing the new threat makes Sonic chuckle smugly and he replies, "Looks like Zeus and the mighty gods of Olympus shouldn't have sent ya to mess with me, pal. You're so stupid, your family must be laughing at your lack of intelligence right now just as I am."

"YOU TAKE THAT BACK!" Kratos attacks and punches Super Sonic in the face hard enough to send him crashing into a tree, the hedgehog still feels the pain even in his super form. He recovers and sees his mortal enemy charging at him, seeking to skewer Sonic.

At the last second, Super Sonic leaps off the tree and flies out of the way, watching as Kratos trips over the tree and falls on his face. The demigod stands up and recovers, now blinded by rage. He yells angrily and throws his swords at Sonic, trying to graze him.

"Still too slow!" Super Sonic taunts as he dodges Kratos' weapons, the swords fly back into their owner's hands. Shocked by his foe's strength, Kratos loses his temper and lunges at the hedgehog, attacking more aggressively and desperately trying to cut Sonic down.

With the powers of the Chaos Emeralds and hardly tiring out, Super Sonic flies around and avoids the incoming attacks, even when he has a close call as Kratos grazes his arm. Sonic flies circles around his enemy, evading attacks and trying to confuse his opponent.

Eventually, Kratos loses his breath and gets tired. He holds his head and kneels over, trying to regain his breath and strength, at this point, Super Sonic sees an opening and knows he can end the fight before Kratos can attack again.

Knowing what he is about to do, Sonic flies towards the tired Kratos at high speed, fist raised while his super aura glows brighter. Before the demigod of war can regain his full strength, Sonic spin-dashes through his torso and punctures a hole through him.

The super-powered hedgehog turns and holds up Kratos' heart, revealing that he took it out in the seconds he went through him. Kratos drops to his knees, his face full of shock, and then collapses on his front. The battle is over, Sonic's enemy is no more.

Sonic reverts back to his normal form and descends to the ground, he throws away Kratos' heart and observes his corpse. The hedgehog has never ended a life before, so he almost feels sorry for the guy...

"I'll say, that was intense." The speedster remarks, "Anyways, I gotta take a shower, we don't want any blood on us after this fight. Well, I gotta get goin' before somethin' crazier happens. As for you..." He taps Kratos' body with his foot, "I'll deal with ya later."

With those words, the speedster races off. No sooner than he's left, the lifeless corpse ignites into flames and burns to ashes. Then the ash become dust and is swept away by the wind. An armored figure appears out of thin air, observing the spot where Kratos lay.

Ares, the god of war, cusps his chin and crosses his arms before commenting with a shrewd smile, "That fight was quite the scene, a pity that Kratos didn't live. I gave him so much strength, yet it didn't stop a hedgehog from destroying him in battle."

Just then, a robed man appeared next to Ares. "Kratos was my son, just like many others." Zeus said with a hint of fury, "But that hedgehog killed him. But very soon, he will regret it." The two gods nod and vanish into thin air, all is now calm in Green Hill Zone...
