Disclaimer: I unfortunately do not own these characters.

Previously on The Human Diaries:

"Well, that is Katherine Pierce," Elena muttered dryly. She gave a look to Katherine that read as 'nice going, bigshot.'

All of the girls who had been at the girl's night just a few months ago looked back and forth between the Heberts, Katherine and Stefan. This began to freak Stefan out. All the looks, and not to mention the quick math he did in his head.

"Why are you all looking at me like that?" Stefan asked.

"Hi…" Maria stepped forward. "My name is Maria Hebert and I was adopted. My birth parents are Katherine Pierce and Stefan Salvatore."

Stefan's face turned white as he looked from Maria to Katherine.

Katherine could hear the gasps and the murmurs from all of the guests get drowned out by the blood pumping into her ears. She couldn't believe this was happening. Stefan turned to her with a look of utter betrayal and disappointment.

She couldn't blame him.

She waited way too long to tell him.

Katherine stepped forward towards Stefan. "Stefan, I—"

"Don't." Stefan shook his head. "I don't want to talk to you."

For once in her life, Katherine had no words to say.

Thankfully, Elena did.

"Alright. Everyone who is not Stefan, Katherine or Elijah needs to go outside! This baby shower is almost over so you can either leave or make your way outside," Elena announced.

As the party began to scatter, Katherine just stood frozen in her spot. Her legs were immobile. She saw Stefan tell the family that he's sorry and to give him a moment before walking out the front door. Damon started to chase after his brother, but Elena grabbed his elbow.

Katherine felt a soft touch on her shoulder, and she knew just from the sensation she felt calm in her body that it was Elijah. He rested his lips on her hair and whispered in her ear, "Would you like to go meet your daughter?"

Before she could run away, he grabbed her hand and squeezed it. She took a deep breath. She didn't think she'd be able to get through this if he wasn't by her side. She's so thankful that he's so understanding.

Unlike someone else she had loved.

She immediately shook her bitter emotions. It wasn't fair to him.

"Hello, I am Elijah Mikaelson, Katherine's husband," Elijah introduced himself as he guided Katherine closer to her daughter.

"Nice to meet you," Marcus said as he and Amelia both shook Elijah's hand.

"You look great, Katherine," Amelia smiled. Last time she saw the brunette was when the girl was fourteen years old. She's definitely not fourteen anymore. Her frizzy hair has been contained. Amelia couldn't believe that the young teenager who gave her baby up for adoption was now twenty-six and married, not to mention beautiful and successful.

"Thank you," Katherine smiled. She looked down at Maria. "Hi."

"Hi," Maria returned the shy smile. "I'm sorry for interrupting the party."

"Don't be," Elijah shook his head. "We are glad to meet you. What can we do for you?"

"Maria just wanted to know where she came from," Marcus explained. "She's not looking for a relationship if that creates any complications."

"It's for a school project I'm doing. The theme is how can making certain decisions make your life better. I told my teacher that I was adopted and that my birth mother was fourteen when she had me. She suggested finding you and Stefan to know how your lives have turned out."

"That's a really great project," Elijah cheered. "Both Katherine and Stefan have wonderful success stories. And you can also talk to John Gilbert, Katerina's biological father."

"Yeah, it's a pretty interesting topic," Katherine added. Her smile dropped after hearing that her daughter only seeked her out for a school project.

"I just want to say that I would've wanted to meet you anyway," Maria touched Katherine's hand. "The project gave me the excuse and the guts to make the trip all the way out here." Katherine smiled and made her hand hold Maria's.

Elijah smiled as he looked at his wife, who had such a sincere smile on her face. Elijah knew that Katherine never felt wanted in her life, that she was always running from something. But it turns out she was just running towards something: love. And someone to love her. He wanted her and he loved her. And now, here is the daughter who could absolutely hate her for giving her up being kind and curious. He knew that his wife felt just as wanted and loved by this fourteen-year-old girl as him and the twins make her feel every day.

"Stefan!" Caroline shouted as she wobbled out to his car, which he was sitting in. "Where are you going?"

"I am not sure, Caroline. I've been sitting here trying to decide whether I should stay or drive far away," Stefan answered.

"I think you should stay," Caroline said as she inhaled a deep breath. "Sorry, I shouldn't have run out to you, phew, I'm not in shape—"

"You're pregnant, Caroline," Stefan laughed. "I probably wasn't going anywhere—"

"How was I supposed to know that!" She laughed as she sat in his passenger's seat. "Listen, I know you feel extremely hurt by Katherine—and Elena and I—"

"You and Elena?" Stefan asked. "You two knew about this?"

"I've only known for a few months," Caroline admitted. "I wanted to tell you so bad, but it wasn't my secret to tell. Elena has known for a long time, but she also felt like it wasn't her secret to tell. Listen, Katherine never thought she'd see you again. The baby was with a loving family, what would have been the point in telling you? It would've been a different story if she kept the baby."

"I understand that," Stefan said. "I just wish someone would have realized that I deserved to know. Because I did."

"I know that. I'm really sorry. And on behalf of Katherine, I know she's really really really REALLY sorry. She was just scared to tell anyone. It's not an easy thing to talk about. Especially not in high school."

"Katherine and I are family now, though," Stefan pointed out. "We've been friends for a long time after high school—"

"Come on, you hated her for years," Caroline laughed.

"She was a selfish bitch," Stefan shrugged.

"But she's not anymore. She does care about your feelings Stefan. By the time she realized it, she felt like it was too late. You have to see it from her perspective."

Stefan nodded.

"Be angry and be upset if you need to be, but there is a very beautiful young girl in there who is your daughter. You should go talk to her," the blonde rested her hand on her friend's.

Katherine and Maria were sitting on a bench in the front of the Boarding House. Elijah stayed inside with Amelia and Marcus.

As they started out doing small talk, Katherine watched many of the guests from the baby shower leave. Where they were sitting was secluded enough that she could see the people leave but they couldn't see her.

"So, my first question," Maria began. "Did you love my… dad?"

"What does this have to do with your school project?" Katherine raised her eyebrow.

"It's for me," Maria answered.

"Of course, I did. At least, I thought I did. But I loved him for selfish reasons. I was not a good person back then. I really only loved myself."

"What about now?"

"I'm a different person in that aspect. And I have Elijah to thank for that. And my two little babies," the brunette smiled. "You have two half siblings. Sophia and Hayden are our twins who are almost 14 months old. Want to see pictures?" Maria nodded vigorously.

"Awh, so cute!" Maria squealed as Katherine took out her phone and showed her pictures of the twins.

"You should come over and meet them, someday. I mean, I'm sure you'll meet them in a few minutes, but you should come over and get to spend time with them."

Maria smiled sadly. "We are only here for one day. Our flight back home leaves at 10pm."

Katherine's smile faltered.

"Anyway," Maria changed the subject. "Tell me about your life and why you decided to give me up for adoption."

Katherine took a deep breath. "Well… I was fourteen. The father of my baby was a summer fling who had gone back home… I never thought I'd see him again. I couldn't have a baby. I didn't want a baby. I couldn't do it alone."

"What about your parents?"

"I was adopted myself. At this point in time, I was really upset with my parents because they never told me the truth that I was adopted. My mother was sick, and I was just really angry about it and at them. I didn't want their help. But I knew I had to give this child—you—a great life with great opportunities. I may not like my parents, but they gave me the chance for opportunities beyond imagination. I am thankful for them. So, I searched for the right adoptive parents to adopt you. Your parents were perfect right from the beginning. But the only request I had was that they tell you the truth about being adopted when you were old enough to understand it. Not to wait until you discovered it on your own and build up resentment for all of the lies and secrets, like I did."

"I've known for a few years now,"

"How did they tell you?"

Maria took a deep breath. "They sat me down one day when I was seven and told me."

"Seven?" Katherine raised her eyebrows.

"Yeah. Child experts say that the ages between six and eight are the best time because by age six children feel established enough in their own family to not feel threatened about the fact that they were adopted. They told me about you right away. They had pretty fond stories."

"I truly doubt that. I was a nightmare to be around."

"Maybe so, but you gave them me so they're pretty thankful for you and remember you fondly," Maria smiled.

Katherine smiled back. That was nice to hear that at least two people liked her when she was younger. Even Elena and Caroline, who Katherine is very close with now, tell her that they do not have fond memories of high school with her.

"So… it's time to get back to the question," Maria stated. "You had that request for my parents. What did you do once I was adopted?"

"I lived my life. I truly didn't change a thing. You would've thought I'd learn some lesson. My parents were ashamed of me being having a baby at fourteen. Our whole town knew about it. So, they decided to move. Here, to Mystic Falls. Ironically enough, this is where Stefan and his brother Damon moved to live with their Uncle after their father died. And this is also where my biological family is from, and where my long-lost twin sister, Elena, lives. My parents did not know it at the time. My dad requested a transfer at work, and this was where they put him. Stefan was the one who introduced me and Elena, and it broke my heart because they were dating. Remember I said I was bad person? I tried relentlessly to break them up. It didn't work. Until our summer before senior year when Stefan and Elena were taking a break. Stefan and I got back together for a little while and I got pregnant again."

"Really? What happened with this baby?" Maria asked.

"My parents did not want to have to move again so they shipped me to Bulgaria to live with some extended family for my senior year. I had an uncle who was not too keen on babies out of wedlock—this was the old country—so let's just say I had a miscarriage while in Bulgaria and I came home a few weeks after senior started. To my dismay, 'Stelena' was back together."

"I am so sorry. For everything. It all sounds truly horrible. Your parents, your uncle, your heartbreak… I can't even imagine."

"The beginning of my senior year I was depressed. I befriended someone who was just as depressed as I was, and he became my best friend. He's Elijah's little brother, Kol. Together we formed a friendship that was really fun and just what both of us needed. We never dated though, ew. I eventually got to my old self, joined the cheerleading squad where Elena and her friends were, and I just went back to being a bitch to them. Eventually though, Elena and I overcame our differences and we became friends and acknowledged each other as sisters. It took a long time, but we got there. Caroline and I became friends, and I even mended my relationship with Stefan and Damon—although, if you ask Damon he will deny that we are friends, and I usually do too, but since it's you I am talking to I won't," Katherine laughed. "I went to college with my friends and I did fashion school and I met Elijah and I started a clothing business online with my old best friend from home and it kicked off. I had no control really. The designs were popular. Eventually I had enough money to start an actual business and got picked up by clothing stores to sell my clothes. We started the company in New York, but eventually I ran things from home. Now, I run everything from my tiny little store in the middle of town. I fired my manager and my old best friend, and I am learning all the business aspects as well. It wasn't too hard," she smirked.

"Do you think that if you had kept me that you wouldn't have been able to do those things?"

Katherine took a second to ponder. "Go to college? Possibly, with arrangements. Start a business online? Yes. Have it take off? No."

"You said you gave me up to give me better opportunities? Is that really the truth?"

"Yes and no. I was capable of giving you everything you could've wanted. I just didn't want to. I was selfish, and I wanted to live my life. But I made sure that you would have a good one. Without me."

"My last question is… How did you fall in love with Elijah?"

Katherine glanced down on the engagement and wedding ring set that sparkled on her fingers. "I just did. He was different from every other guy that I knew. He snuck up on me. I wasn't expecting to fall in love with him and have the life that we do have when I started seeing him."

"Did you see a future when you loved—oh hey, Stefan," Maria stood up greet her biological father. "You stayed." The young girl smiled.

Stefan gave her a small smile back. "Yeah, uh… Hi." Maria did a quick little hug with him, which made him chuckle.

Katherine stood up and wiped her eyes. She didn't know when she started crying, but she didn't want Stefan to see her cry. "We were just about done," she shook her head as she wiped down her dress. "It was really nice to see you, Maria." She leaned forward to embrace her daughter and kiss the top of her head. She perhaps hugged her a little longer than she should have, but she didn't know when she'd see her again. "The answer to your question is yes," she whispered. "I really wanted there to be one."

"Wait, Katherine, you were going to introduce me to your twins!" Maria mumbled into Katherine's shoulder.

Kat pulled away from the hug and glanced at Stefan. "Do you mind? And then she's all yours?"

Stefan nodded. "Sounds great," he smiled softly. Maria led the way around the corner of the house, and Stefan fell in line next to Katherine. He reached out to grab her hand, and she was nervous about what he was going to say. But what he said left her in a trance, that she fell behind.

He said, "I loved you too, you know."

"Wow, yesterday was kind of crazy, right?" Rebekah asked the following night at Mikaelson Family Dinner, hosted by the lovely Klaus and Caroline Mikaelson.

"Very crazy," Caroline agreed.

"So much happened," Bonnie added.

Everyone turned to Katherine because they wanted details on how it went with her daughter. Most people had left by the time the duo came back inside so Maria could meet Sophia and Hayden. And then Katherine and Elijah took their family and left so Stefan could get to know her. At this point in time, it was only Damon and Elena and John left. Elena and Damon as it was their house, and John because he had no idea that Katherine made the same decision that himself and Isobel made.

Katherine just sat on the island with her glass of wine and rolled her eyes. Sage and Caroline sat on the two sides of Katherine, while Rebekah and Bonnie sat on the other side facing her, all four ladies resting their chins in their hands as they looked at Katherine. Freya was helping Klaus with the food behind them, while Kol and Elijah were pouring drinks for the non-pregnant ladies, and Finn was holding Lydia and sitting with Matt, Jonathan and Liz at the dining table.

"I think it went well," Elijah spoke as he noticed that Katherine was smiling into her wine glass, acting coy and not wanting to answer her friends. "Maria was doing a school project on how certain decisions people make when they're young make their lives better."

"That's interesting," Bonnie nodded. "Like?"

Katherine sighed. "You know. I gave her up at fourteen, and I got to grow up, start a successful business, get married and start a family on my own terms. I just told her about my life, and we chatted about hers a little, too. I assume she had a similar conversation with Stefan."

"I still can't believe you and Stefan had a baby," Kol shook his head in disbelief.

"Correction. I had the baby," Kat said.

"Stefan stopped by our house last night," Elijah prompted Katherine to continue talking.

Rebekah and Caroline both pounded their hands on the island, wanting more information.

"Geez, why are you all nosy?" Kat rolled her eyes. "I apologized to him and told him about the miscarriage I had in senior year."

"Hmmm?" Klaus appeared over Katherine's shoulder. "What now?"

"You're forgetting that not everybody knows the whole story," Sage said, referring to the male half of their family.

Katherine rested her forehead on her fingers in exasperation. She really hated telling this story, and she didn't really feel like having Klaus having pity for her.

"If I explain the story, can we promise not to say anything and immediately talk about something else?" Everyone nodded. "Also, so I can avoid this question at the end, and we can truly change the subject after I finish—Stefan doesn't hate me—"

After finishing the story, everyone got really quiet. Klaus wanted to reach out and touch Katherine's shoulder as he was standing right behind her, but he knew that she would bite his hand off if he did.

Katherine knew no one wanted to change the subject so she took matters into her own hands. "So, it sucks about Anna, huh?"

"Ugh, fuck, more sad baby news," Kol groaned. He shared a look with Klaus. After hearing Anna's pregnancy complications and now what happened to Katherine in Bulgaria, the two brothers were even more grateful for Bonnie and Caroline's successful pregnancies. Both of their due dates were slightly over a month away.

"Why don't we have a girls' movie night?" Liz suggested as she walked over to the counter. She was extremely slow and looked really pale. "And let's invite Elena."

"That sounds great," Caroline cheered. "I'll text 'Lena right now," the blonde said as whipped out her phone.

"I see where Care gets all her great ideas from," Bonnie smiled as she hugged Liz. The older blond kissed the top of the brunette's head.

"The guys can go out with the older kids," Rebekah suggested.

"And do what?" Kol asked.

"The arcade!" Tate screamed as he ran down the stairs, Hope and Emma right behind him, each holding a twin.

"You guys were just playing games," Elijah pointed out.

"NOT ARCADE GAMES!" Tate shouted, which then woke up baby Lydia and she started to cry. "Oops sorry," the small redhead put his index finger over her lips. He turned to Emma and whisper-shouted, "How dare you be so loud?"

"Me?" Emma whispered-shouted. "You're the loud one!"

All the adults chuckled at the children's antics. Sage stood to take Lydia from Finn, and the baby immediately stopped crying.

"Before we eat dinner, could I speak with my siblings really quick?" Klaus spoke.

"Offended," Katherine said. "What's so important that you can't tell your in-laws?"

Klaus looked from Katherine to Caroline to Bonnie to Matt to Sage. Then he looked at his siblings one by one, finally landing on the cluster of children. This does concern them as well.

Klaus sighed and took out his phone, searching through his texts for the photo that Camille sent him yesterday. "Marcel and Camille told me that there is this couple that strongly resemble Mikael and Esther in New Orleans." He passed the phone to Rebekah, who had her three other brothers look over her shoulder.

"That's uncanny," Finn remarked.

"That's impossible. Mikael and Esther are dead," Rebekah added.

"We buried them ourselves," Kol gritted his teeth.

"I don't understand how this is possible," Elijah said.

"I don't know," Klaus responded. "That's just what they told me."

"Maybe they just have doppelgangers?" Caroline suggested.

"Yeah, their doppelgangers found each other like a twisted romantic comedy," Kol rolled his eyes.

"That's not all. Marcel has a wall in his bar with pictures, and there's a couple of the kids. Our kids. The so-called doppelgangers of our parents have been found looking at the pictures of our kids."

"You're kidding?" Rebekah asked.

"That's what they told me," Klaus answered. "They don't know anything else."

"What do we do?" Freya asked.

"Nothing. If they're in New Orleans, what can we do? We are a thousand miles away." Rebekah said. "I mean they can't hurt us?"

"You guys sound crazy," Katherine spoke. "You really believe your parents faked their deaths, EIGHT YEARS APART, so they could be partners in crime and make your lives miserable from another state?"

"No, it is crazy," Rebekah agreed. "But what else is there to think?"

"Maybe those people are just lookalikes, and I mean those are cute babies on the wall I doubt they're the only ones admiring those pictures," Matt said. "Don't freak out about this, you guys," he said as he rested his arm around Rebekah while holding their son in his other arm. Rebekah perked up when she saw her baby and reached to pick him up. He cooed at her and she smiled.

"There's no point," Bonnie agreed. "You guys buried them yourselves, how could they fake that?"

"They could've if they really hated us that much and wanted to get away from us," Kol shrugged.

"You guys are so paranoid, jeesh," Sage sighed.

"I doubt your parents hated you," Liz spoke hoarsely. "You five are wonderful people, and I'm happy to leave my daughter with your family." Caroline was on the brink of tears as she looked at her mom. "I don't see how any parent could hate their child."

"You didn't know our parents," Klaus muttered.

"There are just certain people who shouldn't be parents, and Mikael and Esther were two of them," Rebekah said, holding her baby tight and tears threatening to leave her eyes.

"Wasn't that a great movie?" Emma exclaimed as the credits rolled in. Her and Hope won movie night so they picked Big Hero 6.

The six adult women, three pregnant and three who have been thought to have no heart, sat there bawling their eyes out.

"WHYYYYY?" Elena cried.

"ARE YOU SATISFIED WITH YOUR CARE?" Katherine quoted the movie while blowing her nose.

"I HATE EVERYTHING!" Rebekah shouted.

"HE SAVED THE MEMORY CARD," Caroline sobbed.

"This movie is just perfect, flawless, a masterpiece," Sage remained somewhat calm while blowing her nose.

"It wAs sO bEaUtIfUL," Bonnie exasperated.

Hope and Emma shared a look that was slightly frightened by their moms and aunts just breaking down because of Big Hero 6.

"FRIENDSHIP," Elena took a deep breath. "I am s-so glad to be friends w-with each and every one of y—you!"

"Oh my god," Freya looked at all her sister and sisters-in-laws. Freya was crying too, but not blubbering like those idiots.

Liz laughed lightheartedly. "It was a wonderful movie, girls, thanks for picking it."

"THANKS FOR PICKING IT?!" Rebekah screamed.

"How about you stop screaming before Sophia and Lydia wake up?" Sage hit the blonde's shoulder.

"I just had my heart ripped out and I'm not allowed to cry about it?" Rebekah asked the redhead.

"It's just a movie," she patted Rebekah's shoulder. "A beautiful, stupid movie about friendship and love—" Sage interrupted herself by letting out a big sob.

"You guys will be fine," Bonnie became the voice of reason as she wiper her eyes with her sleeves.

"Yes, you girls will be," Liz agreed as she squeezed Bonnie's hand. She reached out her other hand to hold Caroline's and motioned for Elena to join her hands with theirs. "Sometimes, you need a good cry."

Liz felt weird. She felt…almost peaceful while also hurting from every fiber in her body. She felt… tired.

"I think I am going to crash early tonight," Liz spoke. "It was a wonderful movie, Emma and Hope. I enjoyed girls' movie night."

"Thanks for sticking around with us," Bonnie smiled.

"Mom, I'll be up soon to tuck you in," Caroline grinned.

Liz chuckled. "I don't need to be tucked in, Caroline."

"But I want to," the blonde sang at her mother.

Liz looked at Katherine then Rebekah then Sage then Freya. She smiled at them. Then she looked at Elena and Bonnie and felt proud to have witnessed all of their hardships as teenagers to the successful young women they are today. And wonderful mothers. Finally, she looked at Caroline. Her heart couldn't even begin to explain the sense of pride and love she is overwhelmed with when she sees her daughter. And how she'll feel when she meets her granddaughter. "Tonight was a good night."

"Yes, it was," Elena agreed.

Liz tossed the blanket off of her legs and leaned forward to kiss the top of Caroline's head. "Goodnight girls," she smiled as she made her way towards the staircase, but not before hugging Emma and Hope.

"Goodnight!" All the girls cuddled up in blankets with bowls of popcorn and ice cream on their laps saluted.

Liz shot one last smile to her daughter before ascending the staircase. As she reached her room, she passed the nursery where Sophia and Lydia were sleeping until it was time for them to go home. She paused at the doorway and admired the two sleeping beauties. For a moment, she imagined seeing her granddaughter. A perfect combination of Klaus and Caroline. Blonde hair and blue eyes. A little Lizzie Mikaelson. Liz's heart beamed with pride and love and she felt happy. She reached her bedroom and felt weak. She decided to crawl into bed for a few minutes to gain back her strength before she got ready for bed.

The silk sheets felt really warm when she got underneath them. Soon, they got really hot. Until they were cold.

"Greetings," Klaus said as he entered his home with his brothers, Matt and Damon in his trail. Elijah was holding Hayden, Finn dangling Tate over his shoulder, and Damon doing the same with Christian. Matt carried Jonathan in the baby carriers on his chest.

"Hi!" Hope waved to her dad. "We were just about to put on Maleficent!"

"You guys are watching another movie?" Damon raised his eyebrows.

"We only watched one!" Emma explained.

"It made the adults cry," Hope admitted.

"Hey!" Katherine exclaimed as her husband chuckled from behind her.

"Big Hero 6 did a number on them," Emma grinned.

"Not fair," Bonnie stuck her tongue out at Emma.

"Hey, how come you can do that, but I can't?"

"Because I said so," Bonnie grinned as she grabbed Emma and started tickling her.

Caroline smiled at the moment between her best friend and niece. "Well, I am going to go say goodnight to my mom. Then the boys are welcome to stay for another movie." Care kissed Klaus on her way up the stairs.

"How was the arcade?" Elena asked her sleepy son as he walked from Damon over to Elena and plopped down on her lap.

"It was so fun," Christian opened his arms out wide, accidentally hitting Katherine in the face.

"Hey little weasel," Katherine teased.

"Were the kids good?" Sage asked.

"Of course," Finn answered.

"I beat Klaus and Damon at ping pong," Kol grinned. Both Klaus and Damon rolled their eyes.

"I think we needed to keep an eye on Kol more than Christian and Tate," Elijah chuckled, which made everyone laugh.

Only for their laughter to be drowned out by Caroline screaming, "MOM! WAKE UP!"

Klaus immediately ran up the stairs without a second's hesitation. Elena and Bonnie, ignoring the fact that they were both eight months pregnant, followed him up the stairs.

"Do not tell me this is happening…" Damon sighed.

"Is what happening?" Hope asked.

The nine-year-old's question got drowned out by Caroline's wailing.

When Caroline had reached her mother's room, she smiled at her mother already fast asleep. She turned on the light and noticed that her mom hadn't even changed into her pajamas. She decided to gently wake her up, in case she wanted to change before the night got too late. Except, her skin felt cold to touch. And something smelled wrong in the room. "Mom?" Caroline shook her mom. She noticed she wasn't breathing, and she had no pulse. "No, no, no, no," The blonde shook her head vigorously. "Mom, you can't be dead, MOM! WAKE UP!"

Caroline couldn't deny what was right in front of her. She couldn't.

She let out a giant wail and sobbed, even though she could head footsteps running up the hallway.

"Mommy… you were supposed to meet…" Caroline inhaled deeply and started choking on her sobs. She felt arms wrap around her body and she leaned into the warm body that appeared next to her. She sobbed into his shoulder. "She was supposed to meet baby Elizabeth…"

"I know, I know," Klaus whispered to his wife as he kissed her forehead. Klaus didn't want to look at the dead corpse of his mother-in-law, so he looked towards the door. He saw Elena and Bonnie standing in the doorway, tears rolling down their cheeks hysterically. He could see they desperately wanted to comfort their best friend, but there was nothing and no one that could make Caroline feel better at this moment.

Feel anything at all.

Hey guys! Sorry for the sad way of killing off Liz. It's just going to make sense with future chapters. But at least I'm not dragging it out anymore…

What do you guys think about Stefan, Katherine and Maria? It was a nice two-chapter drama! Should anything else happen with this storyline?

And are Esther and Mikael really still alive? What's happening with that storyline?

Next chapter will be a whole lot happier The next chapter will be up relatively shortly!
