Summary: It's 2 months later and 3 days until the Warblers leave for Nationals. However, there's one thing Blaine has failed to accomplish and today he is determined to get it done…some specifically promised "alone" time with Sebastian.
Notes: There was always a planned time jump, not a "Crap this is supposed to end in 17 chapters" moment.
June
Blaine left his meeting with the Head Master wondering where the time went. On Thursday they flew to LA for Nationals and returned on Sunday to nothing but packing, award ceremonies and graduation practices before the actual ceremony on Saturday...at least the Seniors did. Sebastian had already been announced as Valedictorian and was currently squirreled away in study cubical in the library working on his speech as well as studying for his last final, Business Management.
Maybe Santana was right about the whole Tour Manager premonition. This was Sebastian's favorite class.
After dropping his presentation back at his dorm room and changing into workout clothes, Blaine headed off to meet up with him. Back at Sugar Shack 2.0 he had told Sebastian he was going to turn him into his personal sex slave for a week but sadly, due to time, that never happened. However, he was determined to accomplish one of his goals and give his incredibly vocal boyfriend a blow job in the library. This was probably his final opportunity.
"Blaine!"
Shit! Never failed. "Jeff, I'm on my way to the library to see Bas. He wants me to look over his speech before he turns in a rough draft. Head Master Montgomery wants it sooner rather than later and Bas has an appointment after his final." It was a good thing Sebastian had an appointment with Dr. Shepard between his final and the marathon Warbler practice they had planned for this evening. He had been on edge lately as his mother had not been doing well. Thus, another reason for the long-awaited blow job.
If Blaine could ever get to the library.
"Sorry, it's just…I talked to Sam. How can we convince you we're ok to share a space at Anderson Towers so you Seb can live together?"
For the love of…don't get him wrong. Blaine was beyond relieved when Sam admitted he was starting to have feelings for Nichole and Jeff said he understood (especially since they were still dealing with the lovesick Thad pining for Kitty).
What he wasn't prepared for was Jeff's announcement he was going to St. John's (like his father) instead of Harvard. After that the two blonds started having weekly Skype jam sessions and somehow Jeff became an unofficial member of Blam's yet to be named band.
"Bas is living with his sister in my old apartment. He's told everyone this. I've told everyone this. We're too young to live together but it won't be like he won't be having sleepovers…and stop calling the building Anderson Towers."
"We know but we've all been to the lofts and while Sebastian isn't necessarily as loud as he used to be…"
Blaine stopped and contemplated why he thought it was a good idea to buy the building in the first place. "Because of the studios, all rooms, including bedrooms, which will have walls, will be soundproofed. Happy?"
Jeff could tell he had gone one step too far. "Yep, all good. I'm sure you have everything worked out and I know my parents are super happy I'll be in such a secure building. See you at practice" he said before getting away as quickly as possible. His dad had been working with Blaine's hands and was hopeful he might be able to box again while still being able to play his instruments.
He didn't want to be the first one to find his face on the end of one of Wolverine's rehabbed fists.
With Jeff's abrupt exit, Blaine got about another 30 feet before he stopped again. He received a text, but if it hadn't been set to a specific tone he would have ignored it.
From Uncle Robert: Done. All conditions agreed to except judge changed your last-minute request from full 2 years to 1 if no violations. The confidentiality agreement held up and in effect.
He could live with that. He had been most concerned about the confidentiality agreement since it was signed without a lawyer…so, yeah, he's good.
Hopefully Sebastian would be too. All he ever wanted was for Kurt to be held accountable.
Kurt had to speak to officials in DC but in the end, they decided he was a stupid kid not a threat to National security and sent the case back to Ohio. However, he had to be released to the custody of someone pending trial and the Hudson-Hummels were ruled out due to conflict of interest. It wouldn't have happened anyway since Carole blamed Kurt for Finn moving to Paris and Burt was holding firm to his tough love strategy.
So, in came Cooper.
He rehired Kurt at Breadstix and rented him a horrible little room off the side of a storage shed. It wasn't to help him out. It was so Kurt knew he was always keeping an eye on him. He was thoroughly miserable, and since both Blaine and Sebastian decided they just didn't give a fuck how Kurt was punished as long as he was, when the Columbus DA suggested 2 years of probation under the current living/working conditions, plus mandated therapy, they agreed.
Then a week before final sentencing Kurt said some shit to Sugar.
Ok, yes, Cooper was making him work a banquet room full of members of the New Directions and Warblers watching a livestream of Blaine, Sebastian, Sam and Santana (Sam's date as a thank you) walking the red carpet of The Met Gala. Their Prom Proposal video had been released simultaneously on Teen Vogue's website and Blaine's YouTube channel and had gone viral. Then Anna released the video of Robert Downey Jr. surprising Blam to coincide with the latest Avengers movie premier. The boys' popularity was on the rise so Anna made sure the night was a proper introduction to the rich and famous for the three of them.
And when Anna Wintour is Co-Chair of the Met Gala, saying No isn't an option.
This was a lot to handle, but Kurt should have known better than to go after Blaine's Sweet Baby Cousin, especially after what happened to Will Schuester. When he heard what Kurt said, and even though he had been trying to get away from Consequences since his talk with Brody, this pissed Blaine off to where he added his request. Now Kurt had to physically check in with his parole officer in Columbus by 8AM, Monday thru Friday, for the first year of his probation.
No different than Kurt expecting him to drive from Westerville to McKinley every day, which he would have had to do if he hadn't secretly stayed with Sugar and his Uncle most nights. It was only fair.
Like he said, hopefully this news would help Sebastian relax before his final final (wow, that was weird to say). Speaking of helping Sebastian relax...
He went to shut off the ringer on his phone so he could focus on his mission. Before he could there was another text.
From Jackie: Call me ASAP!
That was weird and it definitely felt like it was from the President of his record company and not Beat's mother. But they had a deal. From the time he got back to Dalton from NYC until the week after he graduated, he got to be a schoolboy...a teenager. Plus, he was going to see her in LA at Nationals. Whatever this was could wait until he finished with Sebastian.
Yeah, that was bad but the train of thought gave him an idea. Sebastian would be expecting the voice, or for Blaine to pull out one of his other more domineering traits. What if he went down on Sebastian as a schoolboy…No! A bashful schoolboy?
"Blaine!"
Shit! "Nick, I'm trying to see Bas before he has to go take Mr. Mayfield's final."
"I'll walk with you."
Shit! "Fine" He knew what this was about and he really didn't want to deal with it. "But I am not getting in the middle of Sam and Nichole dating."
"I know, you've made that clear and my sister threatened to cut my balls off if I tried. No offense, but I'm more scared of her than you, even when you were Wolverine."
Blaine didn't stop but did lift his eyebrow in curiosity. "Then what's going on?"
"Why do I have to be in charge of babysitting Thad at Nationals? Wouldn't Trent be better? He's the one going to school to become a therapist like his mom."
Groooaaan…not this again. "Because you use to double date with him and Kitty when you dated Sugar." The mention of Sugar's name had Blaine stop to take the conversation more seriously. "Please tell me this isn't about my Sweetie Bear because you know she and Artie are dating even though they're taking it slow since her dad and his mom are dating too."
"I know and I'm happy for her" Nick answered, sounding sincere. "I mean I still care about her but with me in Mass and her in Ohio, it wasn't a good thing. At least Artie will be living at Anderson Towers so when she visits you, she'll see him. Oh, and did you know Rory will be in LA for Nationals?"
"Don't call it Anderson Towers and no. What does any of this have to do with Thad?"
"Nothing, Sugar just told me when she called. Remember how Kitty and Jake were fake dating in NYC to hopefully get Thad to accept the break-up and then went to McKinley's Prom together?"
"Yeah, it but it didn't work and all New Directions go to the Prom because they're the entertainment at all dances even though they're treated like shit the rest of the year."
"Well, Sugar says they're for real dating now. It was bad when Harwood saw them holding hands. What if he sees them making out when we're all in LA?"
Shit! This was something Blaine knew needed attention but he was at the library. "Ok, ok…when I'm done talking to Bas, I'll text Sugar and have her call me when she has a chance. But I really need to…"
"No, go talk to Seb. In fact, get his opinion on Trent handling our lovesick puppy. Later!" Nick took off and Blaine prepared himself for the last obstacle between him and Sebastian.
Loretta Alberts, Dalton's Head Librarian.
He didn't want to toot his own horn BUT after his tribute at the Julliard Concert, all the problems Dalton had been facing magically went away. Dalton Days, which was expected to be a fight for the Academy's survival, turned into a fundraising bonanza. Parents couldn't donate money fast enough and those who dared bring up the Dalton Scandal were informed if they wanted to pull their child there was now a waitlist three times longer than the school had ever experienced. None chose to do so.
Blaine didn't ask for anything EXCEPT a sizeable chunk of money go to the library. His reasons were entirely personal.
Mrs. Alberts hated him.
None of the other staff hated him, in fact, even before the money, he would say he was universally loved and was high on most lists of Favorite Student. It wasn't his fault back in his Sophomore year (Pre-Kurt) the Warblers held an impromptu performance in the library. It was his fault he jumped on the check-out counter and broke a 90 year-old, one of four ever made, Tiffany lamp.
He took a deep breath and walked over to the counter. The trickiest part of his plan involved the fact only one student was allowed in a study cubicle at a time. In order to get to Sebastian, he had to get past Mrs. Alberts. Blaine's nerves began to settle when he saw a box on her desk. If it was what he thought it was, the timing was impeccable.
"Mrs. Alberts."
"Mr. Anderson. Have you completed your finals?"
"Yes, Ma'am. I just finished presenting the Warblers' National Plan to Head Master Montgomery, which he approved. It was considered my last final. All I have left is Nationals and my final checkout with my advisor next week. Thank you for asking." Maybe she didn't hate him as much as he though.
"I was asking because I was wondering whether it is the fact your finals were complete or because of the sudden influx of money you are apparently responsible for that you felt it was acceptable not to be in proper uniform when coming to the library."
Shit! "Oh…uh…neither. I was on my way to physical therapy but I need to speak to Sebastian. He wants me to look over his graduation speech."
"Mr. Smythe is currently in a study cubical."
"I know but…" Blaine didn't finish his sentence when he felt someone grab his arm.
"Excuse us, Mrs. Alberts" Beat said, pulling Blaine away from the counter. "I need to speak to Blaine on an urgent matter."
"Of course, Mr. Dalton. It will give Mr. Anderson time to change into his uniform."
Blaine was probably stronger than Beat but his best Dalton friend was substantially bigger and evidently extremely determined to talk. However, there was one thing Blaine couldn't let pass. "How did she know your last name was Dalton?" he whispered. "I thought none of the staff except the Head Master and admissions knew that."
"She's Mrs. Alberts…duh."
Once they were out of the library, Beat dragged him to a semi-private alcove. Blaine knew from his expression this was important but so was what he had been trying to accomplish. "Ok, whatever this is tell me or I'm going back to the library to give my boyfriend a blowjob."
"B, it's…wait, what did you just say? Never mind, I don't want to know." He really, really didn't. "Mom's been trying to get a hold of you."
"I know. I saw the text but I was…preoccupied. Plus, we agreed to no shop-talk until after graduation. I figured if it was that important she could tell me when she sees me in a couple of days."
"Call her."
Everything about those two words sent a chill to Blaine's core. "No, you tell me."
"Bud…"
Beat had slipped with the name he called Blaine when they were hiding that were still in contact after Slushie-gate. Now Blaine knew this was so much worse than he thought. "Drum…tell me."
"Alright but not here." They walked in silence to the Music Department where Beat had Blaine check out a recording room and then made sure all the equipment was turned off. A lot of yelling was about to happen and it was best to do it in a soundproof room. "You know how Andrea Bocelli was supposed to release his all Italian version of The Italian Song today?"
"They changed the title to Perfect…but what do you mean by was supposed to release?"
"And how in a month they were going to release the English/Italian hybrid with you and him?"
"You didn't answer my question."
"Someone at the label's International Division released the wrong version. Mom got a call right after it happened at Midnight LA time but it was too late. She and her team have been on the phone since then but the song is everywhere in Europe." Beat tried to smile as all the color drained from Blaine's face and he fell back into a chair. "Good news is you'll probably be #1 in 12 different countries by the end of the week."
Blaine was numb. After all the work he had done to make sure he maintained his amateur status so he could compete with the Warblers at Nationals. "I need to call my uncle. Get some sort of injunction out there before the Show Choir people find out about this…"
"They know. You've been banned from competing at Nationals and…"
Blaine sprung out of the chair and headed for the door. "Oh my god…Sam!"
"No, Sam's fine. He didn't sing on the track. He only played guitar. What I was going to say was you can't compete AND the Warblers are prohibited from using anything you had a hand in developing."
"I developed everything" Blaine groaned as he sunk back into the chair. "It was my Senior Project. Yes, we all chose the songs but I did the arrangements. The whole routine is gone. Does Jackie know why this is happening? Choirs hire professionals all the time to arrange their National routines."
"Mom thought that as well but doesn't have an in with the Show Choir people. She called Mr. Barnes at Julliard and he said while he is respected in the community she needed someone they were afraid of so he had her call…"
"Carmen Tibideaux"
"Yeah" Before he could go further, Beat's phone began to ping. "You need to turn your phone on and contact Brody then get your ass to the Head Master's office after you give Sebastian a heads-up."
"I can't" Blaine said seeing the time as he turned on his phone.
"I thought you were done hiding shit from him after the plea deal debacle."
"It's not that. He's in Mayfield's final which is scheduled for three hours then he has an appointment with Doc right after that. His mom isn't doing great and he really needs to go talk about it."
"Ok, why don't you call Dr. Shepard and tell him what's going on. Then, knowing what an ass Mayfield is about phones, send Seb both a voice mail and a text telling him to contact you before he does anything else. I'll contact all Warblers who aren't in classes or taking tests right now and develop a plan for keeping this on the down low as long as possible."
"Sounds like a plan, and Bud…you can't tell Mike. I know we just talked about me not telling my boyfriend but your boyfriend and Tana and Noah and Mercy and even Quinn, Rachel and Finn need to stay out of this. It could get nasty and things could get said. Innocent people could get hurt."
Beat grabbed his best friend and looked him in the eyes. "We all vowed we would never do that to her no matter what. None of it was Brittany's fault."
30 minutes earlier in the library
Sebastian gathered his papers and put them in his bag. He couldn't help but wonder what happened to Blaine after he had been so insistent about his getting a study cubical and meeting him there. When he got into the main room, he saw the problem…Mrs. Alberts. She may have loved him but boy, did she not like Blaine.
Something was off with her though and as he got closer, he smiled. "When Blaine's Great Aunt Gloria couldn't make his concert we went to visit her and Blaine saw the lamp."
"His Great Aunt Gloria? As in Gloria Vanderbilt." She handed him the card that had come with the 90 year-old, one of four ever made, Tiffany lamp.

"Yes, Ma'am. She laughed when Blaine told her the story and insisted on donating her's to Dalton. If you look at the marking, this lamp is #1 while the one Blaine broke was #4."
"Why didn't Mr. Anderson say anything while he was here?"
That was surprising. "He was here?"
"He was asking to see you when Mr. D…Beat came and said they needed to speak. He also wasn't wearing his uniform so I sent him away." She felt a little bit bad about that now…a very, small, little bit bad. "He did say you wanted him to take a look at your Valedictorian speech for you."
"I did but I have to hand it in this morning and have Mr. Mayfield's final beginning in 15 minutes."
"Why don't you give it me? I have a meeting with Head Master Montgomery in an hour and would be honored to read what you have written."
Sebastian didn't hesitate. Mrs. Alberts was the staff member he trusted most. She was the only one who stood up for him to the previous Head Master. "Thank you" he said while handing her the folder "And anything you want to correct, please do."
"I'm sure it's brilliant. Now, get a move on. Mr. Mayfield will lock you out if you are tardy. And remember to shut down your phone. I swear that man can hear a phone vibrating from a mile away."
Note:
In Chapter 54 A Good Old Fashioned A** Whippin' everyone signed confidentiality agreements with a $50,000 penalty before being told Brody's true identity. Both Al/Robert and Xavier knew the agreements were legally questionable since no one present was represented by their own lawyer. However, all were given the option to leave prior.
