Years ago at Snow White's Castle, a car was pulling up as Queen Snow White and a seven-year-old Apple waited outside. When the car stopped before them a Dwarf got out and walked to the back of the car.

"We're here, Miss. Queen," said the Dwarf as he opened the door to allow a seven-year-old Raven Queen out.

"Thank you," said Raven as she nervously stepped out of the car.

"Raven, it's a pleasure to meet you, and I hope you're not too nervous," said Queen Snow White as she walked down to meet the young witch while the Dwarf got her luggage out of the trunk.

"I'm just a little nervous, mam," said Raven who couldn't bring herself to look at Queen Snow White.

"Hey, do you like to read?" asked Apple as she noticed a book in the witch's hands.

"I do," said Raven, her grip tightening on the book slightly.

"Then let's go to the library, there are a lot of books to read there," said Apple as she grabbed hold of Raven's hand and pulled her along, surprising the witch.

"Oh boy," said Queen Snow White as she watched them run off with a smile on her face. A while later, Raven and Apple were in the library reading.

"Thanks for showing me the place, I've never even heard of some of these books," said Raven as she smiled.

"No problem," said Apple as her face went slightly red at the thought of how cute her smile was.

"Hey, what are you doing?" asked Apple as she noticed Raven writing something down in a notebook.

"I write down any spells I think are interesting or that I could make my own when I discover them and there was one in this book," said Raven as she pointed to the book she had been reading.

"You make your own spells?" asked an excited Apple.

"I do," said Raven who grew nervous again.

"Can I see one?" asked Apple.

"There's one that you may like, but we'll have to wait until night, as it needs to be dark for it," said Raven.

"Alright," said Apple before going back to her book.
