A few days later, Apple was at Poppy's hair salon with Briar in the waiting area as the place was packed.

"I'm glad that you agreed to come with me to get our hair done," said Briar as she put the magazine she had been reading down.

"It's tough to get you away from Raven to spend time with just you," said Briar.

"Sorry about that," said Apple with a remorseful expression.

"It's alright, so, what do you have planned for your hair today?" asked Briar.

"Remember when we thought you were going to have that heart attack at eight?" asked Apple with a slight chuckle.

"How could I forget?" asked Briar while thinking back.

"Apple calls me over to play but couldn't even come down to greet me?" asked an eight-year-old Briar as she walked with a servant to Apple's room.

"My apologies, Miss. Beauty, she is in the middle of something with Raven," said the Dwarf.

"Of course she is, she's always spending time with Raven," said Briar with an eye roll.

"Miss. Apple, Miss. Beauty is here to see you," said the Dwarf once they had reached a door.

"Promise you won't scream," said Raven as she opened the door.

"Why would I scream?" asked Briar as she walked into the room. She then noticed Apple.

"What the hex did you do?" asked a stunned Briar as she looked at Apple who had a bright red streak in her blond hair that framed her face.

"I just added a little color to my hair, does it look back?" asked Apple with a nervous smile. Briar just stood there staring with her mouth hung open.

"I think she's having a heart attack," said Raven with a worried expression.

"It's just a hair dye spell, Raven can reverse it," said a panicked Apple. Briar was then pulled back to the present by hearing her name being called by Poppy.

"So, you're going to surprise Raven by getting your hair dyed for real?" asked Briar.

"That's the plan, what about you, how are you going to surprise Faybelle?" asked Apple.

"I have an idea," said Briar with a grin.
