It was the night of Apple's tenth birthday and she and Raven were in her room.
"So, what surprise do you have that you couldn't give me in front of the others?" asked Apple as she sat on her bed.
"It's actually something I have to tell you," said Raven.
"You're not moving away, are you?!" asked a terrified Apple as she jumped to her feet.
"No, that's not it, but your mom might kick me out if she finds out," said Raven with a nervous expression.
"I'd never let that happen, Raven," said Apple as she grabbed hold of Raven's hands.
"I like you, Apple," said Raven.
"I like you too, you silly," said Apple with a bright smile.
"No, I mean that I like you as more than just a friend," said Raven as she went bright red while avoiding looking at the blond.
"I know that we're both girls so it's not right, but I…," said Raven before Apple stopped her by kissing the witch. However, they both were surprised by a blinding light that came from their kiss, causing them to trip over onto Apple's bed, breaking them apart.
"I've always liked you, Raven, and I'll fight anyone that tries to break us apart," said Apple while holding her left hand to Raven's right cheek.
"Apple," said Queen Snow White as she knocked on the door.
"Who's in there with you?" asked Queen Snow White.
"Guess we have to tell her," said Raven as they sat up. She then used her magic to open the door.
"I saw that… light," said Queen Snow White as she entered and found Raven to be the only other person with her daughter.
"Wait, Apple, did you and Raven kiss?" asked Queen Snow White.
"We did, and if you're mad then be mad at me since I'm the one who kissed her," said Apple as she stood in front of Raven.
"Why would I be mad?" asked Queen Snow White with a shocked expression.
"You're not supposed to love a person the same gender as you, so we thought you would be mad," said Raven.
"I would never be mad because you two love someone, especially each other," said Queen Snow White.
"Plus, anyone who says that you can't like someone the same gender as you is the one who is wrong," said Queen Snow White as she gave them a kind smile.
"So, you won't throw me out?" asked Raven as she started to cry.
"Of course not, sweetheart, I could never think of someone better for my daughter than you," said Queen Snow White as she hugged Raven.
"Now then, how about you dry those tears and the three of us get some ice cream?" asked Queen Snow White.
"Alright, mom," said Raven as she wiped the tears away. Her face then went bright red after realizing what she had said.
"I love the sound of that from you," said Queen Snow White before taking hold of Apple and Raven's hands and leaving the room.
