So, there is a random OC in this story and that's because I'm writing a fic with her in it (I am for some reason obsessed with making OC's; it's kind of a problem but I fully embrace it). This fic though was stuck in my mind and I had to write it. I enjoy it, my best friend enjoyed it, and now I hope you enjoy it!
Song lyrics
6th Year Goblet of Fire
Aurora walked in the Great Hall and immediately spotted her boyfriend, shoulders slumped slightly and chin propped up on his hand. He seemed to be staring at something forlornly, but she couldn't see what. Frowning slightly, she made her way over and sat down beside him.
"Hey George! What's goin-"
"I can see what's happening," Aurora froze. Did he just sing that?
"Umm—what?"
"And they don't have a clue!" Aurora looked over his shoulder and finally saw what he was looking at.
"Fred and Angelina?"
"They'll fall in love and here's the bottom line: our trio's down to two."
"Was Fred like this when we started dating?"
"The sweet caress of twilight!"
"….it's the middle of the afternoon."
"There's magic everywhere,"
"It is a magic school."
"And with all this romantic atmosphere," Aurora looked over his shoulder again and made a disgusted face.
"Romantic is quite a stretch. What with Fred deciding to see how many rolls he can fit in his mouth."
"DISASTER'S IN THE AIR!" Aurora rolled her eyes.
"When did you even come up with this song?" George sighed, his eyes still on his brother.
"Dad took us to a muggle cinema when we were kids." He told her. "Watched this movie about a lion who becomes king." Aurora just shook her head.
"Well at least it's over."
"It's not over," he said. "There's a long bit in the middle that I can't remember so I'm doing a dramatic pause." Aurora nearly groaned.
"Oh Merlin." George cleared his throat and started to sing again.
"And if he falls in love tonight,"
"Again, it's the middle of the afternoon."
"It can be assumed."
"You're so dramatic."
"His carefree days with us are history."
"I doubt that."
"In short, our pal is doooooooooomed!" Aurora jumped as George burst into tears and buried his face in her chest, his arms going around her waist. Smiling awkwardly at people, she just carded her fingers through his hair. After a couple a minutes though, she finally got annoyed with his over dramatic, fake crying and swatted the back of his head. He immediately sat up, rubbing the stinging spot with his hand.
"You do know Fred and Angelina are just friends, right?" She asked, turning to her food. She had barely eaten anything yet. "Her and Lee have been going out for about two months now." She could sense George's shocked gaze as she practically dove into her soup.
"Angelina and Lee?!" He asked. He looked back down the table, noticing how close the two seemed to be sitting. "Why didn't I know about this?"
"Well, it's either because you don't listen, or don't pay attention," she told. "Knowing you though, it's most likely both." George pressed a hand to his chest, feigning shock.
"Excuse me?!" He said. "I'll have you know I can do both of those things!" Aurora raised an eyebrow at him.
"Oh really?" She asked. "Both of what things, George?" George opened his mouth to answer but paused. His brows furrowed in deep concentration, but his mind came up with nothing. Aurora just laughed and patted his cheek.
"My point exactly, love." She told him. George pouted slightly.
"But Fred and Angelina went to the Yule Ball together," he told her. "Why would she go with him if she's dating Lee?" Aurora sighed, shaking her head.
"You really need to start paying attention to things around you." She told him. "Lee was sick that night and Angelina didn't want to go by herself when all her friends had dates." To busy eating her lunch, she didn't notice when George smirked teasingly.
"Lee was sick?" He asked, purposefully being confused. Aurora paused midway of spooning some soup into her mouth and glared at George.
"Now you're just trying to be funny." She frowned but the corners of her mouth were twitching upwards. "Oh, here comes Freddie." Fred stopped in front of them with bread crumbs clinging to his face and robe.
"George! There you are!" Fred said with a wide smile. "We need to test out some of our products and I heard Filch is nearby." Aurora laughed softly as George's face lit up and his worries from before seemed to vanish.
"Well, what are we waiting for, brother dear?" George said. "A good ol' fashioned dungbomb should do the trick." Aurora could see the mischievous twinkle light their eyes and almost felt sorry for old caretaker. Sighing, she went back to her soup.
"Try not to get detention before the next task." She told them. "Harry's going to need all the support he can get."
"Wouldn't miss it for the world!" Fred said. "We'll see you later, Roro!" Aurora waved goodbye as Fred ran out of the Great Hall, George not far behind after giving her a quick kiss to the cheek.
"See you later!" She called after them. "And no more singing, George!"
I really hope you liked it and maybe had a good laugh. Like I said in the beginning, I will be writing a fic with Aurora, if you're interested.
