Chapter 4
Pain and headache are what Jaune feeling right now with the sound of burning around him.
"U-uh..uh..." Jaune's eyes struggled to open as he just wants to rest. Whatever he is laying on, it's like a pile of rubbish. His mask is still on his face which he doesn't know how but he definitely happy the mask still on there.
Jaune uses his right hand to reach toward his face and took off the mask.
Jaune managed to open both of his eyes to see the skies are full of grey clouds and black smoke from the ground with The light of the Sun managed to pierce through the cloud a little.
Sitting up, Jaune still very sleepy? exhausted, tired. Looking left and right, He can see tons of piles of grey and black building rubbish with burning fire on them.
He is back on the surface city of mountain Glenn except for there a crater in the middle of the city. While he can't see how deep it is, he can guess
"What happened?" Jaune asked himself as he struggled standing up and walked toward the crater without realizing his sword and his backpack is missing.
Getting to see the crater, while is it not wide, it's deep. Jaune can also see metals and concrete of Merlot lab once clean and organized now become piles of rubbish.
Jaune has many questions but one thing for sure.
Merlot's lab has been completely destroyed by his power.
"My stuff..." Jaune's eyes widened as he seeing he still have his gauntlet but his sword and his pack back is missing.
His hand reached to his pocket and thankfully, his scroll was undamaged. he has 2 scrolls, the other one in his backpack, perhaps he could try to find that scroll in his backpack somehow.
How long was I been here?.
Jaune checked his scroll, he been out for like 12 hours so it should be morning.
So I been here for like what? near 24 hours, Jaune started to check on other apps.
"Come on Bluetooth, papa needs his stuff back," Jaune said as his scroll on his hand connects to the other scroll in his backpack that God knows where "Ha! find my scroll app."
Somewhere on all these broken piles of concrete, Jaune started to hear the sound of his other scroll ringing.
Looking around one last time to check for his sword, Jaune started to walk away from the crater starting to think.
Who was he?, Jaune got no idea who that man is but he makes him angry. He can't even remember that fight.
Following the sound of his scroll, something catch Jaune eyes.
There was a little white and brown fabric near his sword as Jaune walked toward it.
"G-God," Jaune coughed as he picked up the sword that has a little purple liquid on it "I don't know what I would do without you" He put the sword behind his back.
Looking down to the ground where his sword was, there was a tail? with purple liquid coming out of it.
The hell? Jaune knee down ignoring the sound of his other scroll ringing, Jaune.
"It a scorpion tail..." Jaune whispered to himself. The tail is not entirely black, more like really dark red.
Besides the tail is a book? picking up the book is not that hard and is it quite lightweight even if he exhausted with aura and strength.
Jaune realized it another Journal, is it from Merlot? He then opened it to see the name Tyrian.
Tyrian? If Jaune has to guess, it the man that asked him who he is before he activates his semblance. Jaune opened to read the Journal.
"Yes! Yes! today is a wonderful day, the be-" Jaune stopped reading and closed the journal, there no way I'm reading these after waking up and this guy handwriting is so ugly
Shaking his head, Jaune when back to following the sound of his other scroll with his sword behind his back and the Journal in his left hand.
He wanted to get out of here as fast as possible, broken concrete is everywhere with black smoke covering all the city with fires burning on those piles feels like he in a nightmare.
Now come to think of it, wouldn't there be bullhead somewhere near hear lab that allows Merlot to travel?
Jaune hoped he didn't destroy any, perhaps he can try to fly to Mistral with one instead of walking there.
With the ringing sound louder than ever, Jaune started to dig around trying to find his backpack.
Moving out some rock to see his backpack still close and look undamaged, Jaune let out a relieved sigh.
Checking his equipment inside to see they are still in good form, not much damage. Putting the other Journal into his backpack, Jaune pulled out Merlot's Journal.
Maybe there some vehicle around here to allow him to get to Mistral faster...if he knows how to drive or pilot it but Merlot's journal would be the only place to have an answer.
After a few pages, Jaune learned there actually a bullhead just a little bit outside the ruined of Moutain Glenn as Merlot getaway vehicle.
"Should be easy enough to learn how to fly a bullhead" Jaune said to himself before putting Merlot Jornaul in his backpack and starting to head toward the Bullhead outside the city.
Ironwood was not a fool, Ozpin knows this, and others in his inner circle know this but even with the strongest army in the world, Salem can always find a way to counter his army somehow.
He not even surprised by what Qrow report. Of course, the Queen has Pawns... she always has Pawns but so does He, the question is who is it.
Learning that Merlot is alive from Jaune's report doesn't shock him, Merlot was never a fighter back in the day so Ozpin does believe Jaune can take him on. But what scared him more that is Salem could find out about Merlot and make him become one of her pawns.
He will let Jaune take care of Merlot who should be in the sea between Sanus and Anima trying to capture a Giant Grimm.
There 3 labs out there, one in Mountain Glenn which he shall send Team RWBY when the times come, sending an Army far away from Vale will just gain Salem's attention. And the lab in the Forever fall and island, He will ask Ironwood to handle it...quietly. But now, all he can do is to fight against Salem to prevent her from making humanity suffer by training the best hustman and huntresses he can with the help of others.
"Which is why we will continue to train the best Huntsmen and Huntresses we can," Ozpin said as Ironwood turns and walks away. He stops near the door and looks back at Ozpin.
"Believe me, I am. But ask yourself this, Do you honestly believe your children can win a war?" Ironwood asked as he continues on his way to the exit.
"I hope they never have to." Ozpin sighed "But they will anyway." He whispered the last part.
"AH before I forgot, you said there a chance where doctor Merlot is alive and his lab is in Sanus this morning, how can I help?" Ironwood knows Doctor Merlot is a monster and Ozpin wouldn't just tell him there a chance of Merlot being alive without needing his help.
"Yes, My intel told me that there 3 lab from Merlot is out there, the nearest one is in the Forever fall and an unnamed island nearby," Ozpin said "I have the coordinate so it should be simple to locate."
"Who gave you this intel," Ironwood asked.
Really? not where or why haven't you told me the third lab or how do you want me to handle this? why you have to always ask the complicated question, James?
"A friend of mine," Ozpin replied "Anyhow, I want to do this quietly so Salem won't know why are we going to Forever Fall with an army. Send the best stealth team to investigate these labs then make it our so we can use it."
"And the third lab?" James asked.
"I will send a Team in Beacon to investigate," Ozpin explained.
"Send me your on everything you have to my scroll," James said.
At least James didn't question why he sending a Team of Beacon instead of a full group of Trained Huntsmen. "Of course James."
"And doctor Merlot?" James asked.
"I got someone to handle that," Ozpin said.
"I hope you know what you doing Oz," Ironwood said as he turns his face toward the elevator.
"As am I, have a good day James," Ozpin said.
"You too, Oz" Ironwood walked into the elevator as it closed.
"Hi, I'm Mercury, It's a pleasure to meet you, Ozpin told me that I now become the leader of Team MPRN...so there that."
Mercury is a good looking guy, he even kinda like a dork but there something about him Ruby can't seem to shake it off, he acts like a dork and nice guy but he doesn't look like a dork, more only time can tell but Ruby definitely doesn't trust him.
And now they are in the library greeting their new friend.
I wondered what Jaune doing now. Ruby thought.
"Press L2 to life off, R2 to move forward, and move the steering wheel down to move its direction..." Jaune is reading from the book 'Learning how to flight for Dummy' that already on the ship.
Learning how to fight is easier than walking 2 miles to the Bullhead. When he got here, seeing a ship making him so happy, what even better is that piloting a ship is like playing a video game.
The key is already nearby that he took it and startup the bullhead, Now he is in the passenger-cargo almost done reading the book that will guide him on how to fly this ship.
"Press F or Square button to jump out of the ship." Jaune smiled "Finally I'm done!"
With all that done, Jaune stands up, closing the Bullhead's entrance. Making sure he got everything, Jaune look to check.

Letting out a relief sighed that he can finally get the hell out of this place, Jaune moved to the pilot sit.
"Put the key in," Jaune said as he does, putting the key starting up the bullhead engine and pressing the start button.
"And liftoff we go!" Jaune yelled in the cockpit as the ship lift off the ground.
Nex destination, somewhere between Sanus and Anima where Merlot boat should be.

I'm really lazy and don't want to write Mercury meeting team RWBY and NPR so I'm leaving it like that, and from now on, I should be focusing on Jaune and Jaune only and no more beacon...anyway
