Our starts with a simple worker, netting some fish out in the water on a boat. Our character is Adrian Lyn, he has been a fisherman for months, saving as much money as he could so he could leave his town and move to the big city.

"Well, by our stock of fish this month, I think our pay might be lowered," a person said, "what, are you kidding me?" said Adrian. "I'm serious man, it seems like more fish is being lost, there should have been more than last month or at least the same, but look at these little guppies," he said holding up a little fish. "yeah, it's a little weird, but we do whatever we can to earn some money," said Adrian, "yeah, I guess you are right, money is money, right?".

After the catch, the boat started going back to land, until they felt a rumble that made the boat jump. "What the heck was that?" a fisherman said, until Adrian saw out in the distance, a giant green mushroom cloud. The waters were becoming rougher as the workers soon noticed the fish rolling off the side. "Get to the nets," a fisherman said as they grabbed the nets, stopping the fish from escaping.

Though with the rough waters shaking the boat, it causes the net and some of the fishermen to fall into the ocean. The fishermen tried to hold on as waves of seawater rushed onto the deck. One final bump caused Adrian to fall off the boat into the ocean. Adrian saw glimpses of green lightning, fading in and out to witness his drowning. Everything went dark as something wrapped around his body.

Adrian soon landed on shore, but it was not the same place he once knew. For some odd reason, he noticed the land being more environmental than city like with spikes out of the ground. "What? Where am I?" Adrian said as walked up the coast, past the stalagmites towards a city.

Adrian went into the city, finding it abandoned, no one around, not even a sound could be heard. It was until Adrian heard a siren, then some screaming. Adrian ran off to it, going down an alleyway, he saw a woman rundown with a little girl in her hands, but he then saw groups of humanoid creatures chase them.

Adrian started breathing heavily by the sight of them, being something of true terror. Soon, one of them stopped looking back at Adrian who was peeking out. In that moment, Adrian ran away as the creature chased him. He tried to get away from it in anyway, but the creature was on him like a bloodhound chasing a prisoner.

Adrian soon ran into a building, running down a hall, until the floor broke below him, falling into a basement. The creature tried sniffing him out, but got nothing, it left as Adrian laid in the hole. He picked himself up from a mound of coal as he locked around the place. "Huh? I must be in a furnace room, good to know some places are safe around here".

Adrian dusted the coal dust off him as he tried getting a fire started in the old furnace. "Okay, it doesn't look to hard to understand," Adrian saw in the corner that someone gathered firewood and some matches, like they prepared for this place to be a shelter. Adrian placed in some wood as he lit it up, the room soon lit up as Adrian looked around.

Adrian found some food, a bag of supplies, and a journal. He opened it, finding some interesting facts about where he was, but they were incomplete. He then found some dates, left by the owner. It talked about his survival, research on these creatures, and a lot of talk about no hope. It was until his last entry, "I was able to get the answers I wanted, but I don't have time, these creatures, they've found my place, I only have time to say this, I know someone will find this journal, a human, I'd like you to keep track of the research, I believe there is something evil that controls this place. -Jackson Rider, 48". Adrian sat down in a chair when he felt something under the table.

Adrian found a sword under it as he soon heard noises with the flames going out. Adrian took the sword as he held it out in all direction. Everything went quiet, when the creature jumped him, though Adrian was able to hold it back. He soon threw it off, pointing the sword at it, "s-stay away, stay back," suddenly, he felt something weird in his mind. A memory that was not his own, of wielding a sword.

Adrian soon regained himself as he dodged the creature. With swift movements, he seemed to know how to fight without even thinking it. He killed the creature as it turned to dust. "Okay, I don't know what happened, but… it helped I guess," Adrian soon heard more sounds in the distant, Adrian grabbed the bag and the journal, and left the hideout.
