PROLOUGE

"Where am I?" A strange voice echoed. The man who made this sound, was none other than the devil himself, Herobrine. Herobrine had just awoken, and found himself in total blackness. He had desperately searched around, until suddenly, he stopped. He grasped his head, where what looked broken horns rested on his head. "Notch…i'm coming for you" Was the last thing he said, before a massive explosion shook the earth.

CHAPTER ONE

THREE WEEKS LATER.

Daniel McGarden awoke to the sound of chirping birds. He slowly opened his eyes and realized "It' Saturday!" He screamed, jumping out of bed. He surveyed his room. It was a 6x6x6 cube made of oak wood. Directly to his right, his double chest sat awaiting. He had a 4x4 bookshelf pushed against the wall. It held everything from Legends and Lore of Xenothan to DIARY OF A 8-BIT WARRIOR. He walked over too the entrance of his room and stepped out. As he walked down the stairs, he smelled chocolatey deliciousness. "Waffles!" He screamed sprinting down the stairs. Somehow, he tripped over the last step and fell face first into the kitchen. He groggily stood up and looked around. The 9x9x9 cube was made of the of oak wood, but it was different in many ways. There were kitchen supplies and batter everywhere, creating an excessively big mess. He walked over to an oak table and sat down. "Hey there son," his dad, Tom McGarden said his blue eyes twinkling. His father was a very fit man, with a scruffy beard and immeasurable kindness. "Hey dad, are you making waffles?" Daniel replied. "Yes, I am," his dad replied. "Do you want some?" His dad asked. "Yes!" Daniel replied. "Well too bad, they're mine." His dad said. "Whaaaatt?" Daniel moped. "Just kidding," his dad said. He then walked over too Daniel and placed a tower of steaming hot waffles in front of him. Daniel started tearing into the waffles with a vengeance. His dad, trying too to avoid flying bits of waffle said "Daniel, we need to talk," Daniel, looking up at his father noticed he was wearing his enchanted ultmanium armor. It was a hundred times stronger than diamond but was enchanted with Thorns X for offense. "Sure dad, what's up?" Daniel replied cautiously. "We're going to Kenzack." His dad said gravely. "Dad we have to go through The Endless Woods! Have you lost your mind!" Daniel screamed, completely forgetting his waffles. "There has been a suspicion that one of the Six Creatures of Undeath lives there!" Daniel continued. "It's the only way to keep everybody Safe!" His dad screamed. "Do you think I want to go there!" His dad said. "But dad- "Daniel started to say. "No, you're going whether you like it or not," His dad said. "Arrrrrgggghhh!" Daniel screamed, running up the stairs and replacing the entrance to his room with wood blocks. Daniel muttered to himself in his room. "Dad, going through the freaking Endless Woods is a death wish, have you lost your mind!" He continued muttering like that for another hour when he heard a knock at the front door. "I'll get it!" Daniel screamed, mining the wood blocks, and racing through the house. When he arrived at the front door, his dad was nowhere to be seen. He opened the door anyway. It was Nigel. He had been Daniel's best friend since they learned how to talk. "Here Daniel, for the trip," Nigel said handing him something wrapped in a blanket. Daniel wondered how Nigel knew about the trip but dismissed the thought as soon as it came to his mind. He opened the blanket and found an Enchanted Diamond Sword. "Oh Nigel, you didn't have to get me this," Daniel said. "Yes, I did, you could get killed at any time. But this could save your life." "Gee, thanks for the vote of confidence, you could get killed at any time." Daniel replied snarkily. "Seriously, 95 deaths have occurred in The Endless Woods." Nigel replied in a huff. "What enchantments are on this sword?" Daniel asked. "Sharpness V and Fire Aspect II." Nigel said. "Wow," Daniel said. "Want to walk around?" Daniel asked. "Sure," Nigel said. Daniel and Nigel walked over to Tattoo's and Who's . The tattoo parlor just down the street. When they entered, the accustomed bell ringing, they surveyed the area. It was an 8x8x8 cube made of brick. To there right, designs covered the entire wall. At the back, there was a chair. To there left, the was a marble counter from which a young man stepped from. "My name is Connor, are you here for a tattoo?" Connor had yellow eyes like a cat, a little bit of stubble on his chin, and a very tan body. "Are you a cat demi-human?" Daniel asked. "Yes I am," Connor replied. "Okay," Daniel said while looking at the designs. He eventually picked a firey skull on his arm, and a black and purple dragon on his back. "Please sit in the chair and I will give you the rules." Connor said motioning with his arm to the chair in the back of the shop. Daniel obliged. "One, the tattoos can be dispelled at any time." Connor said. "Okay" Daniel said. Daniel felt tingling on his arm and back. "Please look in the mirror." Connor said. Daniel did as instruct and sure enough, there was a dragon curling from his side to his neck and a skull on his arm. "Thank you," Daniel said. "My pleasure, that'll be five gold coins." Connor said. Daniel dug around in his pocket and found seven gold coins and handed them to the man. "Keep the change." Daniel said as they exited the parlor. "Where do you want to go next?" Daniel asked Nigel. "The bookstore!" Nigel declared dragging Daniel behind him. When they found Lex Libris, the bookstore. When they entered the 25x25x25 wood square, they were faced by rows and rows of bookshelves. Nigel immediately ran into the shelves leaving Daniel alone. He also ventured into the bookshelves. He found the latest diary of an 8-bit warrior book called: bound by blood. He started reading it. It was interesting, and he soon became lost in the book. Just as he finished reading it, a loud explosion shook the building, knocking Daniel off his feet. As he sat up, his ears ringing, he saw a man in a black cloak step through the gaping hole in the bookstore wall. Ten other men stepped through after him. He saw the owner run up to the man in the cloak. The owner was stabbed through the gut, and poofed. Suddenly, rough hands grabbed him and pulled him up. It was his dad. "We have to go!" His dad's gruff voice sounded in is ear. "But Nigel," Daniel said. "He's dead, come on let's go!" His dad said. "He can't be dead," Daniel said his eyes brimming with tears. "He's not dead I don't believe you!" Daniel screamed, tears streaking his face. "Daniel, we have to go!" His dad's urgent voice sounded in his ear. "No, I'm not going anywhere with you!" Daniel screamed, breaking free of his dad's grip, and punching him in the face. Suddenly, before the fight could escalate, something hit Daniel in the back of the head, knocking him out. When Daniel awoke with a throbbing pain in the back of the head, he realized he was tied up in a 9x9x9 carriage made of wool. Surprisingly, his dad was tied up with him and was still asleep. He heard a voice behind him "Aah, so you're awake now." The figure strolled around him and got right in is face. "My name's Jack, and you're going to obey me." Jack was dressed in diamond plate armor with an aether-stone broadsword slung across his back. "No chance," Daniel replied. "What did you say?" Jack said. "I ought to- "Jack started. "I'll take it from here Jack." An unknown voice said from the shadows. Jack scrambled away from the voice and ran out the door that Daniel had not noticed. Then the figure stepped out of the shadows. It was Herobrine. "Well hello Daniel," Herobrine said. Just as he was about to ask Herobrine how he knew his name, his dad chose that exact moment to wake up. "Son I just want- "His dad started to say but stopped when he saw Herobrine. "Well well well, what do we have here?" Herobrine said. "I see food," Herobrine said and stabbed his dad through the gut with a black and white scythe. "Dad!" Daniel screamed as his dad hit the ground and poofed. Herobrine looked over to Daniel. "I guess I could eat you to," Herobrine said. He brought his scythe down but Daniel moved in such a way that the scythe cur his bonds. He then leaped up, diamond sword in hand. "It's over Herobrine!" Daniel screamed. "Oh? The rat has a weapon," Herobrine said. Daniel wasted no time and charged him, swinging his sword. Herobrine easily blocked his swing and slammed Daniel in the chest withhis fist. Daniel flew backward and landed in a heap. He shakily got up and ran towards Herobrine. He dodged underneath Herobrine's swing and stabbed him in the chest. "You really think you could kill me?" Herobrine said, totally unfazed that there was a sword embedded in his gut. Daniel frantically pulled the sword out of Herobrine's gut and edged backward. Herobrine , seeing the advantage, ran forward swinging his scythe. Daniel frantically ran backward, before he tripped over his own feet and landed on the grass. In a moment, Herobrine had pinned Daniel on the ground. "Just give up now, and you will get a quick painless death," Herobrine said. "I'll… never… give up!" Daniel said and, his arms started moving in a glowing pattern without his control. Herobrine looked schocked. It eventually formed a massive glowing cannon that blasted Herobrine up into the sky, "How did you learn thaaattttt!" Herobrine screamed as he flew head over heels away from Daniel. Daniel suddenly felt woozy, and the last thing he saw was a person emerging from the underbrush.
