Then Paw Patrol breaks up, Mayor Goodway is murdered, Adventure Bay is in turmoil. As the pups go their separate ways they are thrown into a complex mystery, where their enemies are their own friends.

Chapter 4

Chase

Rain.

The weather agrees this is a sad day.

Chase walked down the empty street. He listened to the sound of the rain hitting the roof and the road.

Mixed feelings, Chase thought. That's what I am feeling.

Everest had come over to play a game of fetch. And while Ryder went to get some treats Marshall said something that Chase thought was suppose to be a joke. But Everest seemed deeply hurt by what Marshall had said.

Rubble came in Marshall's defence saying that it was just a joke.

Sky said it was a little offensive.

Then all the pups got into an argument, and all of the pups started saying extremely personal things about each other.

Chase even said something very personal about Zuma, then Ryder came and they all quit the Paw Patrol.

Chase felt responsible. I should have put a stop to the argument, he thought.

He then noticed some small barely legible letters on a manhole cover

Safe House

What could that mean, he thought.

He pushed open the cover and descended down into darkness. He saw a light and heard voices and walked deeper into the tunnel. Then a mask and gag was put over him. And the world was even more dark than before.

In life you will make friends and you will lose them.
