PERCY'S POV

It had almost been a week since the weird incidence with Annabeth, but still he wasn't able to remove that scene from his memories. He had not seen Annabeth at school or anywhere since. Those tears trickling down her eyes, her painful voice, her expressions full of anger and sorrow, her expressions of hatred, every minute detail about her made their way by piercing through Percy's heart whenever he saw himself in the mirror.

It was evening time and he was sitting with Rhea by the poolside in the city's pool complex. He loved it near the water. He was thinking about sharing with Rhea hid feelings but she was always in such a great mood that he didn't want to spoil it. But at the same time, he felt as if he was cheating Rhea. He sometimes had this feeling that he didn't really love Rhea, it was like he was meant for someone else. Someone whom he knew really well but was unaware about.

Finally, unable to keep his feelings to himself, he spoke, "Um ur Rhea"

"Yeah?" she replied

"I wanna talk to you about something really important"

"What is it?" she asked, sounding alarmed

"It's about Annabeth" he saw her expressions and they suddenly turned to surprise, sorrow and amazement.

"Oh no! Percy, how long has it been since the incidence with Annabeth" she inquired, her face full of worry and tension.

"It's been a week nearly" I replied, "Why?"

"Percy, do you still love me?" she asked, alarmed. Her voice was about to crack.

I took a deep breath and replied, "That is what I wanted to talk to you about." Despite the angst on her face, I continued, "I can't stop thinking about the incidence with Annabeth. I feel really bad for her. I don't know why, but still. The past week, I have been thinking only about her" I once again took a shaky breath and continued despite the heaviness in my voice, "I keep thinking about her even when I am with you. I am unable to sleep because I keep thinking about her. I don't understand what has happened to me" I saw turned to face her and saw that she was crying with her face buried in her palms.

"Percy… I-I am….sorry" she spoke between her sobs

I was awe struck, "Why are you sorry?" I enquired

She finally lifted her face from her palms, took a deep breath and spoke, "Percy, I am the reason for Annabeth's heartbreak and your uneasiness"

"How come?" I asked, completely bewildered.

"Percy, I have had a major crush on you for nearly a year. I wanted you to be mine so I asked my mom Aphrodite for a favour to erase your memories about your relationship with Annabeth for at least a week so that I can make you love me. "

"WHAT!?" I asked? And then I felt a locked door of feelings and memories open inside my soul. All those fabulous moments of my life with Annabeth came to existence in my reality. My first kiss, walking through Underworld, turning down immortality and everything just for Annabeth.

"But why- you-… for..what?" I chocked

"I was selfish Percy!" she admitted, breaking down in sobs, "I was so self-centred that I didn't think about anything else."

"So we were never in a relationship? All this was pure magic? I was forced to betray Annabeth because of you?" I yelled at her. Anger surged through my veins. "Annabeth is hurt by me because of you? She has been closed inside her room because of you? I have lost the most important and beautiful thing of my life because of you?" I shouted at her, "Do you even have an idea about what love is? You are a child of Aphrodite aren't you? How could you event think of doing something like this?!"

"Percy! Stop it! Please! You are scaring me! I am sorry!" she screamed but why was there terror on her face?

I turned around to see that all the water in the swimming pool had risen in a whirlwind behind me as I had unknowingly stood up. I was so angry at the moment that I had summoned the water without even knowing what I was doing!

"You know what?" I glared at her, "You don't even deserve my rage. GO TO HELL, RHEA! GO TO HELL!" and I left her there.

ANNABETH'S POV

She had had enough of this. What was the use of living if her love had betrayed her? Percy had even refused to recognize her as his girlfriend that day. It had been a week since the incident and she had been locked inside her room for the whole week while that bitch Rhea was out there enjoying with Percy. She made the decision. She wasn't going to back up now. Sure love can be really beautiful and aesthetic, she had experienced it. But now, she felt like nothing in this world was useful. Everything was a waste in which she had committed the mistake to bling herself with love.

PERCY'S POV

I turned and ran towards my BMW as I heard Rhea sobbing behind me. She deserved far worse than this but right now I had bigger problems to worry about. Annabeth must have been so hurt!

He drove to the house where Annabeth, Piper, Jason, Will and Nico were living.

He parked his car and ran towards the entrance. He opened the doors and burst inside. Annabeth's room was on the second floor so he went for the stairs, ignoring the looks on the face of Jason, Nico and Will.

He was nearly on the first floor when he heard the scream of Piper, "Annabeth!"
