ANNABETH'S POV

She wept throughout the ride as Argus drove her to the airport. She could hear Percy screaming behind the car as she left but didn't back off.

She had to do it. For the sake of Percy's safe future. She tried to control her sobs and was able to do so by the time she reached airport. She took her bags, thanked Argus for the drive and walked in.

The airport was bustling as usual. Thousands of families and couples moving around. Every time she saw a couple holding hands and walking together, her heart winced.

Percy's thoughts themselves made her to sob. She tried her level best to keep her mind off him but only now did she realize that in an unknowing way, Percy had become a part and parcel of her mind. Her heart, her head, her very soul itself.

It was so unnerving that she nearly broke down while collecting her boarding pass. Her flight was delayed for 30 minutes so she had nearly an hour and a half to sit down.

As soon as she sat down, her mind again started to wonder off in the world of Percy Jackson. She was able to control her sobs but that didn't make it less miserable.

Tears kept rolling down her eyes and she put her head on her knees and started to sob silently. Not giving a fuck about the outside world.

She had abandoned her love. The force that kept her life driving and making it rally really aesthetic. She had broken that branch of happiness from her life forever. A part that could never be replaced.

She was brought out from her thoughts by a gentle hand over her shoulders. She turned and saw….

"Aphrodite?" she spoke, amazed, "What are you doing here?"

Aphrodite gave her a gentle smile and spoke, "Well, the cutest couple I had seen in the last century just broke up" she sighed, "I am here to know what the problem was"

"I was so foolish not to see your magic" Annabeth spoke, "it is me because of whom he was in such a situation for days"

"Oh Annabeth" Aphrodite spoke with care in her voice, "Had I known that my blessing would make my favourite couple break up, I would have never done it. I am so sorry"

"No" Annabeth countered, "It is because of me. I am the one who caused it in the first place." And she started to sob.

"Annabeth" Aphrodite started to speak but was cut short by Annabeth

"Please, I will be fine" she spoke, a little bit harshly to address the goddess of love, "I just need some time to myself. Thank you for your support my lady"

"If you wish so" Aphrodite sighed and went puff.

Annabeth was once again left alone to keep wandering in the world of Percy Jackson. The world that was once her beautiful present but now, a harsh and painful past.

She went to the restroom. Cleaned up and boarded her flight. She was now off to her dad's place. Hopefully it will make her feel better.

It will surely make me feel better. She thought to herself. Though she herself wasn't sure about it.

PERCY'S POV

The rest of the day went by in a haze. Percy was still trying to drink in the bitter truth that hid love had abandoned him and left him on his own. Had he been more careful about the sorcery he was under all the time, this wouldn't have happened.

He couldn't control his tears as he sat down by the amphitheatre all by alone after the dinner. This was the place where he had confessed his feelings to her. The place where Annabeth had kissed him.

His thought kept wandering from one memory to the other. All of them about Annabeth. The more he tried not to think about her, the more he ended up thinking about her.

He remembered the first time Annabeth had pecked him on the lips. When they had won the chariot race. He was so happy at the moment that nothing else had mattered more.

Then about the incidence of Mount Etna. Where she had thought that he would not make it and she had kissed him on the lips. All of a sudden. The world around him had switched to high definition. It was his first French kiss and it had been amazing. It was a fierce and passionate one. It had love as well as worry in it. The kiss was the key he was able to make it out of Mount Etna alive.

Those beautiful moments he had shared with her. The time when he had nearly fallen for Rachel and Annabeth had called him a coward. It now seemed so endearing that he couldn't believe the present.

The time when he had flirted with her and asked for a kiss during the Titan War. How she had refused him and told him to stay alive if he wanted one.

The moment when he had turned down immortality for her and she was relieved. His best underwater kiss. When he had to spend eight months of his life without any memory rather than one name, Annabeth.

The time when he had fallen into hell with her. All the times they had enjoyed each other in the bed. They would go on and on for the whole night. The memories only made him feel more miserable.

The world seemed dim without her. He uncapped riptide and firmed his grip. This was the time. He couldn't change the past but could make the future. He set his sword against his throat.

Oh my god! Will he commit suicide? Feel free to review and let me know your guesses. I will post the next chapter as soon as possible. Till then, Stay home, Stay safe and keep reading.
