This one is more like a filler on the story. I am going to develop the bond of friendship between Percy and Jason. Anyways, let us start.

JASON'S POV

Jason was still in shock. Did Percy just do that? He couldn't believe what had happened. Percy just showed Jason's father, The Lord of the Universe, his rightful place. Wow! He never expected this to happen.

Percy had walked out of the throne room with such swag that Jason was forced to follow his lead. Also, now Jason knew that Percy was totally more powerful than him.

There was no comparison between him and Percy. Jason would have never got the guts to do what Percy did. Percy had left his sword in the throne room and Jason had followed him.

Now they were walking towards the elevator. Percy looked really angry but now he had a contended look on his face. Jason thought that Percy had wanted to do this since the beginning, but never got the opportunity.

He did not like the silence between them, so he starts, "Hey Percy"

"Yeah" Percy asks him

"That was something really great" he spoke, "Thanks for standing up for me" Jason was deeply touched by Percy's action.

Now they are near the elevator, Percy turns and faces him, "No one messes with my bro. You understand?" Percy raised his eyebrow, "No one. Not even the Lord of the Universe"

Jason had tears in his eyes now. He had never been so emotional before, not even with Piper. He hugs Percy tightly, squeezing his lungs out of his ribs. He let the tears flow down. They were tears of happiness and joy.

"Thank you so much Percy" Jason spoke, "I love you bro, and I love you"

"Hey hey, big boy" Percy spoke as he grabbed Jason's shoulders, "We are family right? That's what family does."

"Yeah" Jason replied, still a little bit shaken

"Now stop crying otherwise I will post your photo on insta" teased Percy

"You are such a brat Percy" Jason punched Percy playfully.

"I am going to tell, Piper that you love me more than her" Percy teased again, "I can't wait to see her expressions" they both laughed.

They were interrupted by an unwanted Olympian goddess. Oh Jason had been twice interrupted in his laugh by goddesses today. He didn't appreciate it very much.

He glances up and sees Athena. Great. Now Annabeth's mother was here to piss Percy off. First Annabeth and now her mother.

Percy did not like her presence either.

"What do you need, ma'am?" Percy asked in a tone of grudging respect.

"I am here to talk, Percy Jackson" Athena spoke with amazing gentleness.

PERCY'S POV

What? Why did she want to talk? Hadn't her daughter hurt him enough?

"What do you want to talk about?" Percy asked rudely, even though she was a goddess, he couldn't help but be angry with her.

"I wish to know what is wrong with you, Perseus" Athena asked

"What is wrong with me?" Percy asked, puzzled

"The Percy whom I know, who had twice saved the world, who had defeated Kronos, isn't the one I am talking to. That Percy Jackson was surely annoying but he was much better at controlling himself. He was much better than disrespecting others. Much better than being rude. Where is that Percy Jackson? Where is the Percy Jackson whom my daughter, Annabeth loved?"

"Don't….Don't mention her name." Percy gritted his teeth, "Don't you mention her name" his eyes were swelling up now, "She left me" now Percy was sobbing, he was down on his knees, "She left me" he sobbed, "I hate her" he kept sobbing.

"Whom are you convincing, Perseus?" Athena also sat on her knees now, "Whom are you convincing? Me? Or yourself? She loved you and still does. I know it. I approved you only because of her faith and love in you"

"What?" Percy's head shot up, "You approved me?"

"Yes" Athena replied, "I approved you. When you were in the infirmary eight months ago, she was flabbergasted after knowing the truth about Rhea's magic." Athena narrates her the complete story of Annabeth. (Refer chapter 7, 8,9,10 and 11)

"That is the reason she left you" Athena winded up, "she left you so that you will be safe" Percy was shocked. He couldn't even move.

Annabeth loved him so much. He wanted to go find her straight away and kiss her like anything. He wanted to tell her that he loved her. But was he worth of having her? He was again shocked after he heard the next sentence of Athena

"And that is why she needs you now Percy" Athena spoke

"What do you mean by needs me?" Percy tensed up

"She was kidnapped by Hyperion and Krios. They are now heading towards Camp Jupiter. Go. Save her. Be the hero you already are."

Percy couldn't believe it. He wanted to curl up like a ball on the floor and keep sobbing, but he couldn't. He had to save her. He had to save Annabeth. He gathered up all his courage and spoke,

"I will, ma'am. I will not let anything happen to her." he stood up and walked into the elevator.
