Thankfulness In Our Hearts

Katie giggled in excitement as she zoomed around like a little airplane around the ARK, zooming around Ironhide and Ultra Magnus, who chuckled. "Careful there, Katie," said the girl's brother/godfather.

"Okay, Hidey," she promised as she continued on her way, making Ultra Magnus chuckle.

"She's excited for Thanksgiving, hmm?" He asked.

"Yes, she is," said the red Autobot with a smile.

Elsewhere, Optimus was in his office with Rachel beside him and the young girl was eagerly waiting for her uncle to call Thundercracker. The leader chuckled. "Be patient, kiddo. He'll call the moment he can," he said.

Just then, an alert came in on his communications computer and he answered it, finding Thundercracker on the other side of the line. "Hey, Optimus," he said. "We got your message. What's up?"

Optimus chuckled again. "Well, I have a little one here that's eager to ask you something," he said, revealing Rachel was beside him and she was grinning. She moved closer to the computer and smiled.

"TC, can you, Warp, Astro, and Star make it for Thanksgiving?" She asked, her eyes getting bigger. "Please?"

Starscream sighed. "We're not always going to come when you ask, child," he said a bit gruffly.

"Star, be nice," Skywarp scolded slightly.

Rachel pouted. "It's not for me," she said, making them look at her. "It's for Katie. I was hoping you guys could surprise her since she doesn't know that we're calling you."

Astrotrain looked at her sad face and his face softened. "Don't cry, little one," he said soothingly. "Starscream is just being grouchy, that's all."

Thundercracker nodded. "Don't mind him," he said. "You know how much he cares about Katie."

"As if I would," Starscream huffed, but there was a lack of gruffness this time.

Skywarp got an idea. "Hey, Rachel," he said with a smile. "I think Starscream needs a bit more incentive to come to Thanksgiving dinner. Can you ask him again?"

She nodded and put on a sad, pouty face with big eyes that looked ready to fill with tears. Starscream saw her and he was about to scoff, but then she spoke. "Please, Star?" She pleaded. "For Katie?"

For good measure, she stuck out her bottom lip, looking very sad. Thundercracker and Skywarp tried not to laugh as they knew their brother would not be able to say 'no' to that and Astrotrain was determined that if the seeker said 'no', he'd personally drag him over to the ARK and have Katie ask him.

Starscream looked at the sad face of the young girl and was sharply reminded of Katie. Unbidden, his mind went back to the time he helped her and of the previous Thanksgiving when she sat next to him, unafraid. She even accepted him. It had been a peaceful day, one that he had been wishing for as Megatron had been on a rampage that time.

Skywarp smiled. "Come on, Star," he said. "You know you want to see Katie."

"You know you love her as much as we do," Thundercracker said.

"She'll be so disappointed if you don't come," said Astrotrain.

Rachel decided to drive the nail home. "She told me a secret wish," she said, seeing them look at her. She then looked around to be sure it was just her and Optimus in the office and she cupped her left hand around her mouth. "But you can't tell her that I told you."

"We won't, little one," Skywarp said.

"What is this secret wish?" Optimus asked gently, though he had a feeling he knew.

Rachel giggled. "Katie wants you to come for Thanksgiving, Starscream," she said in a whisper, though they could hear her fine. "She wants to give you something very special that she made in school. Something that can't be bought in a store."

"Something that comes from the heart?" Thundercracker asked with a smile.

The young girl nodded. "She's got something for you too, TC," she said. "And for Warp and Astro." She then looked around again. "But remember, don't tell her that I told you that."

"We won't," Astrotrain said with a wink. "It'll be our little secret."

Rachel giggled before looking at Starscream, giving him the pouty face again and he sighed. "Fine," he grumbled. "We'll be there."

The blond-haired girl grinned. "You better not change your mind," she said scoldingly, which made the others chuckle.

"Oh, don't worry, kiddo," Skywarp said, reaching over and tickling Starscream's wings, making him howl in laughter as he collapsed and Thundercracker pounced as well, helping to tickle their brother. Astrotrain chuckled in amusement.

"They'll tickle him to pieces if he goes back on his word," he said to the young girl. "We'll be there soon, sweetspark."

Rachel giggled as they signed off, making Optimus chuckle. "We better get everyone together," he said. "It's almost time."

"I'll go get everyone," the seven-year-old said, waiting until he set her down on the floor before she began running, scampering down the hall, but she came to a harsh stop as two figures appeared in front of her. She backed up rapidly, looking for the alarm button when she heard gentle chuckles.

"Don't be afraid, Rachel," said one of them that was maroon and blue in color, his voice soothing.

"We won't harm you," said the other in a deep voice. He was large and had a bit of a golden glow to him.

She looked at them. "How do you know my name?" She asked as she knew she had never seen them before.

"I am Alpha Trion," said the first one that had spoken.

"And I am Primus," said the other one.

The seven-year-old gasped. "You...You saved Katie!" She said in realization. "The monster was after her and you both stopped him."

They nodded and caught the child as she hugged them happily. "Thank you for saving my sister," she said.

"You're welcome, young one," said Primus, gently rubbing her head.

She then looked up. "But...I thought...you had passed away, Alpha Trion?" She said.

"No, my dear," he said soothingly. "I'm very much alive, but have only come out when needed. I thought today would be a good day to surprise my granddaughter and great-niece."

She blinked. "Great-niece?" She asked.

"You, little one," Primus said with a chuckle, noting her surprised face. He gently poked her side, making her giggle. "Now, I believe you were on a mission to tell the others that it was nearly time?"

Nodding, she felt Alpha Trion set her down and she quickly ran to find the others. She found Red Alert, Prowl, Inferno, and Bluestreak in the rec room and they chuckled as she came racing in. "What's the rush, kiddo?" Bluestreak asked.

She giggled. "Uncle Optimus said it's nearly time and Alpha Trion and Primus are here too!" She said.

The second part of the news made the bots freeze in shock. "What?" Prowl asked, trying not to glitch.

Inferno looked at Rachel. "Are you sure, kiddo?" He asked.

She nodded. "They're down the hallway," she said, pointing. "I've got to find the others."

With that, she ran off, finding Elita, the Protectobots, Skyfire, Chromia, Jazz, Bumblebee, Rodimus, Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, Roadbuster, Drift, Wheeljack, Blaster and his cassettes, and Skids outside with Omega Supreme. They looked up as she approached them. "Guys! It's almost time!" She said happily. "And Starscream, Skywarp, Thundercracker, and Astrotrain are coming and Alpha Trion and Primus are here!"

Roadbuster and Drift leapt to their feet in shock. "What?" The former asked. "How is that possible?"

"I thought Alpha Trion had passed on," Skids said gently.

"No," Blaster said gently. "He's alive, but he's been in hiding."

Sideswipe and Sunstreaker looked at Rachel. "You sure you're not pulling our leg, kiddo?" The red twin asked.

"I am not!" She said, stomping her foot as she pouted. "They are here!"

"Okay, calm down, kiddo," said Skyfire gently, picking her up.

"Come on, guys. Rachel's never lied to us," said Bumblebee.

"Her uncle raised her to not lie," said Jazz.

"I can't believe you two would think that, even if it seems a bit unbelievable," said Chromia.

"True," Elita said.

"Just like my little sister, my cousin doesn't lie," said Rodimus, smiling at Rachel.

"Indeed not," said Omega Supreme. "Because there are Alpha Trion and Primus now."

He gestured with an arm and the bots were shocked to see the two while Rachel giggled. "I told you!" She said, bouncing in Skyfire's arms.

Roadbuster laughed. "That you did, kiddo," he said, ruffling her hair playfully.

The others chuckled and Alpha Trion smiled. "Well, what are we all standing around her for?" He asked. "Let's go in."

Engines caught their attention and they looked up to see the four Decepticons coming, transforming as they landed. Blaster smiled. "Glad you guys could make it," he said.

"Well, Rachel asked us," said Thundercracker.

"Looks like she'd do anything for Katie just as we would," Skywarp said.

Astrotrain smiled and Starscream kept quiet, but they headed into the Autobot base and Optimus stood up in surprise at seeing his creator and the very bot who was Cybertron. "Alpha Trion, Primus," he said in surprise. "Welcome."

"Thank you, Optimus," Primus said, shaking his hand.

"We hope it's alright if we join you for Thanksgiving too?" Alpha Trion said.

"Of course," the leader of the Autobots said before smiling. "Come. I know someone who will be excited to see you all."

When they arrived in the massive room that was for the dinner, Katie was helping Perceptor with the place settings and the scientist looked up before gasping in surprise. Katie looked up at him and then looked to where he was looking and she gasped too, her hands covering her mouth. "Grandpa? Primus?" She asked hopefully.

"Hello, little princess," Primus said warmly.

"It is us, Granddaughter," Alpha Trion said.

The child ran forward, leaping into her grandfather's arms. "Grandpa!" She said happily, hugging him before reaching for Primus, who accepted her into a hug. "Primus."

"It's good to finally meet you in person, little princess," the benevolent bot said before smiling. "And look who else is here."

He gestured to the four 'Cons and Katie gasped. "TC! Warp! Astro! Star!" She said happily, feeling Primus set her down and she ran to the four. Thundercracker scooped her up and hugged her before handing her to Skywarp and Astrotrain, who hugged her. "But, how did you guys know I wanted you to come?"

Skids and Wheeljack noticed Rachel was smiling hugely and they chuckled. "Seems like a little birdie told them," said Skids.

"Lazerbeak?" Katie asked.

Skywarp chuckled. "No, but he does send his love," he said. "It was someone who you're close to and knew that you'd be happy if we came. Even got Mr. Grumpy to agree to come." He gestured to Starscream.

"Skywarp, hush!" The seeker said, looking a bit embarrassed. Katie went up to him and lifted her arms up to him. Seeing this, he let out a quiet sigh and picked her up, to which she hugged him.

"Thank you for coming, Star," she said softly. "I love you."

He'd be a liar to deny that he didn't love her too, but he just hugged her, hoping the hug would convey the words he refused to say.

Elita smiled at that and looked at her sparkmate. "My love, I think we all have thankfulness in our hearts not only because of each other, but because of two sweet girls that came into our lives a few years ago."

"I agree, my love," he said before everyone found their seats and began to enjoy the wonderful meal, factions forgotten as they all enjoyed each others' company.

Katie was especially enjoying herself as she hugged her sister. "Thank you, sis," she said, revealing she knew it was her sister who had asked the 'Cons to come.

"You're welcome, sis," Rachel said. "Happy Thanksgiving."

"Happy Thanksgiving," the honey-haired girl replied happily.

It was truly a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! :)
