INT. BAU Conference Room - EVENING (Scene 1.6)

The team is sitting around the BAU Conference Room table and Garcia stands up to present the case

Garcia: Hello, fabulous crime fighters. Today we are headed to French Lick, Indiana, about 2 hours south of Indianapolis, population 1,800.

Garcia clicks her remote which brings up a screen with a map of Indiana with a point enlarged at French Lick.

She clicks it again and it zooms in closer, to show the local map of the town. A set of graphs with the demographics of the area also appears.

Garcia: Unfortunately for those 1,800 people, 6 women

Garcia clicks her remote and one by one, the images of six women appear. Some are brunette, others more dirty blonde, one redhead. All are young and appear to be the average American girl. The images show up in order of the murders, the names are as follows:

Eleanor Adams, 27

Katie Eldrige, 23

Sarah Wheeler, 29

Isabella Sanders, 26

Taylor Great, 26

Claudia Campbell, 27

Garcia: have been brutally murdered and

Reid interrupts Garcia and looks up, puzzled and disturbed

Reid: Raped Post mortem?

Garcia slowly nods and turns to face the screen behind her

Garcia: Yes, this particular detail is unique and that

[emphasis on "THAT"]

Garcia: is why the French Lick Police have requested the special talents of the BAU. As your wonderful eyes can see all six victims are young women in their mid to late 20s. There's a gruesome amount of violence that you all can see in your terrible tree killing paper folders.

The team continues to thumb through their files, one by one looking back up at the screen and Garcia as he or she finishes familiarizing themselves with the file.

Somewhat disgusted, JJ puts her file back on the table and pushes it away from her, as if the distance will shield her from having to know what the horrors of their job were.

Rossi: There's an alarming escalation in the violence from the first murder to the most recent

Hotch nods in agreement and begins to stand, organizing the papers in front of him

Hotch: The question is why. We'll continue with this on the jet. Wheels up in 30.

The team exits the room one by one, grabbing their go bags from their desks in the bullpen.
