Artemis pov:
I was intent on having a normal day, you know like in the middle of March, like most people. No. It just had to be the day that today Cassy had to say we're all going to a show and to start practicing. By we I mean me, Apollo, Hermès, Athena, and Ares. We are the Pine Wood Riding School (PWRS) elite team, by that I mean that we are the best riders in the barn making the Teen Elite National Team.
We all sighed, the first show of the year. I went up to Diablo's stall and he was a handsome full black Thoroughbred, Arabian gelding. He has an attitude and tries to bite anyone who he either doesn't know or doesn't like, you'd think he was a stallion. He snorts in recognition and pricks his ears forward expecting a treat. I chuckle. I go in and of course he is caked with mud like always. I start to brush him off. I do cross country, dressage, and occasionally the jumpers but Diablo hates the jumper ring. He would be a great jumper. He's fast and agile but he was brought in from a ranch where he could run around freely. It was a challenge to him break in.
I was going to get my tack, all black with silver lining and buckles. I thought about the saddle but decided against it. The poor boy was terrified of it from his last owners. They were inexperienced in breaking in a horse so it was pretty hard to get him used to a saddle.
He also can run barrels but since this is an English riding barn can't really do that. I bring him into the ring and hop on. He felt a little fresh today, ironic, it's like 87 degrees out. I walk him round a couple of times to make sure he doesn't spook at anything. He may look intimidating but behind the 17hh, all balck exterior he's a big softy, most of the time. I canter him around and he's doing well.
The others start to show up, Apollo on his Palomino Ray-Ray, Hermès on Thief, a gold Alke-take, Athena on her gray Irish Sport horse named Feather, and finally Ares on Spartan a big bay witch I think is a cross between a warm blood and clydesdale. Cassy comes in and starts telling everyone what they're doing at the show. "Okay, Hermès your doing the steeplechase, Apollo dressage, Ares you and Athena are doing the jumpers, and Artemis, you are doing cross country and" she raised an eyebrow, "Barrels, you should probably make sure you can still run those" I nod.
We started the lesson in which was jumping then the others doing dressage and me attempting it. By that I mean Diablo trying to move around the cones without spooking, he's fairly young only 8 so it's understandable. After the block of the lesson was done we moved to the outside ring and set up some barrels.
"Arty, it's been awhile since you ran barrels are you sure you can run them?" Apollo asked. "Yes, and don't call me 'Arty'". I say back. Cassy started the timer and I ran all three barrels nicely, but a little slower then I wanted. "Try again Artemis". I ran them again and was faster. I kept running them till Diablo was panting, and I was sweating.
"That's all we'll do today and good job being able to run the barrels nicely and getting under 18 seconds" Cassy says.
I walk Diablo around. "Artemis, you need to start using a saddle when you start jumping higher and running courses faster, it's a lot safer than bareback" Athena states, their others but Hermès nod. Like me he prefers bareback to saddle the only difference; Thief is more sound than Diablo. "I know, I know, but you know Diablo doesn't like the saddle," I reply.
After untacking, grooming, and cleaning the tack we go home to our dorms.
Third person POV:
As they walked back to their dorms at their school Mount Olympus School for Gods, Nymphs, and Hero's. They bid good night to each other and go to bed.
In the morning waking up was not the easiest thing for Ares and Apollo, ironically the god of the sun doesn't like mornings. Athena and Artemis met at their lookers a) because they were right beside each other, and b) it was where they usually met up with the others. They were in 8th grade meaning that they were on top of the middle schoolers but were sometimes used as crash dummy's by high schoolers. As the two of them talked a group of hero's walked by those hero's also happened to be the one they went to camp with; Perseus, Hercules, Achilles, Theseus, Bellaraphon. Theseus had a smirk on his face and snuck up behind Athena and motioned for Artemis to keep quiet, she knew what was coming and ever so slightly nodded. "BOO!" He said loudly, causing Athena to jump and turn to catch the prankster. But Theseus was to busy laughing to care. "THESEUS!" She said loudly only causing the hero to laugh harder, the others were chuckling but not full out laughing.
Then Apollo, Hermes, Ares, Dionysus, and Hephaestus. "What happened here? Why is Theseus laughing like a mad man, and 'Thena looking like she wants to strangle Theseus?" Ares asked. After Hercules explained everything that just happened the boys were chuckling to.
After chatting aimlessly for a couple minutes the bell rang signaling they should get their ass to class lest they want detention.
Math with; Athena, Apollo, Dionysus, Hercules, and Achilles.
"Who knows what x equals?" Asked the teacher. Some raised their hand *cough* Athena *cough* but others were doing something else, Achilles was sleeping, Hercules was making spit wads with Apollo, and Dionysus was staring out the window.
The teacher sighed, "Athena go ahead and answer the question" "x equals 57 and 20/90" she answered. And once again she was right. After what seemed like ages but was actually just 45 minutes, the bell rang and they got up and walked to their next class.
Science with; Theseus, Bellaraphon, Ares, and Hephaestus
"Now, slowly pour the liquid into the beaker" Hecate said. "Do not and I repeat do not pour it in all at once". They were making elephant toothpaste but smaller, and of course Ares wanting to see some action and Bellaraphon thinking it would be funny they poured all the liquid (they didn't know or care what it was called) into the beaker. A blue, green paste substance blew up out of the tube like a volcano all over the desk, it released a smell so bad that python would smell good.
"ARES, BELLEROPHON!" Hecate yelled. The others were either laughing or in Theseus' case shaking his head. The pranksters were laughing so hard they didn't notice the angry goddess behind them. "You two, detention two days" she clipped off.
P.E. With; Hermes, Artemis, and Perseus
"Okay, urchins" the coach announced. "Today we're going to climb the ropes, so partner up!" The popular girls started partnering up with each other less they had jock boyfriends. Then the people who had friends partnered up, Hermes was going over to Artemis to be his partner but before he could ask some ass-hole pushed past him. "Arty, how bout you come with me and ditch the losers" Orion said gesturing to Hermes, and Perseus. Artemis rolled her eyes and replied, "No thanks and don't call my 'Arty', I'm going to go back to my friends now" "Don't be ridiculous, come with me and hang out with the cool people your better than these bottom feeders" Orion sighed and started to pull Atemis away.
"Dude she said no, so back off" Perseus stepped in. He knew Artemis didn't like having help but he also knew that Orion wouldn't listen to Artemis if she said 'no'. The 'Dude' in question just scoffed and walked off. "Thanks Perce but you know I don't like nor did I need help" Artemis said. "Start climbing, what is this social time?! NO! Gym class no move it urchins!" Coach Nike yelled.
Not wanting to anger her and run 25 laps they started climbing the ropes. Unsurprisingly Hermes and Artemis got the fastest time.
Lunch; Hermès POV:
Going into the cafeteria I kept replaying the scene from gym class in my head. Why didn't step in and stop the over egotistical jackass. Because if you had you would have pounded the punk. Great now I sound like Ares.
Today the food was salad or chicken legs with Ghost Peppers mostly everyone got the salad except the twin because bApollo loves chicken and Artemis loves spicy food and chicken. She's weird like that but to be fair I'm weird to everyone knows that. Partly because Apollo, Artemis, and I keep in touch with our moms side of the family so more Titan in our blood than others.
We met up with the others and Theseus and Hephaestus were laughing at something, "Hey guys what's up, why are you laughing?" Athena inquired. "Nothing except that Boar Head and Bell Boy got detention for making an explosion in class" Hephaestus laughed out. The others also started chuckling. I started thinking of new stunts and pranks to pull.
Apollo POV:
Why can't Theseus just demigod up and ask Athena out already it's obvious they like each other! I swear I might just put the two of them in a closet and see what happens. I gave my peppers to my younger sister. I'm older no matter what she tells you. Why she likes spicy peppers? I don't know, she's odd.
"Artemis, Babe, what are you doing with these losers, you can come sit with me and the other cool people, not these" Orion faltered wondering what to call us. "These, low lives" Orion was a ninth grader who thought he was all that. "No, I already told you, so stop asking Orion" Arty ground out. Okay so. This isn't the first time he's been this bold about, whatever he wants with Artemis. He probably needs to remember my rules for boys round my little sis;
Rule 1: don't flirt, and/or hit on, ask out, objectify, etc.
Rule 2: don't touch, less you have permission even then nothing other than hugging (if even that)
Rule 3: don't try to seduce I will end you and she will to
Rule 4: mess with her and you won't live to regret it
Rule 5: insulting her or mom will guarantee you in the infirmary for at least a day
Rule 6: if male keep at least five feet (1.5 meters) in distance less family or close friend
Rule 7: try anything and i will know and hunt you down and hurt you so bad you will wish for death

A little weird, yes but I'm very protective of my little sis. Mess with her and I Will breach every bone in your body while naming them. All 206 bones. After the bell rang I hurried off to biology with the others.
