The industrial development of the British Empire following the discovery of New Windsor and the later technology found there was thrown forward massively as the United Kingdom alone couldn't produce what was needed to develop the planet and so the United Kingdom turned to the Dominions for aid. Canada and Australia were the two nations most affected by the increasing industrialisation of the British Empire especially once the engine of the Death gliders began to be used to power trains that connected the massive nations together. Australia's main line the Barton line went to every state capital and then to New Zealand the Canadian Victoria line went from Newfoundland through the troubled region of Quebec to Vancouver connecting the Dominion in a few hours.

The United States election of 1912 was controversial after their victory in 1908 the Republican party had secured the government since the end of the nineteenth century and some were growing discontent of their rule. Leading the charge was former president Theodore Roosevelt who had attempted to secure the Republican nomination only to lose to his successor William Howard Taft in response to this he left the Republican party and officially formed the Progressive or Bull Moose party which secured his nomination as the Progressive candidate for President of the United States. Early in his run he secured a vital endorsement from the founders of New Salisbury which secured the votes of those who wanted a closer relationship with Britain especially after the discovery of the Stargate. Yet as he ran around the United States the greatest boon came to him the fruit of his negations with the United Kingdom.
The United Kingdom agreed to build three train lines across the United States utilizing Death Glider technology one from New York to Seattle the Lincoln line, a line from Richmond to Portland the Washington line and one from Charleston to San Francisco the Franklin line. The three train lines connected the United States more than anything else had before the amount of time needed to cover the distance of the nation was decreased massively even if the three trains were going at their slowest speed possible. Theodore Roosevelt was able to point at the train lines and say that he was the reason that they had been built and they connected America more than ever securing him support from the states that the lines had been built through. When election night came it was a deadlock the Progressive party had won more states and electoral College votes than the Republicans while the Democrats had won the largest number of states yet not enough to win the election and so for the first time since 1825 the election went to the House and Senate. The Republicans entered into negations with the Progressive party and eventually agreed Theodore Roosevelt would get his third term with Nicholas Murray Butler acting as his Vice-President and while the Progressive Republican party would not be formed for a few years it's seed was planted in the election of 1912.

The Republic of Turkey was founded in a trying time the Ottoman Empire had been dismembered and the remaining lands not annexed by the Balkan League or Russia had fallen into their economic orbit. Mustafa Kemal Pasha took control of the nation in the Treaty of Constantinople and commenced his rule over the fractured state with a wave of reforms bringing in an international period of 'friendly neutrality'. Beginning by unilaterally renouncing any and all claims on the territory lost in the Treaty of Constantinople securing friendly relations with the Balkan League and the United Kingdom. Then he turned inwards opening up Turkey for investment while enacting reform after reform most notably the surname law requiring every Turkish family to take on a last name, he took on the name of Atatürk. Atatürk led the Republic of Turkey from a shattered broken ruin of nation to the economic power it is today while he died in 1939 he is still seen as he greatest Turk of all time and his funeral was attended by the leaders of all the nations that had fought in the Balkan war.

The Goa'uld presence on Earth following the revolt in Egypt that had banished Ra was restricted to four Goa'uld Osiris and Isis had been entombed together in the depths of Egypt and several digs were drawing close to them by early 1914 yet they would escape detection for several years due to entangled bureaucracy and a lack of interest in the site in question. Hathor was in the depths of Mexico and would not be found until the dying years of the Mexican Civil war when she would be freed and wreak havoc upon the war-torn nation. Yet the last and ultimately most influential of the Goa'uld on Earth was Seth one of Ra's great rivals and the only free Goa'uld on Earth. Following Ra abandoning Earth Seth and wandered the Earth establishing cults focused around worshipping him as a god by the time that the Stargate was discovered he was in the depths of Siberia following his banishment from France following the Franco-Prussian war. He would remain in the depths of the far east of Russia until 1911 and when he emerged in Afghanistan he heard of the Stargate from a radical Muslim preacher whose body he proceed to take control of as he began his move towards the United Kingdom.
The Goa'uld would board one of the many ships heading towards the United Kingdom and through there New Windsor were he began to establish his customary cult after the too control over one of the ships staff he deposed his former body and spread his influence. The lower decks of the ship became little more then a den for his cult where it was known rule that no one who went down there came back. One of the few records we have of the deck is that the air was thick with Nish'ta and the Staff Weapons and Zat'nik'tels used by his guards were carried with no care for who saw them as they all worshipped Seth.
When he reached the United Kingdom in late 1912 he moved inland as he knew that he didn't have enough men to secure the Stargate for the time he needed so he withdrew to the Highlands were he abandoned the body he had taken and took over the body of the Marquess of Lothian securing himself an isolated country estate to build up and train his army. He and his perverted cult would lurk in the Highlands for the next twelve years gathering power and preparing for a strike so that their god Seth could escape the bonds of Earth and stride amongst the stars once more.

New Windsor would continue to grow following their integration into the United Kingdom as more and more people funnelled to the greatest symbol of the British Empire at the time. Following the allow of non-British nationals to migrate to New Windsor the population exploded with many Germans, Russians, Poles, Hungarians, and others flooding to the planet. In some case the empires actively encouraged their minorities to move away most notably in Russia where the pogroms intensified to the point that the Tsar and his Duma passed a law revoking Jewish citizenship while the majority of the Russian Jewish population would flee to British occupied region of Judea some moved to New Windsor.
The most notable affect of the great removal as some called it in Europe was the number of cities on New Windsor skyrocketed starting with the German city of Neu Nuremberg that today dominates the north-west coast of Nouveau Normandy. Other cities include New Budapest on the far side of Lake Rhodes to New Mumbai and the two cities to this day hold a rivalry. The Polish migrants to New Windsor would mostly settle on the flat plains and rolling hills of what today we call Nowa Polska but back then was known as the Asquith plains with the gleaming city of Sobieski starting off as a few farms in the middle of the wilderness. As Winston Churchill said, 'the United States once opened her arms to all with her great stretching plains yet what does half of a continent compare to a planet.'.
