The capture of Bra'tac and two other Jaffa at Nova Merica was vital for Royal Stargate Command in both the short and long run. As IIET-1 and the Black Watch dragged their prisoners through the Stargate at Leicester the men standing by were members of the interrogatory corps of Royal Stargate Command. Bra'tac and the other two Jaffa were separated and thrown into a van that headed towards the Highlands and Fort George. Where the Jaffa captured on Ùr Albion one Dur'nead still rotted. Dur'nead had not held that much useful information and the British had chosen to leave him in Fort George until they found another use for him he would later die in 1934.
Compared to Dur'nead Bra'tac held a wealth of use and information for the British. He willingly told them everything that he knew about the Goa'uld and his knowledge on the power of the Goa'uld empire. The revelation that the Goa'uld were parasites that stole the bodies of innocent humans terrified the British and they instituted a tactic of aiming at the heads of the Goa'uld host bodies in order to hopefully kill the actual Goa'uld. The other two Jaffa were not as useful to the British as they both believed that Apophis was a god compared to the view of Bra'tac that he was a false god. The usefulness of Bra'tac led to the British deciding to free him from Fort George and interrogation. The British decided to test the abilities of the Jaffa in a fair environment so they could fully decide the best tactics and strategies for the British when fighting the Goa'uld and Jaffa. Bra'tac's staff weapon had not yet been dissembled and so he and his Staff Weapon were taken to a military shooting range to see of the scientists that had first developed the British plasma weapons had just been bad at using the Staff Weapons. Tolkien himself choose to be the opposition to Bra'tac as he was not the best shooter in IIET-1 and if an average shooter could outperform the First Prime of a Goa'uld the British weapons would clearly be superior. Several times Tolkien and Bra'tac shoot at targets for a minute the targets range would vary each time but at the end of the testing the result was clear. Tolkien had managed to hit around the bullseye on the majority of his targets at varying ranges he had also been able to fire quicker. Bra'tac had hit the general centre of the target every time but he had fired slowly and with careful aim and even when he was ordered to fire as quickly as possible had had not been able to compete with Tolkien. The British secured the knowledge that their weapons were superior to the Staff Weapons of the Goa'uld Empire and began to work with Bra'tac to develop tactics against the Jaffa in offensive and defensive battles. Bra'tac would also petition to join IIET-1 since they were lacking two members from the battle of Nova Mercia. While one slot would be filled by the Wulfen Sigurður Steelfangs one slot remained empty. Bra'tac pointed out that he would give IIET-1 a direct benefit due to his knowledge of Goa'uld controlled worlds and Jaffa tactics. His detractors pointed out that he could merely be lying about the Goa'uld or faking his views on them. The argument raged through December of 1925 and early January of 1926 until Tolkien agreed that he would allow Bra'tac to join IIET-1. In return after every mission Bra'tac would go through an evaluation on every front and would constantly have guards when on Earth. If Bra'tac did anything wrong all of the blame would fall on Tolkien, but his Roman Catholic views led to him believe that no one was born evil and everyone had a chance of redemption. These views would be proven right soon enough.
The other major impact of Bra'tac defecting to the British was his explanation of the Goa'uld stance of dealing with advanced civilizations that they believed posed a threat to them. The Goa'uld would destroy any and all sign of technology and reduce any survivors of the planet to slaves that they would spread across their worlds and eliminate their culture. The British seized upon this as the perfect opportunity to get the international publics support on their side. The press conference outside of Ten Downing Street is generally seen as nearly as influential as the one initially revealing the Stargate to the world. The world was shocked at the idea that an interstellar threat would wipe out all of humanity for what one nation would do. Many of the more anti-British or nationalistic parties of the world used it as the excuse to begin to distance themselves for the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. In some case politicians and parties advocated that the Stargate be stripped from the British this view was generally seen as suicidal to the rest of the world, but it gained from popularity in the more nationalistic and aggressive parts of society. As insane as those views seemed at the time today they seem a death wish. Though these views were politically isolated, and many right-wing politicians distanced themselves from those who supported a war against the British Empire they still existed and were absolutely insane. Then on the 1st of February 1926 Luis II of Portugal and the Prime Minister Alfredo de Sá Cardoso announced that they were forming a force to hopefully fight alongside the British against the Goa'uld and that the Portuguese Parliament had authorised a declaration of war against the Goa'uld Empire. The British accepted the offer and the first PIET (Portuguese Interstellar Exploratory Team) was formed to fight against the Goa'uld. This was the first of the International Interstellar Exploratory Teams as many of the governments that had a strong pro-British view began to form groups to fight against the Goa'uld alongside their ally of the British Empire.

The Kingdom of Egypt had entered a period of prosperity following their independence in the Balkan War with large international investments and archaeological digs across the country the people were dragged out of poverty. As the economy boomed the newly elected Egyptian Peoples Party wished to launch a project that would make their mark into Egypt for all time and one Dr. John Ball held that option for them. The Qattara Depression lay in the west of Egypt close to Libya and around 100 Kilometres from the Sea. In 1924 Dr. John Ball had decided to work out what would happen if the Egyptian Government made a canal or tunnel connecting the Depression to the Mediterranean. When this report was offered the Egyptian government, they seized on it with both hands. Yet they found that they just did not have enough money in their budget to build it. So, they began to look abroad for companies or nations willing to work with them. Their neighbour to the east the Kingdom of the Arabs agreed to help with the construction. The Kingdom of Italy also choose to work with Egypt on the Canal due to rising unemployment in the southern half of the nation. With the funding secured Egypt turned to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland to check if they were willing to support the move. The British agreed to let the Egyptians go ahead with the construction project and several companies agreed to pitch in. In return for certain concessions. But on the 15th of May 1926 the Kingdom of Egypt, the Kingdom of the Arabs, and the Kingdom of Italy began construction on the Qattara Canals.
