The defensive development of Neu Deutschland was the pinnacle of the British plasma artillery advancements since its development in 1910. After the discovery of the Goa'uld Ha'taks and Al'kesh the British had begun to develop artillery pieces for fighting against the Goa'uld if they attacked from orbit using their Ha'taks. On the worlds that the British had colonized as well as Earth itself they had raised heavy plasma artillery both around the Stargate and on the highest areas that they could find to act as anti-aircraft weapons against both the Ha'taks, Al'kesh and Goa'uld Death Gliders. This all came together on Neu Deutschland. The British raised artillery pieces that would not be out of place on a Dreadnought to fight against the Goa'uld Ha'taks. While the British raised artillery pieces the Germans dug in across the planet they raised bunkers and trenches. The III Royal Bavarian Corps were assigned to hold the area around the Stargate itself under the command of Eugen Ritter von Zoellner. The French forces consisted of three corps under the banner of the 1st French Army under the command of Louis Franchet d'Espèrey formed a reserve force in case the Goa'uld broke through the allied lines. The Russian forces consisted of the First Land Ship division alongside the First Guards Corps and mostly were assigned to the flat plains of Neu Deutschland alongside the other armoured forces on the world those being the British Royal Landcrawler Corps (at the time consisting of division and the Royal Sydney Armoured Regiment) and the Prussian First Panzer Division . The development of armoured forces following the Russian Civil War and the early Goa'uld war was primarily focused on potential wars between human nations Neu Deutschland changed that. The British had raised their first armoured battalion in 1926 under the name of the Royal Landcrawler Corps as the force was aimed to eventually reach a corps worth of strength. On as aside the British had not named their Armoured forces Land-Ships due to worry that the Royal Navy would try and gain influence over the British Army and their Land-Ships. Back to the preparations for the battle the local population were equipped with light weapons and taught how to lead a guerrilla war to make the attack as bloody as possible for the Goa'uld forces.
At the time Ra was leading his tour of his galactic holdings while usually he did it alone in his Flagship the increased tensions and the war against the Goa'uld war led to him bringing Apophis, Cronus, and Lord Yu along with him. The Goa'uld the Ra dragged along on his tour were barred from bringing their Ha'taks along with them allowing Ra to crush any potential threat from his many enemies. As Ra toured his domain he managed to hammer out a permanent peace treaty between Apophis and Cronus though it would fall apart within a few years. The tour was mostly uneventful until they reached Abydos where the last of the British forces on the planet left through the Stargate as Ra's Jaffa ringed down into the pyramid from orbit to collect the Naquadah tithe. Though the tithe was higher than usual Ra did not notice anything to worrying to him and continued on his tour towards Neu Deutschland and the end of his empire.

The Austro-Hungarian Empire had managed to hammer through several desperately needed reforms during the later reign of Franz Joseph I, but it was under Ferdinand VI that the bloated mess that the Hapsburg Empire had become fully reformed to survive. Ferdinand VI had been a supporter of the idea of the United States of Greater Austria partly since the men who had devised the idea were a part of his circle prior to his coronation. While early in his reign he had managed to introduce several major reforms for the Empire the state was still a bloated, divided mess and he desired to change that and enforce that his legacy would be remembered for all time.
The Hungarians refused to accept the loss of their power within the Dual Monarchy but the reformists in the parliament of Hungary managed to force through the Hungarian approval for the reform of the Hapsburg Empire. With both Austria and Hungary aggreging to the reform Ferdinand VI called the Ausgleich of 1927 bringing representatives from across the Empire to the city of Prague. The immediate agreement was that it would be a federal state much like the United Empire of Britannia that would form in three years. The hard part after the decision to be a federal state was drawing up the borders of the states. While the initial suggestion had been to draw along ethnic boundaries Hungary complained due to the land that they would lose which in some cases had a sizable Hungarian minority. The other representatives managed to shout them down by granting sizeable concessions with the proposed state of Slovakia abandoned to Hungary in return for the agreement to the rest of the borders and lingual and cultural protection of the Slovak people. The remainder of the conference went well the constitution was heavily based off the United Empire of Britannia's with an elected lower house and a half elected upper house. The end of the Ausgleich of 1927 was on the 25th of December and the majority of the proposals had passed. The Imperial Federation of the Danube was formed on the 1st of January 1928 commonly called Danubia.

The fall of Campeche to the forces of Hathor was worrying to the great powers of the world and several MI6 agents were dispatched to the newly declared Mexican State. While most were unable to get close to the target one managed to enter her inner circle and proved a vital source of information to the British one Agent Beowulf. Even though he managed to reach the inner circle of Hathor he was unable to find out what some of her more dangerous plans were until it was too late to truly warn the British and their allies. Despite his as some have called failures Agent Beowulf was a vital addition to the British intelligence of Hathor and her rampage.
The Mexican government had managed to stop the Cristero assault to take the East Coast at great cost, but they now had enough forces to launch a counter-attack against Hathor. The force of approximately ten thousand men were sent to the south against the forces of Hathor. They were broken the soldiers of Hathor felt no fear, they felt no pain and no matter what the Mexican government threw that them they held the line and then Hathor launched a counterattack and broke the Mexican lines. Operation Santa Anna was aimed towards the west coast of Mexico. The fearless charges of Hathor's forces allowed them to rout the Mexican forces that stood against them and the south of the country fell to the Mexican State. Though this was one of Hathor's great victories it also led to the birth of one of her greatest foes. While the majority of the Cristero actions were in central Mexico there were cells acting in the south and the groups that were now under Hathor's occupation declared the Holy Christian Brotherhood the first resistance group to Hathor. The group declared that Hathor and forces were under the control of Satan and had to be purged from Mexico in the name of the lord. To this day they hold a massive amount of influence within Mexican politics and their influence can be seen today in the Christian Social Party in Germany.
