Imperial Stargate Command kept their head down as the Goa'uld civil war raged across the planets that Apophis controlled as slowly world after world fell to Ra's advance. The slow collapse of Apophis's regime was only vaguely delayed by the Asgard scouting missions that were sent out to check on the status of the Goa'uld war. The majority of the worlds explored in this time were under the control of minor Goa'uld or the local population that had risen up against their overlords. Some of the worlds that were brought into the allied fold at this time includes the planets of Brunel, New Savoia, Dabrowski, and of course Nova Caledonia.
Nova Caledonia was a world populated by the Celtic population of Scotland prior to the Roman Empire invading Great Britain. The people spoke an unevolved Celtic language and it swiftly became an etymologist's dream. The discovery of Nova Caledonia led to a rising of Celtic nationalism with Scotland and Wales both passing laws that formally made them bilingual governments like Ireland. The world was annexed by the British and was swiftly developed into the lumberyards of the United Empire of Britannia outstripping even Canada. The world became the centre of Celtic nationalism as more and more Celts looked up to their past and former glories. Though many of the 'Scottish' and 'Irish' Americans began to boost about their heritage despite not really being Scottish and Irish in any way.

The invasion of the United States of America by the Mexican National State despite what many thought was absolutely insane scheme had several supporting factors on her side during the initial invasion of Texas. The majority of the American army had been destroyed in Operation Tenochtitlan and the initial defensive forces of the United States were based around the local National Guard and independent militias. The majority of the American Army that had not been destroyed in Operation Tenochtitlan were in training areas across the nation or deployed in the Philippines and the American puppet states south of Mexico. The ability of the American government to respond to the invasion was sheerly hampered by the high numbers of refuges that were fleeing north from Texas and the other states that Hathor had invaded. This only allowed Hathor to advance and capture vital locations.
The fall of San Antonino was a vital victory for Hathor as it showed the American people that she mean business and it allowed her to break the will of the American people. The only defenders were a few militias and the National Guard. The soldiers of Hathor outnumbered the defenders and had fought before. The last defenders withdrew to the Alamo as the rest of the town fell to make a stand much like in the Texan Revolution. The Second Battle of the Alamo ended much like the first with Mexican forces storming the mission and killing the defenders the last defender committed suicide just before the Mexican soldiers reached him. When the United States flag was torn down and burnt and the flag of the Mexican National State was raised above the mission Hathor sent out her order on what to do with the Alamo and other important cultural, political, economic, and military locations. The Alamo was razed to the ground and replaced by a statute of Hathor built from the ruins of the mission. The reaction by the American people was of absolute rage and the recruiting numbers for the American Army skyrocketed as every man and his son attempted to join the army and avenge the destruction of the Alamo by Hathor. While the recruited soldiers would not see action till at least the Battle of New Orleans, and many would only fight in the Second Invasion of Mexico, but the razing of the Alamo would bring about the mass of men that crushed Hathor's forces.
The force that struck towards the American west coast had to deal with the last of the well-trained forces that had been sent south for the Mexican intervention in the Baja California remanent. Thus, the western force captured the least amount of American Land compared to the other two. By the time that the Mexican forces crossed the California border the first defensive line around New Orleans had already fallen to Hathor's eastern force. The first successful American counter-attack in fact was on the western front when the last few Landcrawlers of the First American Landcrawler Division threw back Hathor's forces at Coahuila City. The victory led by one George S. Patton became a focus point of American propaganda during the Mexican Civil War. But despite Patton's victory the Mexican forces marched forwards no matter what stood against them they continued to march forward against the Americans and their Mexican allies. The invasion of the United States led to the Americans slowly withdrawing as many of their troops possible from the Philippines. The American government under Al Smith opened negotiations with Filipino leaders in order for them not t rise in revolt against the drastically weakened garrison on the isles. The American government agreed to grant independence to the Philippines by at least 1945 in return for troops to fight against Hathor and not rising up against the American Government. The Manila agreement allowed the Americans to withdraw all of their forces from the Philippines alongside the newly raised First, Second and Third Filipino divisions to fight against Hathor.
The force that struck towards New Orleans moved with less speed then the force striking towards the north of Texas and Oklahoma. The force that marched along the Gulf of Mexico did not face too many American forces. However, the British used their Naval bases in the Caribbean Sea to act against the Mexican advance through the use of the Imperial Navy, Imperial Air Force and occasional use of the Imperial Marines to raid Hathor's supply lines and attack the positions of Hathor's men. Despite the British raids Hathor's men entered Louisiana on the 20th of June and began the march to New Orleans. The American commanders choose to withdraw all of their forces back to form a defensive line around New Orleans with several lines behind that leading up to the city itself. The British managed to land three regiments to act as reinforcements for the American lines in the city of New Orleans itself. As many people as possible were evacuated from the city to either Florida, Jamaica, or the British West Indies. Hathor's forces managed to break through the defensive lines north of the city if taking heavy casualties and reached the outskirts of the city by the 10th of July and launched the first attack on the city the Battle of New Orleans had begun.
